I agree with another reviewer, the bizarre extra heel pad just does not work. For one, it is narrow and does not stay in place very well. On the right shoe, the pad had been smashed and maintained an odd bend to it so it did not fit regardless. Why not just bulk up the heel area instead of adding this weirdo pad Hoka? I really wonder how some designs pass muster. The shoe itself is comfy but the heel feels a bit bulky in length. The heel sticks out of the back of the shoe and I feel like these would be great on a kids bike to place the heel down to come to a sliding stop. Back they go.

I'm so disappointed. I love these but the reviews said they're true to size and they're not. They run small. I wanted to exchange and I got such a great price on them. The exchange isn't equal and I'd have to pay around $50-$60 more for the 1/2 size up. Darn. Too rich for my blood :(

These weren't offered in wide, but I took a chance and tried them anyway since they were on sale. Unfortunately I really need the wide width so I'll have to return them. Lesson learned.

At least a half size too short. GREAT shoe but just a tad tight in the toe box.

I bought sz 10 1/2: too big. Returned them for a 10- too narrow in forefoot. Sadly I give up. Wanted Hoka hiking
shoes because I love the Hoka running shoes and trail shoes I have.

There was a weird pink attachment at back of heel… I am sure it served some sort of purpose, but I found it very irritating and am sure that I would have got a blister from it.

Like others said, sizing feels off. I got the 8.5 which is my normal size. It felt like they were long enough but somehow the toe space was too small such that my big toe was rubbing too much against the top of the shoe. I sized up to 9 which now feels a little too long but Im going to keep them since I think they would work with thick socks in the winter. Overall not too happy with the cushioning or arch support either. Might be that the size is just not perfect but all around this is not the most comfortable shoe. For reference I also own the Bondi 8 which is sooo much more comfortable and cushioned and the sizing is normal.
SUCH a shame since the exterior of these shoes is gorgeous. Home should redesign the interior.

The fit on this shoe felt true to size. However, where the tongue was sewn into the shoe rubbed on my foot and quickly started making a sore spot, within minutes of putting the shoe on. I will be returning.

My foot got blisters just from an easy flat ground walk, my foot was pinched in some areas between the insole and shoe itself. I was really hoping these would be comfortable since they're Hoka's. They were really great with the waterproof feature and didn't get much mud stuck on the bottom either. If the insole had a better fit to the shoe, they would be great.

I bought these shoes to wear hiking in Ireland because I wanted waterproof hikers. While they fit the bill, they are nowhere near as comfortable as the sneakers. The toe box is very stiff, and they aren't as padded, so the balls of my feet got a little sore.

To me, these shoes are just ok. They are hard and stiff, kinda hurts my arch. Can only wear them for a short time. Will not purchase again.

Shoes feel heavy and hot. Not much airflow so feet get sweaty quickly. The first time I wore them was on a 5 mile hike and I got blisters on the inside of my ankles (odd place) despite wearing thick socks. I would not purchase this edition again.

These shoes are fantastic but the toe box - especially on the left side was too narrow (not everan issue) and pressing my toes together. I really wanted to keep them if they had been wide enough! So comfortable- like heaven to walk on except or the narrow toe box....

With the GOR-TEX lining this shoe fit about 1/2 size too small. I expect a larger shoe will fit well and offer the good HOKA fit and comfort.

This is a nice looking and very well made shoe, but it just wasn't right for my feet. It was too narrow for my foot and the material was stiff and rather uncomfortable. I ended up returning these and going with the Gaviota 4, same size and width. It was perfect right out of the box.

Seems to run a bit big. Good quality, but seeing it in person it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Great colors.

I am so sad they don't have wide options for these shoes! I LOVED everything about it- the color, the sole, the look, but it was unfortunately too tight around my foot. I don't even normally need to go for wide sizes- but with HOKA that has been the case. So disappointed as I was looking forward to it being my new go-to pair! If you have narrow feet this is the shoe for you but if not, avoid it:(

I purchased this for a hiking shoe. It was very comfortable and seemed like it would be great for this purpose however the sizing was too small (too short). I have other Hoka sneakers size 9, which fit well and provide a little room. However a 9 in this had hunt toes touching the front which isn't good for hiking. As a side note I had also purchased the Kaha 2 size 9 to try, and they fit great. As a comparison between the two, I found the Kaha 2s to be a little chunkier of the two styles.

I *LOVE* my Hoka hiking boots. I was so excited to try these Anacapa Low shoes. They're a great, vivid purple. They're cute for their category. They're nice and cushiony. The length and width seem right. But... My problem with the shoes is that the lateral sides of the insoles seem to be raised, such that they push me into over-pronating (the opposite of the arch support/pronation correction I was looking for). This was also an issue, though to a lesser extent, with another pair of Hoka shoes that I recently tried. I'm so disappointed, but they just aren't functional for me. Someone with a very high arch might love them, though.

Pros: waterproof, grip on ice and snow and comfortable for my plantar fasciitis.
Cons: sole is not even on bottom, can't plant heal correctly when going downstairs because of heal flair, higher sole difficult with bad knees going down stairs.

I purchased a size up since wider width was not available. It was very narrow. Lengthwise, both feet were about 3/4 inches too short. I do like other shoes, so I do wish wider hikers were available. These are too narrow overall unless going to a wider width.
