I wanted shoes I could step into for shoveling snow, without having to tie or buckle them. Once you take the first shovel full, you don't have to wear higher boots, you just stay in the path you are creating. For rain, mud and snow these are very practical. However, the wide pair I ordered had to be returned for B width. With heavy socks these fit fine; with thinner socks, the heel still slips in the back. But I like them and they are very useful.

These are great shoes, but the run VERY large. I usually wear a 10 or an 11, so ordered a 10. The tens were huge so sent them back for a 9. The size 9 is too big as well, even with thick sox. So my size 11 foot would probably take an 8 1/2 if I felt like spending another $7 to send them back again. If they fit...I'd LOVE them!! Just remember to order a size and a half to 2 sizes down from your usual.

The heel is wide and I will have to get heel grips in order to keep them from slipping when I take a step. But, I love the look and comfort.

I bought this as a gift for family relative and they love it. Perfect for slush, rain, snow. My only wish is that Bean should carry a selection of narrow width shoes...not everybody is a wide or medium width.

The quality of these boots is good, but they run large. Both my friend & I ordered the regular size we normally wear & both pairs were too big for us. She returned hers, but I plan to keep mine & wear a thicker sock with them.

nice looking,comfortable slip on boots, which come in full sizes only- they tend to run larger than normal high quality shoes or boots.

I bought two pairs of these rubber mocs (1 for me and 1 for my daughter). We both wear size 7; but I followed instructions and ordered a size 6 for both of us. To our great disappointment, the size 6 was still too big for both of us and it's the smallest size available. The width was perfect. I wish these were available in smaller sizes as we would have loved to have them.

I usually am 8.5 wide, ordered 8wide and they were way too big. Now I have the 7wide and I love them, but still a little big! good width but still need heavy socks to fill the toe. buy small! great shoes for summer rain or light snow. Also been great for walking to work in winter then switching shoes.

Great shoe, once you get the right size. I normally wear a women's 9 Wide in shoes. Length wise the catalog warned to order a size to size and a half smaller. There was no mention of width issues. I ordered an 8 Wide and there was so much excess heel width you could stick both thumbs in beside my heel without feeling pressure. They seem more like men's shoes that have been simply marketed as women's. Order smaller and narrower than your normal shoe.

The color really appeals to me; unfortunately, I had to return the mocs as I ordered a size up from my regular size, which is 7 1/2 . I received the usual excellent customer service and was advised I should order a size down, a 7. I exchanged for new size and will receive them sometime in February. I look forward to wearing them.

I really like these shoes-just what I wanted for an all-weather shoe to wear back and forth to work, BUT - they do run large. I ordered the right size for me,assuming a moderate weight sock, and the shoes are too big, but I will keep them anyway because I like them.

I live in the county and need footgear to slip on quickly to get the newspaper and work on the land. They are great for this and keep my feet dry during the early AM hours and/or rain. If you take the time yearly, the boots clean well with amaurall which prolongs the life of the rubber.

Follow the sizing instructions given via LL Bean, and if you order the correct size you will love them and they will fit great! I normally wear a 7.5, but I ordered a 6 and they fit great even with room to spear for socks. Very comfortable shoes and durable in the rain and snow, too!

Order these TWO sizes smaller..even with thick socks - they were sooo big!

Read the tips on sizing and ordered a size 6. Shoe was too small. Returned shoes and ordered a size 7. Fit is much better. Also the heel area is kind of "loose" or "wide," but the leather ties can be adjusted for a more secure fit in the heel area. Offer these in more colors. Previous reviews mention Pink. Yellow and Black would also be nice. Would buy a pink and black pair in a heartbeat. Looks like a quality shoe that will last a long time.

These Shoes are great for the walking in the Mud. They are not true to size I wear a 8 1/2 to a 9 and I had to order a 7 to get them to fit. They are easy to get on and off. I have found them extremely cold walking in the snow & slush, they are not insulated. I would like to have a insulated pair as I'm outside allot in the cold winter months.

Be carefull when you order the size. I wear a 9 1/2 and usually wear light socks, so I ordered the size 8 as suggested. I should have ordered the 9 1/2. I can get my foot in the boot, but extremely too small in length and width. Otherwise they are a great looking, sturdy boot as they have always been. I'm a Maniac lost in Oklahoma and these boots are perfect for the winter weather here.

I've owned these for 10 years and they're still comfy and wear like iron. Unfortunately, us folks with small feet cannot order a smaller size because 6 is the smallest size available. PLEASE , LL BEAN!!! If you suggest ordering down a size, then make a size 5!

Quality is excellent, sizing is very lage. go at least 1-11/2 sizes down.

I've waited for years to find this shoe in narrow...and finally I found them! I'm thrilled. The only thing I don't like is the insoles. They have a very high arch, so I will need to remove the insoles and replace them with a flat one...the high arches are painful to me, but I otherwise love this shoe!

I owned these shoes in high school and college and ordered them recently to use for my outside winter shoes, walk the dog, slip on quickly to go outside shoes. They were much bigger than the size. Looking back, the site recommended going down a size. I have to return them but I still love the look of them, it was my error to not order correct size

I always read the reviews before making a purchase and was rewarded once again. I ordered a size smaller and they are a great fit with the exception of slipping on my heels. I do wear a heavy sock and they still slipped so I inserted a stick-um heel pad on the counter part of the shoe and voila! it works...no more slipping. I love the fact that they are slip-ons. Easy on, easy off and very well cushioned. I am constantly in the yard/garden or with the dogs having fun, so this meets more than one requirement. I showed them to my sister who lives on the East coast and after trying mine on decided to order a pair too. I had just received mine so she got the feel of a new shoe. I used to have a pair of the lace type and think I will enjoy these even more.

Well built, fashionable, sturdy, and water repellant. They do run large, so buy a size smaller and wear large socks. My daughter wears a size 8 medium shoe. We bought the 8 and had to return it for a 7 which is still a bit large. Need time to break them in or you'll rub blisters on your ankles.

I have been wanting this shoe for some time and finally went ahead and ordered it. I bought the smallest size, but even with my thickest sock it slid off the heal with each step. Other than that, I loved it! I had to return it, but please make the blue color in a size 5 for all of us with small feet!

I ordered over the phone at the LL Bean store because they did not have the color I wanted. The shoes arrived with no problem and I'm very happy with the product!
