I'm not totally impressed with the lack of comfort in just wearing them. I feel like the toe box is way too big. Maybe if it came in a narrow.

Perfect for hiking Bay Area beach cliffs. Love the gortex. Love the color.
The toe box is too narrow and too low.

I bought a pair of these shoes for my wife for Christmas. She loves Hoka's and hiking, so it's a perfect marriage. I bought them in November to ensure they arrived in time for Christmas, which they did.
She opened them on the 25th, loved them, but wanted a different color. Easy enough right? Well, I went to exchange them and found they have a 30 day exchange policy. My wife said not to worry, but I hate that I didn't get her exactly what she wanted.

I am a health care professional. The feature I was MOST excited about was the Gor-tex and durability of the shoe. Unfortunately for me, the shoe was heavier than I desired, it was very hard like with compression socks and footies! The shoe runs small, I return d for a half size larger. The toe box is small. I could have gone up a whole size. I didn't want to go through the return process again and plus the shoe was not comfortable! The extra tongue in the back of the shoe rubbed against the back of my ankle as I walked. I LOVED the Gor-Tex and the sole of the shoe, very sturdy. My feet didn't get wet at all! In the Speed goat, my feet got damp if water got on my shoes from assisting with showers.

I really want to love these, but they are wider than the other Hoka's in regular. The toe box in particular is wider. I will still wear them but I don't like them as much as I wanted too.

I didn't even try them on. When I saw how far the heel protrudes, I knew I'd fall the first time I tried to go down a step. I have big feet, and they are problem enough.

Zappos suggested ordering a half size up but these were huge. I own a pair of Hokas already and they look and feel great. These did not so I returned them.

I'm a mail carrier so I put some a lot of miles on shoes. My only issue with this shoe is my pinky toe is smashed up against the side of the shoe. It's very uncomfortable after a few hours of walking. I have the Anacapa mid gtx which I love they have more room in the toe area.

I have four pair of Hokas - 2 Bondi, Ahari and Rincon. All fit well. These were narrow with little cushion at all. Felt I was putting a cardboard box on my foot rather than the wonderfully comfy Hokas I'm used to.

Main use for hiking, was planning on using with microspikes for uphill snow climbing, but not a great fit for my feet. Felt tight at first and took a long time to break in and once broken in felt too big/loose with heal blisters forming.

This isn't a sneaker what so EVER!! I ordered my usual size and it seem a bit large. I'm thinking I should've gone narrow, which I've NEVER DONE IN ANY SHOE. After walking in this shoe about 8hrs on/off all day long,my lower half was a bit ache. I'm not sure if going narrow if available would've helped. Hoka sneakers are AMAZING!! This one seems wide and slightly longer that then should be.

I ended up returning the shoes because they were just too darn heavy and rather clumsy feeling. I love HOKA Clifton for my working and regular running shoes. I was hesitant when I saw the weight, and I was right. I started training for Spartan OCR and need stability, grip and mobility. This just didn't work me.

The shoes were very rugged and extremely comfortable. However, I wore them on 3 hikes and each time I got blisters on my heels. I suspect it was the reinforced stitching in the heel of the shoe. I was sad to have to return them.

After wearing Hoka Bondi'sfor a couple months and loving them, I wanted to find a Hoka model that was good for supinators but warmer in winter than the Bondis. I paid a lot more for this shoe due to the Gore-Tex material, but they were seriously disappointing. The sole didn't feel anything like the Bondi...much less supportiveand not as comfortable. Therefore, I purchased another pair of Bondis and the platform/inner sole, while acceptable, doesn't feel or look the same as my first pair either. Is this another example of "shrink-flation?" I'm so tired of finding a great product, only to have the manufacturer cheapen it up after it gets a good reputation. I hope that's not what's happening with the Hokas.

I wanted to love these, but I don't. I have a pair of Clifton 8's, size 10 wide, that I absolutely love! They have been so good for my bone spurs! I've always worn Keens for hiking, but with my bone spurs, they don't work anymore. I was encouraged by all the reviews about the wide toe box on the Anacapa's. But not for my feet! The toe box is very tight across the base of my toes. And just walking downhill on my street, my toes were hitting the front of the shoe. I love the color (elderberry/wine), and they were waterproof against a rain soaked lawn. But I couldn't try them on a real hike, as they were just to painful for my feet. I wish you offered your waterproof hiking shoes/boots in wide width! If you have normal to narrow feet, these will work for you.

I'm a server and I work long 15 hour days. I was hoping these shoes would be amazing. I wouldn't go that far and don't know that I would reorder. They are not slip proof and as far as comfort goes...they don't hurt my feet. Fifteen hours is hard on any shoe. I was looking for a little more comfort and happy feet for tge price.

I don't understand why there weren't more reviews indicating that these run small/short. i wear a 9 in most every shoe i buy. with this one, my toe was pressed against the edge as soon as i put them on. there's no way i could walk around the corner comfortably in these.

The shoe is comfortable but I was very disappointed to see black threads hanging off within a month of owning them. I don't even wear them every day. The shoe is not black so to see the black threads sticking out when there is no other black on the she looks tacky. I expected more for the price.

I really love most of my Hoka shoes! I ave many pair!
I live in two different environments! Urban and mountainous!
For urban walking Hokas are just wonderful!
For mountainous terrain they work well!
My problem is trying to find a Hoka shoe that is wide enough, and is waterproof! My speed goats wok, but if there is tall wet anything it feels like my feet are getting wet and I feel the the wet and cold on my feet! My feet don't actually get wet due to the lining Gortex? Not sure! But! Not good for hiking on my local trails! Also te heel pull is kind of weird? I'm not sure why it was designed as a separate pull? The pull tends to fold down into the shoe if I'm my actually holding on to it!
I haven't ad a chance to use these shoes in the rain or on a wet tail yet! I have worn them though, they are just slightly to narrow! I am 5 ft tall, but have wide feet! So, I will not use these shoes on longer day hikes! My go to shoes a still, Keens tangerine II & III!
I'm thinking this is not the market target for Hoka!
I'm still more than happy with the Hokas I have! Bondi is my favorite ones so fear! Thank you for asking!

These felt so good on my feet. The first pair I ordered in my usual size. They were too short and too narrow. I reordered 1/2 size bigger. They fit great and the support feels good. But, now the gusseted tongue is rubbing blisters on both feet. So, I'll have to return this pair too. Ugh! I may try the Challenger instead. I love my Clifton's. But, I wanted something waterproof for my early morning walks in my wet yard.

I really wanted to love these! I have ordered other Hoka styles and a 10 1/2 has always fit, but these were short and hit against my big toe, but also very wide. A boxy fit. So if you have a wide foot, and you order up a half size, they should work for you. They also did not fit my arch. Love the look of them though!

Too small. Needed a full size larger than my Hoka Clifton running shoes.
