Those of us with wide troll feet need more width. Bondi's are great but you have limited color selection. Clifton has great color options but no 4E options and 2E requires me to go 2 sizes larger so my troll feet fight.

Took a couple runs to full break in, but overall hands down the most comfortable shoe i've had. Tiny squeaks every now and then but totally worth the buy!

I use these for recreation as well as running. They are great when walking and running. But standing around and having a conversation in them can be painful as I have flatter feet.

Lacked wide size options so I had to return. Aside from that it was a very comfortable shoe on my heal and arch.

These are some of the lightest shoes I have been fortunate to have found. They will be perfect for the approaching warmer weather. They are a nice change from the stability shoes my pronation makes me usually look for.

Fit was as expected. The foot opening is larger than normal. My heel didn’t slip but was just not a great fit.

The Clifton is a relatively new shoe for me. I transitioned over from the Rincon to find a shoe that delivers a longer training life. The length is within true but slightly a half size too large. The width is simply too wide to be a runner's shoe. The upper mesh does help negate the extra wide which helps. The platform/last is too flat and straight. It needs to be more curved to offer a better fit in the midfoot. The heel is too loose and wide. I have to utilize the rear lace holes to secure my heel to the shoe. The built in shoe horn is unique which I'm not sure if i prefer that or the 'loop' on the rincon which i often used during stretching routines.

At first the Cliftons felt a little too narrow, but after breaking them in after a month, they now fit better. Great arch support and just the right amount of cusion.

I purchased this pair Hoka Clifton 8 in my normal size, 11 D. They were too tight in the toe box. I returned them and ordered an 11 E and these fit much better. I don’t normally need to order wider shoes, but the Hoka’s were too tight. I’ll keep the 11 E size in these as they fit like my feet like I expected the original order to fit.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, Adidas

Fit and size was probably true to size, but my feet are somewhat wide, so hopefully the shoes stretch out a little (just bought them)

I should have ordered a wider version. The medium width was inadequate for my feet. Having said this, a half size smaller might have worked in a wide width.

I measure a size 11, but have a flat foot. The toe box and heel are good with enough room and cushy feel. The arch portion though seems a bit narrow. I ended up returning them due to discomfort. The arch side dug into the side of my foot. This may not be an issue with you have a high arch though. For my flat feet they were uncomfortable. Design and color were ok. I wanted the black ones but they were out of stock. Tried the darker grey with orange and yellow accents.

As a former D1 XC & Track distance runner, my feedback is to improve Hoka's overall fit for runners.
The Clifton length is a 1/2 size short compared to my On's, Nike, & Adidas for comparison.
The comfort is speaks for itself once you take them out for the first run. I moved up to the Clifton from the Rincon's for better training longevity. The weight differences is negligible for training purposes.
The midfoot section is the biggest fault for the Clifton. The Rincon isn't perfect here either but is much more intimate with the midfoot/arch. I would be ideal for Hoka to improve their platform to reflect more curved last to minimize the void between the arch and footbed.
I look forward in running many miles in the Clifton's and having them last longer.
I'd also recommend:
On Cloud, Adidas Boston, Nike Skylark (if only they'd bring that model back!)

Still a great shoe but not quite as comfortable as my previous Clifford. Probably just needs more Breslin time.

Wear them on days when I will be on my feet all day, on concrete floors, looking to reduce foot pain and stress. A little concerned about the size. Length is fine, but the width may be a little narrow. I've never, in 72 years, purchased a "wide" width shoe, but these are plenty tight. I don't know how much wider your wide size is and I think a shoe that is too loose we be equally bad.
