Over the years I have purchased over a dozen pair of Hokas, various models. (My spouse has too, so between us we've probably owned over 30 pair.) I wear not-wide for daily wear, but use wides for running. I wanted to switch from Bondi to Clifton, primarily for the forward roll, and just for a change since I've been running in Bondi for years. These Clifton 8 (size 8.5 wide) are not as wide as my very recent Bondi 8.5 wide. Very frustrating. I am keeping them for daily wear, but had to order men's Clifton 8 in size 7.5 EE, which are the width I have come to expect. Hoka has had issues with width complaints for years now. What is the problem?!?

When I wear the shoe it does not fit my arch, my back really hurts

Shoes did not have the durability I normally expect with HOKA. Foam support around ankles shows intense wear after only a few weeks.

I should have ordered 8.5 wide. Its too fit. Im still breaking it in. If i do size up to 9. Its too big.. Sole and comfort js good. But i have wide front foot. Is 8.5 wide avail? Color is good love the color. Sizing is off

I like the Hoka Bondi. These Clifton's felt too flat, and not as comfortable and supportive as the Bondi. The Bondi always seems to be low on inventory (out of stock) of color and size combinations. I thought these might suffice but they disappointed.

Compared to Clifton 5 and 6 which I LOVE, Clifton 8 has a lower profile overall such that my high arches are squished down and my toes are smashed down despite the shoe being more than long enough. The tongue is attached to the lower sides of the shoe and it is too tight! The overall depth of the heel is lower than Clifton 5 and 6 so that my heel wants to slide out when I use my own orthotics.

Runs big having a tough time keeping them on my foot- at the heel.

I'm a true size 8 medium. I typically wear an 8½ in athletic shoes as it's recommended to go up a half size in athletic shoes. These ran large as some others had stated; I was walking out of them. I'm returning to try an 8, so I can't review them much until I get the correct fit. However, I am highly allergic to fragrances and these had a strong odor like a deodorizer. I'm hoping that was just this particular pair for whatever reason. It's a shame Zappos won't list the measurements of shoes even when asked and to have to keep trying again, because I keep losing my points and have to pay full price now.

they seem to run a little large. I wear an 8 and prob could have gone with a 7.5. also, they are not as comfortable as I had hope. I loved the Clifton 7 and can’t seem to find a new pair of Hoka that fit the same.

The length was fine on this shoe but the toe box was too wide.

Fits true to size. The arxh support was way to high for my feet unfortunately.

Just took a walk in them for the first time, pretty comfortable, although for the money I would expect them to feel super comfortable. I need a little wider toe box which these have but too much room. Kinda clown shoe looking. I like my ghost brooks better.
