They are very supportive and comfortable, my only complaint is that they squeak really bad. They didn’t at first but soon after wearing them they started. I still wear them and I can’t say I don’t recommend them but it’s something to be aware of in case it’s a design issue.

The fit and style was very good. The big problem is that the right sneaker squeaks while walking. This appears to be a defect. I have not washed them or exposed them to moisture outside of normal wear.

Nice and lightweight. Ankle area is low cut, provides minimal support. Wide toe box.

The only thing I do not like about these shoes is that the tongue is sewn to the side and it will rub my foot sometimes.

I don't usually have to order wide width shoes, but looks like I will on these because after 2-3 months of hoping they'd break in at the inner side of my arch area, it didn't soften there the way I expected. Just too painful to wear for extended periods of time. Great cushioning though and still love Hoka.

I was looking to replace my go to pair of basic black athletic sneakers. These are simple and sleek and go with everything. My only reservations about the sneakers come down to two things. 1. They make a squeaking sound when you walk- not the outside sole but the inside liner. I decided to keep them hoping that sound goes away (a couple weeks in- it has not). 2. I wore these for a long walk the first day I got them with low cut socks and they destroyed the back of my ankles, so I had to buy new, higher cut socks to protect my ankles. Not a huge deal, but it is annoying to have to think about what socks you'll wear whenever you decide to use these sneakers.

I returned the exact pair because the decals were peeling off. Got another pair, and the same thing is happening.

I got my Hoka's a half size up and the fit comfortable normally I wear socks. This is my first pair, they feel so amazing on my feet and lots of cushion. I normally walk 15-20 miles per week my insole can hurt but with the Clifton 8 don't have that issue. I'm happy first time customer

This is my fourth pair of Hoka Clifton shoes. The others were wonderfully cushioned and were comfortable with the first wearing. This last pair is not as comfortable and does not seem to be as cushioned as previous ones. I am disappointed. The shoes are not consistently well made. The price is high, so I expect the shoes to be very well made.

I had trouble in getting the same shoe that a bought a year ago, because it is not available anymore. I went to Scheels to get me a new pair and they stopped making the brand I had. I tried on the newer version and it fit different and was not comfortable. I had to go to their website and buy the older version.

The fir of the shoes is fine, now that I have gone down a half size. However, whenever I put on the right shoe the neuroma under my toes zings. It continues to be painful until I walk for a few minutes, Very strange, and this does not happen with any other shoes I have, I am keeping this pair of Hokas, but will decide how I really like them before ordering another pair.

Very comfortable, and vibrant color. The only thing is i wish i would have purchased 1/2 size down. They are very roomy in the toes, i wear 7. I think 6.5 would have fit me a lot better. Other than that i love the clifton 8. Definitely be buying another pair of HOKA.

Having heard rave reviews about Hoka footwear, I ordered Clifton 8 online (on sale) to try. I was recovering from plantar faciitis and a knee injury which resulted in exploring new footwear altogether. Hoka's had been recommended by many friends and family. Unfortunately for me, they put too much pressure on the ball of my foot. They were great for back, heel, and knee, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't make them work for me. Great product, well made, durable, roomy toe box and I so wanted to love them! Thanks Hoka for your generous return policy. Perhaps I need a "cushier" style. I am 66 with very high arches/instep and wide feet.

I bought these a year ago. I have several foot and ankle issues and these were wonderfully comfortable. However, as I kept wearing them, the fabric on the toe box softened and collapsed and now these shoes look pitiful. I only wear them around the house or in the garden to work...if I am having a bad foot day I may wear them as a sort of recovery shoe.

Love the cushion and heel support. Does rub some at my arch - I feel like the inside of my foot overlaps the firmer material of the sole, and causes some irritation. May improve as the shoe breaks in, but currently not good for longer treadmill workouts.

I really like the shade of yellow. The toe box took a few days to get used to and now feels right for my feet. As a Physical Education teacher, I need all the support and comfort I can get.

My first time buying Hoka's started with the Clilfon 7. I loved them! I loved how they felt and the shape of them. The Clifton 8's feel way to round and big. Someone else said clown feet and I agree. Please bring back the other shape. It's making me want to try Brooks which was my next choice. Still very comfy though.

Just walked my first 5 miler and feel good so far.. I have a narrow heel so there is some looseness in the heel. I wonder if a 9.5 wide would work better.

I walk 50 miles/wk at a pretty good clip, so I change my shoes every 3 months. I've always worn the Bondi 7 and have had no knee, hip, or back pain with them, as I have with previous shoes. When the Bondi 7 was discontinued, I tried the Bondi 8 and wore them for 2 weeks before I had to stop wearing them because of the immense knee pain I had. The toe box in the Bondi 8's was also different as my big and 2nd toes were rubbing together and causing a blister. So I bought the Clifton 8, and while it's much better for me than the Bondi 8, and I've had no knee pain or toe rubbing or anything else with them, they are not as cushy as the Bondi. The bottoms of my heels were hurting at first, but that's gotten better as I've worn them. Please bring back the Bondi 7! They were the best shoe I have found for the amount of walking I do on mixed terrain.

I had foot surgery a year ago and Hokas are the only shoe that I feel comfortable walking in. The only downside is that they squeak really load when I walk.
