These were too long and narrow. They made my feet look huge. The cushioning on the bottom was great!

I have two other pair of Hoka shoes that pit perfectly, so I ordered these in the same size, but they are too big. Sadly they're going back for a smaller size. Giving them four stars because the style and comfort seemed ok, they just weren't true to size.

fit is nice and lightweight, like the look too. there's one problem with the shoe tongue, the edge/seam tends to rub against the feet thus, creating blister :(

I will be using this hiking shoe for a trip. It is lightweight and I wanted the waterproof quality.
It is a narrow shoe. I wear the Bondi which is wider. I wish there was a wider option. I had to go up a half size to fit in the toe area.

I love the way these look and wanted something that looked like it was in the brown family. My feet are too narrow to try any of the all gender shoes. Would love this color in the regular Bondi. I have six pairs of Hoka! They are all I can wear so I have them in every color Just need a brown! I'm afraid if I order these in a size 8, they will be too long Still considering doing that so I have more room at the toes.

Good walking shoes for warm weather. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the shoes are a little wide for my feet. I have fairly narrow feet. However, they work.

I have worn these while on walking tours on vacation and they are mostly comfortable and beautiful. They feel very durable and sturdy. I think they could use a little more flexibility which is why I think they need a little more break in time. They haven't given me any blisters, just a little sore feet after several hours. I do have a wide foot which may be the issue. I still love then and will continue to wear them.

I was excited about these boots but the fit is not for me. I ordered up a 1/2 size due to other reviews. They were a little long for me, but my main issue was that they were too wide. If I tighten the laces all the way, the fit feels better, but the top fabric on the shoe bunches up some, - it is clearly not how the shoe is supposed to be worn. I do have a narrow foot, but Hoka Clifton fits great. Back to looking for another cushioned waterproof shoe.

These ran a little narrow and tight on the toe. Ending up keeping the Speedgoat GTX.

Great for walking/ hiking. Bought to bring to Ireland, but the toebox is a little tight, so I didn't trust they would work out for long distance.

Most hiking shoes are too wide in the toe box for me. The Anacapa's fit well and have lots of cushion. No hiking yet but I'm excited for the future.

I like the Vibram sole. Shoes are very comfy but the tongue bunches up at times and the pull tab at the heel is oddly padded and moves too much making slip on difficult. My 3rd pair of Hokas so I like the brand, we'll see how these work out.

Was hoping for a more substantial leather hiker. Comfy shoe but the "non" leather part of shoe wrinkles and looks cheap.

I really, really wanted to like these. They are light weight, durable and with gortex lining. They look great. Unfortunately the toe box is more rigid than other Hokas I have been wearing for the past year (Arahi 4 and Hupana Flow Wool) and my big toe felt constrained. It wasn't exactly the length but the toe box seemed a tad low and the toe pressed on it. Fortunately, the Hoka Speedgoat Mid 2 GTX has ample room in the toe box so I'm keeping those and returning the Anacapa Low.

If you often have trouble with your narrow heels slipping, you will love this shoe. That odd tab in the back actually works! At the same time there is a decent (not fantastic, but decent) amount of toe room. The middle part of the shoe is perfect for my low volume foot, and the multiple eyelets at the top allow for creative lacing options that enhance the support. The extension of the sole at the back of the shoe may look a little odd, but actually feels quite stable. I had to size up a full size from my normal shoe size, and a half size larger than my usual athletic shoe/thicker socks size. That, combined with the back extension, makes my foot look much longer than I'm used to, but I guess I don't care because these shoes are so comfortable.

I've never worn this brand and took the advise of reviewers to order half size up, they were too big so sent back.

Very comfortable shoes, I love the style but fit some odd reason it makes my feet look longer, bigger…weird!
But they are VERY comfortable and true to size.

I work events where I am on my feet for hours and hours, and I think these are going to be just the thing. They are super soft to walk in, lots of cushioning, and the arch support is good but not too much. They are not gorgeous to look at but they're what I need for this purpose.

These where a little big, but that was okay because it accommodates thick socks and orthotics. What i didn't like is that they are not as stiff as I would have liked, where the toes bend they creased and looked collapsed and I didn't like the way that looked. Wasn't crazy about the color either, but even though i love Hokas, the one area they lack in is their ever changing color schemes, when i find a color i like, they discontinue it so I can never get the same style in the same color a year down the road. But i don't necessarily allow that to keep me from buying them because i do like how they fit my feet..

I loved these shoes - absolute favorite hiking shoe for almost 2 years then the support totally collapsed in the left shoe. It may be that the sugarcane midsole deteriorated over time??? I wore these for walking and some rigorous hikes but never more than 5 miles at a time and not weekly even. I have owned many other high-end brands over the years and none have ever worn out as fast. So for the money, I probably won't be investing in another pair.

TL;DR These were pretty expensive shoes for a mediocre performance.
I've worn these shoes through Zion, the Grand Canyon, Acadia, Shenandoah, and countless other amazing parks of all different types of terrain. CONS: the laces / tongue of the shoe have caused bruised ankles and disappointment, unprotected toe box has lead to stubbed toes / black nails when rock scrambling, poor ankle support. PROS: love the look, they are fairly waterproof and are generally easy to clean, ergonomic enough to keep me going for 12+miles with minimal foot fatigue, good grip on dry rocks

The fit of this shoe was ok, altho not roomy in the toe box which is what I normally like about Hokas. But the left shoe seemed to veer me to pronation and the flex just was not at all comfortable. I liked the color & look & the gortex water protection, but I can't see spending hiking/walking days in a row in these shoes - which is what I need.
I'd also recommend:
