I'm going into my 6th year with these boots and they're still in great condition. I bought them for my first "real winter" after moving from Texas to Indiana, and later used them while living in Colorado. Since then they've seen snow, mud, and rain. I've worn them sledding, to corn mazes, outdoor concerts, and for light trail hiking. They're true to size with a small allowance for thick socks. I have a wide foot and my usual size is 7 1/2. I have these in the 7 which fits well. If you're on the fence about these boots, just get them. You won't regret it.

If you have high arches they are a tad hard to get on. A shoehorn helps as well as the back loop. They are super cute and very comfortable!

They are very comfortable, fit perfectly and are excellent for the rainy weather.

Been a size 10 for everything... ordered a size 9 terrified it would be too small. Fits so perfect! Perfect for wearing outside in muddy grass taking my dog to the park. No regrets. Wanted a boot that will last too.

Suede upper is more comfortable than the traditional stiffer smooth leather upper. Love the unique color combo. This is my second pair of the lace up above ankle LL Bean rubber and leather boots. Original pair I used for every thing including gardening and traveling outside on snowy and rainy days. Gardening converted the original boots into gardening only boots and these new ones are for all other occasions. Found these at a great sale price when visiting LL BEAN Store in North Bethesda, Maryland. Love that this style Maine boot with above ankle height prevents gardening debris from going into the rubber boot better than the traditional short top Maine Moc.

My Bean Boots are amazing! I had these boots 30 years ago but forgot how durable and comfortable they are. I used to buy cheaper rain boots but decided to invest in these and I'm extremely satisfied with the quality.

I'm a letter carrier and bought these boots for work. I walk 9 miles every day and these are perfectly comfortable all day long and were comfortable straight out of the box, the leather did not need to be broken in at all. I normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9 (40 in euro size) and with these in a size 9 I have a full thumb width of space in the toe. Also, I normally have to buy wide (D width) shoes and boots, but these fit my feet perfectly in the medium (B width), with plenty of room for extra thick wool socks, or even two pair of socks for really cold weather. I feel sure footed with these boots, no slipping or sliding in wet grass (of course any footwear will slip on ice) and my feet stay perfectly warm and dry. Absolutely love these boots and would recommend them to anyone who needs a solid pair of comfortable rain boots.

Such comfortable boots. Perfect for long walks without having to break in first. I purchased a 1/2 size smaller so I can wear them with semi thick socks.

Bean boots have always been a staple for so many years in my family. I have had one pair for over 35 years. It doesn't get any better than that!

My daughter loves her new bean boots. I have a pair and they last forever. I also bought her a pair of Bean socks, they pair perfectly with the boots. It takes about a day to break them in, and get them molded to your foot, once they are molded, they are super comfortable!!!

Bean's 8" unlined, lace-up, rubber-soled boot is handsome, rugged, and provides great footing in snow. The 8" size is just tall enough to keep most snow out but not so tall as to be a nuisance. I particularly like the UNLINED version of this product because I can provide my own insulation with thick woolen socks: there's no permanent lining to get dirty and matted. In sum, the 8" unlined Bean Boot provides good traction in snow and can be made warm for your feet with the addition of your own choice of insulating sock, ensuring that the inside of the boot stays clean over many seasons.

Best boots - my last pair I had for 20 years+ soles wore out so had to get a new pair

These replaced a pair that finally wore out. Just a well-made as in the past. Went with 8" over 6" so they would not chaff on my ankles. Will purchase again.
