I go straight to these shoes when it's wet and/or cold outside. They are very comfortable and roomy enough for heavier socks.

I purchased this item to wear around town and for camping in the mountains. I live in Calgary and when it rains or snows in the spring and fall it is quite cold so I ordered my normal size to wear with heavy socks. They are very correct when they say they are quite big if ordered in your normal size. Even with thick socks they are still a bit big but I find that this makes them more comfortable. I wore them all day today as we are getting hit with a spring snow storm and they were very comfortable, even in the grocery store. Another good purchase from LL Bean. These are very high quality boots.

I've had my pair for 2 years and they are worn everyday, Spring & Fall. They are tough and so incredibly durable. My friends buy other brands that crack & are worn out within a year. I keep telling them to buy LLBean's as the rubber compound will last them a lifetime. Roomy fit & even look great with jeans for those unexpected trips into town. :) I will always own a pair of these.

They are terrific--easy to get on and off, completely waterproof but never uncomfortably hot, with good support and a comfortable fit. They do run a bit large and wide, but if you follow the sizing recommendations, that's fine.

Based on an operator's suggestion, I ordered these 1 size smaller than I usually wear. The minute I put them on, I loved them! They are a bit wide, even with heavy socks, but I found that pulling on the laces to tighten them worked for me. I don't even have to wear the heavy socks. They are very comfortable, even when I wear them all day long! Wish I ordered them a long time ago!!! Love those operators!!!

Great for gardening in wet areas. Great return service for exchange in size. Yes order the smaller size. More comfortable with heavier sock.

I wear an 8 to an 8.5 M in most shoes and boots and ordered a size 7 in these based on previous reviews. I put a Dr. Scholl's "gellin'" insole in them and they fit perfectly. I wore these duck shoes almost daily for 5 months and they barely appear worn. They have held up beautifully and will last at least 10 years, I suspect, with regular wear. If that isn't value for the money, I don't know what is! When I was in high school 20 years ago I had another brand of these and they lasted one season with the same type of wear, so I feel qualified to make a comparison.

I love these shoes. They are great for walking around in the mud. The sizing is wierd. I read to order 1-1/2 sizes small. I wear a 9-1/2 and ordered an 8, and they were just too tight. So I sent them back (for free) and got a 9. The 9 is a little big in my heel, but the front of the shoe fits so well it doesn't matter. They are very comfortable. I can even wear them without socks and still comfy.

I am really impressed at the incredible workmanship of these boots. I commute by public transit into philly and spend a lot of time in the elements and wanted good waterproof footwear. And these are really cute, too.I first ordered a size down, as recommended, but in regular width. The sizing advice was right on. I figured it was a boot so would be plenty wide. I don't really have a wide foot but have bunion issues that require extra room in the toes, so I had to reorder a wide. They fit much better. But I haven't really had the opportunity to wear them yet. With Spring approaching I'm sure I will soon. Although I wouldn't recommend them for people with sensitive feet, since the rubber is not giving like fabric or leather. But I am pleased with LL Bean quality as well as their great customer service. Thanks LL. Bean.

Really like these Mocs. They do run large, (I wear 8.5 ordered 8). But with warm socks for the weather type they are perfect on raining days or slush.

I bought a pair of these about a year ago and I couldn't be happier with them. They definitely run large, ordering down a size is a must and they will probably still be too large. I've found that I really like the looser fit. They are the most comfortable shoes I own, and when (and if) they wear out, I will absolutely be buying another pair.

My THIRD pair of Bean Boots (though these are more like shoes.) I ordered size 7 (my regular size is 8.5) and the fit is perfect with medium-weight wool socks. I swap out the insoles for my special arch supports with no problem. These shoes will get heavy use this spring and summer.

This purchase was for a wonderful homehealth aide who is caring for my sister in law. She admired my pair which have to be 5 years old and so I ordered them as a surprise for her.
She is delighted with the quality - warm and much lighter weight than regular snow boots.

Love the shoe, BUT follow the sizing guidelines and order down a size. I am a solid 10 in womans shoe and ordered the 9 as instructed and it is still very loose on my foot! Heavy socks are great, but I can't wear them with just a cotton sock or they fall off. Same with the pair I bought for my husband:he's a 10 & I ordered a 9 for him & they fit him well. Great shoe tho, just wish it wasnt to roomy.

My mocs are so comfortable and true to my size with heavy socks. They are great for rainy or slushy days. The coral color matches my LL Bean jacket.

I absolutely love these shoes! They look great, feel great, keep my feet warm and dry. They are comfortable to wear and I would recommend them to anyone. Be careful on sizing though..they are made bigger. I wear a size 8 1/2, I ordered a size 8 and they fit fine if I wear thicker socks, except for the heel, which does slip a bit. I have narrow heels so I expected that to be the case; I also bought them to wear in bad weather, so wearing the thicker socks is not an issue for me. LL Bean recommends that you order a full size down from what you normally wear, and I echo that recommendation. I will probably order another pair, in a different color combination in the future, and those I will order smaller.
The shipping was very fast, and reasonably priced. All in all, I am very happy with my first purchase from LL Bean and I will not only recommend the company, but this product as well.

I've always wanted a pair of these mocs, and after the wet and wild winter we've had in New England, I did. I usually wear a 10-10 1/2, so I read the sizing guide and ordered a 9. Yes, they ARE huge, but the 9 fit me well with socks. The blue with brown leather was very subtle, and after a full day in them, my feet were well-supported, dry and comfy. I read in a previous review that someone was disppaointed that they couldn't tighten the mocs using the laces. You CAN, just unlace them back to the throat, then tighten as you go. I have a really narrow heel, and I was able to tighten them up nicely (so I wouldn't walk out of them!). High marks, and I'm buying a friend a pair in yellow for her birthday. Thanks!

I received a pair of Bean boots as a Christmas gift and I was delighted! However, I had to exchange the boots twice to find my true size. A tip to those customers who wear narrow sizes: the boots have a leather tie that can be tightened in the heel area. This prevents your heel from slipping out of the boots. Once I adjusted the tie in the back, the narrow boots fit me perfectly. These boots are so comfortable and so practical. I plan to buy another pair now that I know how to make adjustments for a slim fit.

OK, so these might not be considered "fashionable" in all circles. I have a number of friends who roll their eyes when I wear these out. But, you know what? Dry, warm feet on the puddliest days! That's the reason to wear these! And, personally, I think they have a timeless sort of fashion to them. You won't regret buying these when it rains...or snows...again!

We have had much rain this winter. The rubber mocs stay in the floor of my truck and I can slip them on even right after work with dress clothes and walk into the barn to feed horses! They are great country attire! They do come a little large, though.

Just got these in navy. Have the lace up storm chasers and like them for cold weather. These will be perfect for 3 seasons in the South. As I wear a 7 or 7-1/2M, I got the 6M and the fit is just right. I could put in orthotics and wear with Bean light wool socks or barefoot. This type shoe is never going to be a perfect fit like a running shoe, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well they did fit.

I recently purchased these boots and was pleased with my purchase. They fit well and keep my feet warm. I'm glad I read previous reviews regarding sizing because the boots do run large in length and width. My shoe size is a 9W. I was going to order a 9M but that size wasn't available so I ordered a 8M. I'm glad I did because they fit perfectly.

was looking for a quick slip-on shoe for the winter that I could wear with my heavy wool socks. This shoe is a perfect fit. It is on the large side, but I read the other reviews and ordered down a size...perfect for what I wanted!

Had to return them. They were way too big and the lace broke when I tried to tighten it. Excellent quality and design and the green color was so nice. Might try a size down.
