I was happily shocked by how light-weight the shoes are, and how much cushion there is. I had some gels in another brand but they can't compare. It's been a game-changer for me.

Cliftons have been my go-to daily trainer for the past 6 years. I'm only a few runs in, but this year's update feels a little faster and responsive, while still giving plenty of shock absorption on my aging body.

I was first introduced to Cliftons with the the model 6 and they immediately became my all time favorite running shoe. Then the Clifton 7s made improvements on what I thought was perfection. Now with the Clifton 8, I can say that the best just got even better! I've only put around 25 miles on them so far but strapping these beauties on for my morning run is the best part of my day. I have recently recovered from a sprained ankle and my Clifton 8s have given me the stability and comfort I need to get back to into the game.

I had taken a break from hoka for a few years but wanted to try the new shoe for long runs, easy run etc and am really enjoying the soft cushioning and the way it promotes a mid foot stride. I will be wearing these a lot!

Road running about 20 miles/week. First time in Hoka. Super light and they have a nice cushy feel! True to size, maybe just a tad on the narrow side (might try a wide next time). Color is cool too!

Best shoe yet. I've been in Bondi's for the past 18 months and before that, Brooks Ghost for 6 years. The Clifton 8's may be the best shoe I've run in to date.

Awesome shoe. Comfort and having an option of wides is sweet.

Shoe is an improvement over the 7. The tongue is padded better and the sole seems to absorb more too. I did 12 miles out of the box. Shoes were not heavy, my feet had no hot spots and I could pick up the pace with no effort. Running through some pavement with puddles had no noticeable slippage.

Great shoes with great color schemes to choose from. Very comfortable. Sizing is predictable and true. I wear them every day that ends in a Y.

I have been waiting for this release for weeks since my last pair of Clifton 3's died. Yes-- Clifton 3 (C3), my most favorite shoe EVER. So much that I bought 4 pairs when they came out and have been using through the years. Anyhow, I am always leery of updates and I have not been impressed by anything that came out after the C3. Since I got it in the mail I've put about 15 miles on them and what can I say? I LOVE IT! Finally, an update that to me feels a lot like the C3. It has a good balance of cushioning and lightweight, with an almost bouncy feel when the foot strikes the ground. This is important to me because I am not a small female-- I am a 6'1", 180 lbs. It also has good traction on pavement and gravel, which I appreciate because I live in the country. And the colorway is awesome-- that teal and red combo is super cool! My only complaint is that, while the toe box is comfy, the rest of the shoe felt a bit narrow at first, but getting better as I break them in. But overall, I really love this shoe.

I'm a walker and my Hokas are comfortable and very light. Both attributes I care about when wearing the same shoe all day, every day.

I have the Clifton 7 series shoe and absolutely loved it, and after many months (and miles) of use I decided to try out the new Clifton 8 series. So far, so great! Didn't even have to break these shoes in, as was the case with the Clifton 7. If anything, these new 8s feel is as though they have even more cushioning. Side note: a shoe store sized my foot as 12 regular. Depending on the shoe company, I tend towards a 12 Wide, and that's what I chose with the Clifton 7 and 8. Going with a regular may have been a bit too snug in my case, so if you are on the bubble with shoe width take that into consideration.

Use for walking, great fit first time wearer of Hoka

These bad boys can be used any day of the week for any workout! Long run, tempo run, speed run love how the bottom has just a little bit more rubber for a longer life span than the previous model. Looking forward to putting more miles on these awesome new gen Cliftons!!!

This is my first pair of Hoka One One's. They were recommended to me by my trainer as I have had a ton of knee issues over the years and it was getting to the point of excruciating pain after running. I needed something with a little more cushion and helped me with my mid/forefoot landing...and THIS IS IT! Love them so far. Took them out of the box, went for a quick 2 mile walk to break them in and get a feel for them, then decided to put in a quick 5K. 5 miles total in the shoes and they feel great. First time in a while that I havent had to come home and immediately ice my knees. With that said, just beware that the Black is really BLACK, not the grey/granite color that it appears to be in the photos on the website. That was a little disappointing, but who cares when all you are doing is running in them. If you are looking at your feet, you are looking in the wrong direction :)

My husband and I are on our feet for our jobs (Nurses). Hokas have made a difference in our lives! Our legs, knees do not hurt after a 12 hour shift. My back problem is gone! It is a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! Thank you!

Same Hoka comfort and all day cushioning. I love the look of the Clifton 8, much speedier and slimmer look compared to the past models (I started with Clifton 5's). Great shoe and great colors. My only complaints are that the shoe laces are too long could just be my personal taste; but my other Hokas don't have an issue.
