Clifton 8 fits me well but this Anacapa boot is too wide for me so will be making a return. The material over the toe bed bunches and gaps when I tighten the laces to fit me. So disappointed as the reviews of this boot were good.

The tongue of the shoe is sewn shut, so if you have a high arch you can't get your foot in without possibly ripping the fabric. Cute too... it was disappointing. If you don't have a high arch I think they might work for you.

The tung is not wide enough and allows the side buckle to rub my ankle. I'm hoping that I can correct the issue with a thicker sock. Because I love everything else about the shoes!!!!!

Wow - so ridiculously narrow. The whole side of the shoe goes in a straight line from the heel to the front to the shoe on the inside of the foot. Who has a foot shaped like that? Maybe a mannequin?

I was hoping to use them for hiking. I have very wide feet and my other pair of HOKAs seemed wider..

They fit ok But I feel the rocks through the bottom. They came untied and I twisted my ankle. I was hoping for the cushion like the running shoes have. I have always loved HOKA but I paid more for these hiking boots than any other shoe I've ever owned and I am disappointed in them. My toes hurt and my ankles hurt after a 6 mile moderate hike.

I used it once to test if the shoes is great for hiking. Its waterproof, I hiked 7 miles. I had blister after the hike and its too narrow on my feet to think its 1 size bigger.

My wife has, let's just say 'weak' feet. Her Podiatrist mentioned 'Hoka' shoes but I flinched when I first saw the prices compared to what I wanted to pay. At a later visit the Doctor re-recommended Hoka and said that she needed the kind of support AND flexibilty those shoes provide. Soon after, her and I sat down and looked at the Hoka website to see what we were getting into. 2 pairs of walking shoes and 2 pairs of hiking Boots later she is so much more comfortable and we spend less time at the Dr.'s office.

The shoe was absolutely beautiful, very comfortable in the foot bed, but with the hook lace up, the grommets were drilling into my ankle bones, as there was not enough padding at the top of the shelf impossible to wear. I ordered them half a size bigger to put an additional insert.

Although I love how light these trail boots are and the trail grip they provide - the design is flawed. The inside seam on both inner ankles is stiff, hurts and causes sores when laced to the top. The low cut back design lets leaves and dirt get into the shoe. I tried rearranging the tongue, wearing thicker socks helps a little but shouldn't really be necessary with a high priced boot like this.

I purchased them for an upcoming trip to the desert. I wanted to get them broke in before I went. They are very comfortable. Great grip on on all surfaces, even ice. Not very warm if you are wanting to do winter hikes.

Theses shoes do not make my legs hurt and they have been working great. I really hate to spend money like this but when you hit a certain age comfort is the way to go. Also wish there was a way to do tax exempt other than going through the step, like having it on file.

The boots were uncomfortable and narrow. It's the first pair of Hokas that I've purchased that were not comfortablewhich was disappointing. Luckily HOKA has a 30 day return policy and I was easily able to return and get a refund for my boots. I will have to try another pair of HOKA hiking boots because I really do like to wear them.

These boots are so comfortable! I am determined to continue walking every day - and these boots help make that happen. They feel like they were made especially for me. I love them!

This was clearly a well-made boot but, although the length and width were fine, the instep was way too tight. Also, the extension of the rubber sole behind the heel caught on stairs, and made me worry that I would slip and fall. Had to send them back.

The color is very different than pictured. The shoe is much more beige, less caramel warmth.

I have issues with my foot (post tibular tendinitis ) and thought I would not be able to hike on a visit to Colorado. I bought these shoes and my foot never felt better! I was so surprised! Very comfortable and supportive - for me these are a game changer! I was able to do all of the hikes I wanted to!

I've worn Hoka for years. However this hiking shoe is very narrow. It's very bad on the knees coming Down the mountain. Otherwise received lots of compliments on the stylish color. Color: DESERT SUN / GOLDEN YELLOW

My FEET felt great in the shoes, however after about 4 miles my ankles hurt horribly! There is something inside that rubbed on my ankles. I had to untie them and retie much lower to get back to basecamp. I was sad because I LOVE hoka!
