I bought these for my 8 year old son. He has very wide feet and they fit him great with normal socks. He wears a 4 in sneakers and I ordered a 5 to give him a little extra room and with the hope that he'd be able to wear them longer. They are a great boot.

this is my first pair of these boots but so far they are great.they are extremely comfortable,the leather is soft not stiff in any way,and they are surprisingly warm(i bought the regular unlinined or without any kind of gortex or sheerling on the inside).my only mistake was not sizing down from the get go they do run a little big but other than that i'd say get yourself a pair.

My husband has been a long-time wearer of his LLBean boots and now both my boys are loving theirs! I'm looking forward to theirs lasting as long as my husband's did - 30 years!!!

My son put these on and immediately fell in love with them!! He wears a 4 and we got the size 4 boots. They fit well. He thought they were the most comfortable shoes/boots he had ever worn in his life!! He wanted to wear them to bed! Seriously!! Now I just have to lace them so he can wear them on the cold, rainy days. :)

I ordered my normal size-love it. Bought my son a pair too. Highly recommend. Sure this won't be our last pair. Very comfortable.

I have had the same pair of Bean Boots for YEARS. My 4 year old talks about them all the time and how when he grows up he will get a pair of Bean Boots. I noticed they have them in kids sizes and ordered him a pair. He could not believe he had a pair. They have made some improvements in the fit and finish since I bought mine, he now has a "better" pair of Bean Boots than his Dad!

The boot is very well made, however not a warm"winter" boot for North East winters.

It's a great product and should last a lifetime or even two. Only issue is that I bought them for my wife who has small feet so I had to purchase a child's size, which was fine, except there is only one style option and it wasn't exactly what she desired. So my suggestion is to extend some the liner options and styles into the children's sizes

my granddaughter loved her boots The "in thing" to wear with her friends. 6 (her size) ran too large Size 5 was perfect.

This is a rainy day and winter staple! I had bought the brown ones years ago and they were very comfortable right out the box. These ones chafed and rubbed right above both my inner ankle bones even while wearing socks. I'm really hoping they'd break in over time. Sizing runs large - I ordered a 4 and wear a 5.5 in most brands. The 4 still allows for room for thicker socks, but my feet don't slip around.

I love bean boots and have been wearing them myself for over 30 years. (so, four pairs or so...) Naturally, I was excited to see that my daughter was finally a size 2 and could start wearing them too! Sadly, the leather was way too stiff to tighten them comfortably on her feet. (Specifically, at the bottom of the laces, right above the rubber. It was very lumpy and stiff.) I was also disappointed in the insulation- only the rubber bottoms have thinsulate, the leather upper does not. I returned them today and ordered her another pair of Bean's Northwoods boots. I will try again when her feet are bigger. I read through many reviews before purchase, all of them were from adult women buying the kids size, to save a few bucks. I think these boots would be fine for that purpose.

I love my new bean boots. I am so happy I got them! My regular shoe size is a 6 in women and I bought the 4 kids. It is still a bit big. It will work for the winter since I can wear heavy socks. I will have to see in the spring time how it goes!

So far these boots are super comfy, it's rare that I can wear a pair of shoes without breaking them in. The size was a tad big, I wear a size 5.5-6 womens and size 4 was huge. The quality seemed ok when it arrived, some parts of the thread was long and dangling so I cut them and so far so good. So excited to use them for cold winter days

Would much prefer the slip on version as it is easier to get in and out of when busy. Hint: Bring back slip ons.

this boots are so comfortable, though they have lots of holes!

based on some of the other reviews, i ordered 2 sizes down and the boot was still loose fitting. despite that, the cushioning in the footbed makes the boot feel comfortable, if somewhat large. the product description led me to believe the whole boot was lined, and i was quite surprised to see the raw leather on the top. even a simple canvas or flannel lining would be helpful to keep the leather from staining socks. also, the nap of the leather has a way of pulling my socks down into my boot, even socks that normally stay up in other boots, which is annoying. as others mentioned, it would be nice if the laces were a tad longer, as they often come unlaced when loosening the boot to put on and off. would also be nice to have choice of color - black, blue and/or red, especially for kids, who aren't always keen on brown. while not perfect, i decided to live with them since i was desperately in need of some waterproof footwear.

I love these boots and so does my 9-year old son. They are a nice change from the clunky winter boots.

helpful reading previous reviews. Skeptical at first of ordering 2 sizes smaller than shoe size, but previous reveiws indicated that was the norm and glad we did, the boots fit perfectly. No additional time needed exchanging sizes.

I ordered a pair of this boots, size 6, for my daughter, who usually wears size 6 1/2, but they were huge (it fits a size 8 1/2)!!! We returned them, and got a size 4, which is perfect. She says they are very comfortable.

These boots never go out of style however I did have to remove the insert as it really was not comfortable. Looking forward to wearing these though.
