This shoe is well made, but pay attention to the size recommendations. I ordered down from my normal size 8 to a size 7. I was happy to see a WOMEN'S shoe being offered in a wide width. This one, however, is still a little narrow in the toe box and yet it tends to slip in the back. I find it fits best with heavier socks - like athletic socks. Overall, I am happy with the shoe, but it would be nice if the fit were a little more true to size.

I ordered these shoes for dog walking in wet conditions. You do have to order a size smaller than your normal size as recommended. They are cute and would be perfect for what I need except after I wore them for the first time with socks I got blisters on the back of my heel and under my ankle bone because the inside of the shoe is not finished. I hope the leather softens up so it doesn't continue to rub so much. Hopefully LLBean would consider finishing off the inside of these shoes to make them more comfortable.

I love the style...just what I was looking for. I usually wear an 8 or 8-1/2 wide shoe so ordered an 8. It was huge so sent it back and got a 7 wide...it, too, was too big (even with a heavy sock). Exchanged it hesitantly for a 6 wide...not quite big enough but will do...just not for long treks. Back of boot doesn't stay in place when I step forward so I'm worried about blisters. Maybe it's too wide in the back; width in front is fine. I usually don't have these problems with shoes. Only reason I wouldn't recommend this boot to others is the sizing problem; otherwise, very pleased with return system.

My very favorite was the Original Storm Chaser. If you still had the old ones I would buy a couple of pairs right now. I bought the Mocs because I could not get the original storm chasers and I do not like the new storm chasers - they are not as comfortable and I like the look of the storm chasers that resembled the original boot. Please, please bring the original storm chasers back!

Although these mocs are not for me. I think they are of good quality. They just have sizing issues. The size 8 for me was too large and the 7 was too small.

Take the suggestion of ordering a size smaller seriously. Solid, quality shoe, but I'm looking for something more comfortable to wear.

I bought these boots ,following the sizing instructions and they were still much too large. I normally wear a size 10 1/2 wide and ordered a size 9 normal width and they were still much too large. They seem like good quality, but the sizing is way off, so I returned them.

I normally take a size 11 medium, but for these mocs, I fit into a size 10 narrow. Size 9 was a 1/4" too small. Unfortunately I have to return them. I was only able to wear them once while walking my dog and because my heal kept sliding up and down a bit while walking, I got a huge blister on the back of both heals. I even wore heavy socks.

I have narrow feet and tried these because they come in a narrow width. I ordered them one size smaller because of the advice of other reviews and the length was fine, but they are still too wide in the heel. I had to return them. I'd recommend them but only to people who don't have narrow feet.

I had high hopes for these boots, as I am planning to relocate to the Pacific Northwest this summer. I usually wear an 11N to 11M. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with the 10N. When they arrived and I tried them on, I was surprised by the poor fit. They were slightly snug, which wasn't a problem, since I could wear thin socks. But they were very narrow across the instep, which rarely happens to me. I considered going to a 10M, but the heel was so loose I walked out the 10N, so the 10M would have been out of the question. I found the fit very strange. This very narrow boot should have had a correspondingly narrow heel, but instead had a much wider heel than I'm used to, even in the M widths I sometimes wear. Too bad. The boots had the excellent quality and craftsmanship I've come to expect from LL Bean, but they need to work on the fit. I can't imagine how anyone with a narrow foot could help but walk out of these. I've only given them three stars because of the weird fit. This is the first time I've ever returned anything to LL Bean!

LOVE THE RUBBER-MOC. I WENT DOWN ONE SIZE BUT, I HAVE AAA HEAL & HAD TO WEAR A HEAVY SOCK. I WANTED THEM TO WEAR ON A DAY IN THE SUMMER TOO, SO I WANTED THEM TO FIT BETTER IN THE HEAL & THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT. MADE WELL, GOOD LOOKING TOO. WILL PURCHASE WHEN DESIGN IS MADE BETTER FOR A WOMANS FOOT.

These mocs are really nice - cute colors for teens. My only problem is with sizing. My daughter has a wide foot and so I thought great - I'll order down and get it in wide. I've already sent one pair back and I'm mailing the new pair back tomorrow. It would make it a lot easier for me to just see the sizes listed for ladies instead of having to figure out the size from a man's size. At Christmas, my brain isn't working! No complaints except that I still haven't fiqured out what size to order!

I was delighted that your duck mocs finally came in wide. Responding to reviews, I ordered a size smaller. I can barely get the wide shoes on with thin socks, and there's ample toe room in that smaller size, but with socks of any thickness, the stitching part absolutely strangles my instep. Guess I have to wait for extra-wides. Very disappointed.

I've always loved the look of the Rubber Moc, especially in the navy/tan color. Ordered a pair but unfortunately having to send them back as they just do not fit as well as I'd like them to. Too wide along the sides and heel of my foot. Ordered a size 7 which is what I normally wear in my other bean boots (storm chaser slip on, 8" Bean Boot Uninsulated and one with Gore-Tex). The Mocs were just a little bit longer not quite 1/4" too big. Really disapointed because I think they are more on the "dressy" side of bean boots. Hopefully they will be taken in a little more where they will fit closer to the foot like the storm chaser collar area but still keep the moc look. Exchanging mine for another pair of storm chasers as they really provide a sturdy and comfortable fit. My very favorites are my 8" Bean Boots with the Gore-Tex insulation. Imagine big pink fuzzie bunny slippers in a boot style, that is how good they feel!

These boots do run large in one's regular size (mine is 9). However, I used to wear the men's 6 WW and they fit like a glove but then LL Bean did away with men's size 6. Customer Service suggested I try the women's wide because they run large. Well, because of my extra-wide foot, I ordered the 9 D. They were so long and wide that even with heavy socks, I could not wear them. So, I ordered the 8 D. I can wear them but I had to cut the liner insole back to give my toes and forefoot room and I have to wear a lighter sock. The shoes still slip on my heels. Yet, even with that, I am keeping these boots because there is nothing like them on the market. They are superb in construction and just right for wearing in snowy, rainy weather and mucking around after 3 dogs in the back yard or gardening. They are watertight. They are easy to clean off the outside. The Navy/Green combination is such a lively, great, with-it color combination. I wish that LL Bean would make this boot in an Extra-Wide for Ladies. There are a lot of us out there. Also, in studying the difference between a man's and a woman's foot, the woman needs more space in the forefront and around the toes than a man. Also, a woman's heel is also usually narrower than a man's foot. These ladies boots are made on a man's last....and thus proportionally do not fit as well as they could for so many of us ladies out there who do not have a perfect foot. I hope LL Bean reads these reviews & does something about it to manufacture a truly female boot and not just copy a man's basic outline. (That is why I only gave it 3 stars.) Still, I am wearing my green/navy mocs with great pride even as my heel slips and my toes are chilly because of no liner there. There is no rubber moc out there like this LL Bean one.

These were just what I was looking for to get back and forth to work on snowy days, was not looking for a boot to tromp through snowdrivts in. They are not available in half sizes so I orderd the next size up. They were HUGE. When I returned them to local store the sales girl said they "run Big". That info would have been helpful online!!! The store did not have this item in stock. If I had wanted a smaller size I would have had to re-order and pay shipping again. (First round of shipping was not refunded) That would have brought my shipping and handling total to more than half the cost of the boot. I will think long and hard before ordering online again.

I have horses, so I need a tough, waterproof shoe that will take a beating and weather any kind of muck I get into at the barn. This is the shoe for that. The trouble I ran into was with the fit. I have a wide foot, so at first I didn't believe that I had to order down a size and a half. After shipping back a pair that were too big, I settled on the right size. They are perfect at the front of the shoe, but they fall off my heel at the back. I have kept them because they serve the purpose I need, but be careful if you are ordering a wide shoe. For me, the fit was awful.

I haven't owned a pair of duck shoes in over 30 years and was hoping to relive the joy. I had to return these shoes because they were too big, too heavy and rigid. Not comfortable at all.

I really wanted to love these shoes, and I do, but they run more than a full size large. On similar styled shoes LL B says order down. If you wear a 6 order a 5 but on these. They should! Unfortunately I wear a 6 and they don't make these in a 5. This is not a matter of wearing big socks, or thick socks. You would have to layer several pairs. These boots are cute! But be warned. Order small.

I have a narrow foot so I tried both the narrow and regular widths. I went with the regular. After a few weeks - they are just OK, not fabulous like I'm led to believe by ratings. They don't really tighten with the lace - is it just there for show? When I do try to tighten it a bit, the flap just contorts into odd positions and it's uncomfortable. Yes, they are waterproof, so that's good. If they are loose enough to slip into, they tend to come off my foot. So not the fabulous shoe I was looking for, and I'm glad I got them on sale. Oh, and the laces always come loose, even double knotted.

I really want to like these shoes, but i don't. I bought them to have something waterproof to quickly step into when I run out to the garden. One shoe fits sort of okay. The other slides off my heel when I walk. (I tried a smaller size also: too small.) Both shoes feel like they're going to fall off when I walk. The tongues catch on my socks and get stuck and dragged into the shoe when I step into them. Right now I'm still wearing them and hoping they'll work better when I break them in.

The tongue on this goes above the shoe opening, which makes it hard to tighten the shoe with the laces. Also the heel slips, pulling my socks down in the back- maybe because I have a narrow heel. I think the traditional model (which llbean also carries) is a much better fit and looks smoother in the front.
