I will start my saying they are comfortable. At the same time, all the hype about how cushy they are, I don't feel it. I wear them for 10 consecutive full days on concrete at a time. Definitely no pain or stress. However, average feel. Also, most shoes I wear normal width. I needed wide in these. Exchange was easy.

To be honest, I have had Skechers for the past 13 years and I do not see any difference in comfort. Sorry for the comment. The Hokas seem very warm on a hot day compared to the Skechers. The Hokas are tiring on my feet after a few hours. I just feel like the Skechers are more comfortable and less in price. Most everytime I have thought that you get what you pay for, this time I feel Skechers are a better buy for me. Sorry just being honest. Thank you

Fit true to size. Didn't have the issue that other reviewers commented on (i.e. being narrow at forefoot). I have medium to high arches, so the arch support was not a nuisance for me... though it could be bothersome for those with low arches or flat feet. Roomy toe box in my opinion. Super comfortable underfoot and feet feel very stable. I have not suffered shin splints nor fatigue in legs/feet after wearing the Clifton 8s. Awesome shoe!!

This is actually a quite nice little shoe though I probably should have ordered a half size larger. I will manage with this by using a shoe stretcher at first and give them a good wear to break them in properly. If you are a Men's Size 9, your toe will be right up front and by lifting it, you will definitely see it. I also have a wider foot than the D would indicate which is another reason to stretch it a bit. Why don't manufacturers cater to those of us with wider feet? Think of the possibilities if they did. PUMA missed the boat completely on that one!!
I'd also recommend:

The comfort is there, can be standing all day. The reason I put 4 stars is because they are narrow. Overtime I can feel some discomfort on my forefoot, nothing unbearable just noticiable. Overall, great shoe for walking and wearing for a 10 hours work shift.

My wife and I walk everyday- brisk walk for exercise. The HOKA Clifton has excellent support and extremely light weight construction. I love the shoe. This is my second pair and it won't be my last.

Quite a bit longer than expected. Typically wear 8 or 8.5 and in this case, I am going to return the 8 for a 7.5.

Nice shoes. I’m 210 lbs and feel the shoes could be a little stronger. Websites that sell Hokas, don’t really discuss the strength of the shoe as compared to the person’s weight. I’m sure the woman’s model is more supportive on a comparative basis. Bottom line: I’m happy with this Hoka model.

I've been loving the comfort and looks but the shoe seems a little narrow even though I got the wide.

These shoes are very comfortable and I like the overall sportyness of the design. What I do not like is that the inside near the back of heel is ripping after a few months of wear. Overall these are good if you stand on your feet all day at your job.

Very comfortable shoes. I love the way they feel. I have bad heel pain and these seems to help. Only thing is that I wish they were a little wider.

Great show design and feels really great running. I've never had real running shoes, so these are just amazing to feel after having other shoes that were not supposed to be run long distances in.

I use them for walking, about 6mi daily. They are comfortable and don’t hurt my feet. A little bit of stability issues when hiking but I knew that. The only issue is they wear out quickly - 4 months tops, probably closer to 3.

I'm not a runner. I've had several health issues (arthritis in one foot, both knees and bulging discs in lower back). In most athletic shoes, I am in pain with in minutes of walking hard surfaces. These shoes have been more comfortable than others. They've allowed me to began strengthening these injured and weakened areas with far less pain. Post surgery on the arthritic foot, it was by far the best shoe for me.

The shoe is not as roomy in width and I'm the arch as other Hokas in which I have right. The shoe is very comfortable, responsive and nicely fitting with a 1/2 ordered larger, yet it is still too tight for the wide foot and high arch that Inhave despite having run in this model of shoe previously. Not all updates are worth executing!!!

Hands down, the most COMFORTABLE sneaker I've ever worn! Working a 10 hour day on my feet is no longer painful since I've discovered Hoka.

I wear these shoes all day in the office. They are fantastic! I think the sole is a bit thick, but I've grown used to them and they are a dream to wear! Will buy more for sure!

This is an initial review of the HOKA Clifton 8 after two runs, I’ll try to do one after a year if anyone is interested. Shoes seem to fit true to size and felt comfortable. The stack felt big and initially the shoe felt a little mushy for the first few hundred yards, but I think that was because I’d never had shoes with this much padding. I’m 60 and retired with 26 years in the military, so I have a lot of wear on me, in addition to probably an extra 10-15 pounds. So, I was getting some knee pain from running with cheap shoes. Only doing about three miles for now, but they felt very comfortable and no knee pain. They were a little more then I would normally spend, but Zappos sent a $40 off coupon because we bought some kids shoes last year. After two runs I am very pleased with them and debating on a second pair to rotate with them or find another HOKA shoe to pair them with.

Used the clifton 8 as my Easy / Recovery run shoe in this current race build. Comfort is great, very neutral for wherever you strike. They are not a fast shoe, at all. So you won't want to wear them as such. But for recovery and easy days they're great. The problems have come as I just rounded about 200 miles. The left shoe for whatever reason loosens after 5-6 miles regardless of how tight it starts out. As well as the sole itself is almost washed white into the foam where I strike. It has minimal to no bounce left at all. Completely different feel than the day I slid them on. And at over $150 a pair, I cant see only getting 200-250 miles (about 2 months for me) out of each pair. But if you don't mind replacing them often, or dont run that much, the shoe out of the box is a great shoe.

In the right shoe on the inside of the ankle there is a piece of plastic inside that might not be installed correctly and it rub’s a little uncomfortable.
