Just received the Blue Fog/Plein Air Clifton- definitely not my first choice but there weren't many choices in stock so I gave it a try. It is really not a great color combo- the upper is ok appearing a silver grey color, but the heel looks like a pastel lavender, really not a great color combo. I needed new shoes, but so disappointed in these.

I am appreciative that Hoka allowed me to return not one but two pairs of shoes because of early wear on the soles. I was all ready to make these my newest favorite shoes that I kept buying time and again. Unfortunately, it is happening again with both pairs, two styles. As much as I appreciate the effort and consideration that Hoka has invested here, I cannot purchase more pairs if they are going to wear so quickly. Thank you for trying and for your awesome customer service.

I recently bought Clifton 8 thinking Bondi 7 would be too bulky. I'm returning Clifton 8s because not enough cushion for me. Thank you Hoka!

I ordered these to replace my Hoka Hupanas that I have worn for 3 years. Unfortunately I couldn't find the Hupanas for replacement so I ordered these instead. The cushion on the heel was just not enough for me. The shoes were lightweight which was nice, but the support was not as good as the Hupanas.

I have 8 pairs of Hokas all emphasized 9.5. I got the Carbon X2 also in 9.5 and they are just too small not comfortable at all. Toes hurt for hours after a run. I have only worn them twice...was thinking maybe they needed to be broken in. For the price they are not my favorite...love the Clifton 8 and REALLY LOVE THE Mach 4s Seeing your 30 day guarantee below I think I may give you a call and try to return the carbon X2 for larger size

I now have had six pairs of Hokas. Only the first pair, Clifton 8, which are now totally worn out, had reinforced stability on the sides. I walk about an hour a day and find that the lighter, mesh sides without the leather reinforcement on the sides, are just not as providing the same protection as my first pair and contribute to increased foot pain. Disappointing.

I loved my Cliftons and wore them a lot during COVID - walks around the neighborhood, trail walks, going on errands. I occasionally did moderate short hikes in them. I never did any running in them. They are very comfortable. I sized up half a size which was a good fit for me. That being said, after only 1 year, the shoe has completely started falling apart. A big hole in the big toe area, the heel supports of shoe have completely rubbed away exposing the foam, the tread is pretty much worn away. For shoes this expensive, I am curious why they fell apart so fast especially since I never did anything high impact in them. I have had Nikes I wore daily for the same purpose and activities that lasted years and didn't fall apart like this. *** I tried to attach photos but your upload feature doesn't work. ***

I loved the Clifton 7, but I didn't like the Clifton 8s they didn't have as much cushioning. I just bought the bondi's and I love them

This is the second pair of Hoka's I've had that squeaks. It's downright embarrassing to walk about in public places, even on rugs! I had them only a couple of weeks before I noticed the squeaking.

I have a wide foot, plus a bunion on my left. I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing the Clifton 7 in a 7 Wide. It fits well, feet aren't squished at the top, my bunion is not irritated. I was really looking forward to the Clifton 8, especially in the cool black color, but I could not wear them without my feet being totally squished. They look & feel much narrower than the Clifton 7. I wore them twice, for two 4 mile walks, and my left foot was screaming at me in pain. I have read lots of reviews, and have decided to try the Rincon. I hope it works. I cannot recommend this to anyone who has a wide foot or a bunion. Everyone else, have fun.

I was really excited to run in these since I'd read so many raving reviews and they seem to have the perfect balance of cushion and stability. Unfortunately, they are just too narrow. I ordered a men's 9.5 since the women's are on backorder. I've done this with the Bondi 7 and ATR's with no issue. The shoes look great, but the toe box will not allow for splay and swelling, and the midfoot pinches. But they are cute and would likely be great for narrow to normal foot width.

These shoes fit very narrow...they fit my left foot well but not my right foot at all. It felt like the inner sole was digging into the arch of my foot. I tried two pairs and they both fit the same. Very odd. The return of both pairs was seamless though. I will just have to try my next pair on in person.

I love the cliftons but this last pair's heel is wearing out very quickly at maybe 100 miles. I wish Hola would use a more robust rubber on the soles.

Once I got my first pair of hokas I was sold. But I originally had the lunar rock color in the Clifton 7 and I'm disappointed that they don't carry a good neutral for someone who doesn't like a bold color shoe. I ended up getting the white in these and still feel like it's too much attention to my feet. Bring back the lunar rock or more neutral colors!!!! I do also feel like it's a tight snugger on the toe.

The color is beautiful it's comfortable,but my shin started hurting when I ran. I would probably get something with more support.

Clifton 8 is wider and not as smooth a ride as the Clifton 7

I absolutely loved the shoe. However mine must have been defective. The left shoe was slightly higher then the right. So I had to send them back.
