I ordered my bean boots 5 years ago and they still look amazing!! The only problem was that after 5 years the sole started to get worn, so I called the company and sent them back to get the sole replaced for a great price and now they look brand new again!! Highly recommend bean boots and shopping with L.L. Bean!

I love these boots. The look never goes out of style and the quality is superb. I use them in the spring and fall for lots of outdoor activities. I have owned these boots for years but had to purchase a second pair as my college age daughter decided she loved mine as much as me!!! :)

Leather is initially stiff and I'm looking forward to post-break-in period. Keep my feet dry and comfy on muddy trails.

Ordered 6 inch and 8 inch, but found the shorter height more suitable for me since I do not have to deal with snow or mud.

A necessity in New England, my wife wears these throughout Fall, Winter, and Spring. They're a classic and go great with almost any outfit. She loves her Bean Boots.

These 8" Bean Boots are the most comfortable I've ever worn.

Took these boots back and traded them for 6" boots. There was nothing wrong with the 8", she just didn't care for them being that high. She loves the 6" high boots that she now has. There was no problem making the trade and my wife is now happy.

This is my second pair of the classic Bean Boots. Where to start? The quality of this boot is amazing. I wore my last pair 6 winters in a row. I will say, in heavy snow, a little water would come in after maybe three or four years, but I was never trekking in snow. So these are a great boot relatively long term for maybe everything besides hiking Mount Everest haha. I love that I can wear these on a very cold snowy day with thick socks and they aren't too snug and my feet are warm and dry. Or on just a cool day I can wear them with thinner socks and they still fit great and you aren't too hot. The temp control in these things are great. And they're so comfortable. I have a neutral arch and my toes don't rub or feel cramped and plenty of room (but not too much) on top. I can wear these all day with no issues. I also can dress these different ways. With a hoodie/coat or a nicer long sleeve sweater and it looks great either way. I wear these boots almost everyday in the winter. Lastly, the traction is good. We have a lot of ice everywhere right now. I almost slipped in my sneakers coming out of my door the other day, but the next day I wore my boots and I noticed how I didn't slide on the ice like in my tennis shoes. I got this second pair as a Christmas gift from my husband. I almost felt lame asking for the EXACT same boot that I had before. Almost.

There's a reason these boots have been around for so long! Well made, waterproof, comfortable. The tongue is attached (but loose enough to get your foot in easily) so the snow doesn't fall into the boot easily.

They're everything I wanted them to be. Could be warmer and could be more comfortable (for lots of time spent on one's feet), but there are other models that offer those features. They are fully functional without frills.

These are nice and look good.I normally wear an 8.5 in sneakers. I tried on size 8 at the store, which was too large in this "unlined" version. I bought a size 7 in these instead, which surprisingly fit my med-to-narrow foot very well, even with mid-weight boot length socks. If you have a wide foot, you may need to get the 7 W or 8 M. There is no added cushioning/bulk in these to take up space inside. The leather on these boots needs "breaking in", to soften up before long walks. I did this by bending the leather back and forth and sort of pinching the tongue portion flat (over and over again) to get rid of that overlap crease where it attaches inside near the ankle. Otherwise that extra bulk of leather inside will pinch your ankle. Lots of bending will soften them. These unlined boots aren't very warm, so I will wear good socks in winter months. If you want warmth for the winter time ... go with a different version and try on with the socks you plan to wear. I recommend trying on any of these boots for the right fit. What can I say? It's another lovely Bean Boot, incredible quality and tough as nails. I work with horses on a thoroughbred farm in KY and these babies can make it though warm weather, cold weather, mud, ice, snow, and rain, mucking stalls, getting stepped on by horses, and still clean up to where they look like they're new. They're also incredibly comfortable, easy to break in, and run true to size. Love that you can get them resoled too as when you wear boots 12-14 hours a day after a couple years you need new bottoms, but even my older pairs have never had any issues with the upper leather section or the rubber section below. Bean Boots are the best, you should definitely get them !

They are great boots. Well made and fit great. They are surprisingly warm if you leave enough room to wear some large socks with them. Comfortable for walking long distances in too.

Warm, waterproof, comfy. The perfect boot, to my mind!
