I am a women's size 6 or 6.5 and ordered a size 4. I was afraid that they weren't going to fit but once I tried them on they fit perfect! These boots are sturdy and are comfortable.

I am normally a 7.5 or 8 in women's shoes, and a 6 or 6.5 in kids. I went to the store today to try these on and ended up with the 5 and it even feels almost a half size big but I plan on wearing with thick socks in the winter so this shouldn't be a problem. The leather is very stiff at first but the associate told me that it will soften when you wear it. Also the insoles in these boots are removable and they sell other ones you can purchase. I am glad I went with the kids size and saved some money, seriously if you wear women's sizes, just order 3 whole sizes down from your normal women's size shoe. I haven't worn these yet but have heard many good things. We usually get a few bad snow storms every year where I live and am excited to actually own a waterproof boot that won't get ruined when I wear them in 5-6 inches of snow. I also plan on wearing them when it rains during the fall and winter (it does a lot here). The only complaint I have about these so far is the odd sizing, so if you have the chance, try these on in the store, otherwise order a whole size down or 1.5 sizes down if you are a half size.

I am a 6 or 6.5 in women's and bought the Kids 5 but felt it was a little too large and I had to wear two pairs of my thickest socks. I'm so glad I switched to the Kids 4. It feels much better.

I am a junior in college that often needs to buy kids shoes due to my small feet. After much consideration, review reading, and research, I decided on size 5. They looked huge when I got them out of the box, but once my feet were inside it fit like a glove! There is just enough room to wear my Cotton Rag Bean socks (which are pretty thick) super comfortably, but they also fit SO well with thin socks for warmer/rainier weather... I am genuinely surprised how well they fit with both socks! I do admit the tongue, which is attached to the boot to keep water/snow out, feels a little odd and tough, but I think it should soften after I wear it out more. Overall, a fantastic must have for anyone that lives in rainy, cold, and snowy weather that would love to have a staple they could match with anything while also staying cute, dry, and warm! For size comparisons: I am a 5.5 in Converse and 36 in Birkenstocks. I usually buy sneakers and sandals in the Womens 6-6.5 range.

I originally ordered a ladies 6 but they were too big. I am a true ladies 6 in footwear. After ordering a kids size 5, and 4, which both were still too big. Later found out that these are the same as ladies 7 and 6. I ordered a kids 3. Fit beautifully and very comfortable from day 1. With all my different orders, it did take a while to finally get my boots, but it was well worth the wait. I would recommend these boots. Just be careful in ordering the correct size.

After wanting these boots for years I finally bought them and couldn't be happier with them. I wear a ladies size 6. It was a little challenging finding my right size. I first ordered the ladies boots but they were way too big so I decided to try the kids size 5 and they fit perfectly. They are made wonderfully! I know I will get a lot of use out of them come this fall and winter. Can't wait to start wearing them! Thank you!

I was sad that I was unable to purchase the women's LL Bean boots due to my smaller sized foot. I wear a size 5 and since the adult boots fit a whole size larger, I was unable to purchase a pair. After some research, I found out that a children's size 3 was the same size as a women's 5. I purchased the boots immediately. They finally came and I could not be any more excited! The boots fit perfectly! They are not too tight, so I am able to put a thicker sock on under it.

I am a college student but my feet were too small for the women's sizes. I ordered a size 5 in Kids and I normally wear a size 6.5 in women's. These shoes are SUPER sturdy and they are definitely going to come in handy for the upcoming New England Winter. They fit my feet very well, I can wear a nice thick pair of wool/fuzzy socks comfortably with them (which is a huge plus because I think they wouldn't keep my feet warm otherwise). My only catch with the kids boots is that they are a little taller than I wanted them to be and they only come in tan, other than that though I am super excited to start wearing these. Plus my expected shipping date was sometime in April but they arrived at my door in the first week of January. Thanks L.L. Bean!

Comfortable, waterproof, lightweight, and warm.....I've worn similar boots from other companies in the past. These Bean boots far surpass them in comfort and weight....they look heavy but they are very light, comfortable, and surprisingly warm.

Bought these for my college age daughter (whose shoe size is too small for the adult boots) and she loves them! Too many times, kids sizes don't look/feel right & they just look like kids' shoes, but not these. She actually feels like she's wearing adult shoes.

My daughter loves her boots. She was so excited to get them. They do run a little big and are extremely comfortable. We were looking for a shoe that would be good for wintery mix weather. They have been great and she has made them stylish too with boot socks Boots are made well and will hold up. I have recommended these boots to other moms.

I ordered size 2 to my daughter, it is too small for her when she puts on her thick sock, so I returned it. I back-ordered size 3 for her and wait for its delivery in June/ July. The bean boot is made in very good material and I believe it is great gift to her when she studies in New Jersey. We both love the bean boots

My daughter loves these boots and has worn them almost everyday since she got them. They are sturdy, but obviously comfortable enough to keep on all the time. She likes the style- and she is a city-kid- wears them to school. We bought them for winter water-proof season, but she will clearly be happy wearing them stomping around in the woods later this spring. We will definitely get another pair when she outgrows them. Worth the price.

The boots are of excellent quality and workmanship. My daughter used to wear LLB storm chaser boots, but since they've been discontinued, I haven't been able to find a worthy replacement for our coastal climate. I just bought her a pair of these boots in the smallest size offered, and although they are a few sizes bigger than my daughter's feet, they still fit her well. I was pleasantly surprised that unlike gum boots, these are lightly insulated in the foot and the foot bed, so her feet won't freeze when it's wet and cold outside.

It's tough to get your kids to wear weather appropriate clothing in the first place, and my son (9 y.o.) is too old for puddle boots. These are a great option for him, as his dad has a pair, too. They definitely keep his feet dry, and at his activity level, the laces are great, so you can really cinch them down. (He's run himself right out of puddle boots in years past.) Really well made - I'm sure we'll be able to hand these down to the next boy in our family. Thanks LLBean for an option that's age appropriate.

We got these in December when it had just started to snow in our city. They were true to size, thanks to some great sizing help from Bean's online and phone staff. These boots have kept my daughter's feet warm and dry for months now (-10 to -15 temperatures), never once leaked and never wore out (and believe me, she wore them every day for four months) and still look wonderful. I'm contemplating handing them down to my youngest child when he gets older. Great job Bean, the reputation these boots have earned is well-deserved.

These Boots are great..My Son loved them out of the box and that's a rarity.I ordered him 1 size bigger than his foot size but they still fit rather well with a thicker sock..and I am also proud of the fact I was able to put something that was made in the USA on his feet!
