First I tried my regular size (11) which was way to big. Then I tried a (10) which was still too big. The (10) felt the best in width and feel, but the heel was just too wide. The heel slipped off completely when I tried to walk. I tried an unthinkable (9) and alas, it was too short in length. I really wished it would've worked - I have searched high and low and cannot find another shoe like it available in my size!
Sincerely,

These are cool looking shoes, but the sizing is all off. I wear a 9 m in other shoes. I purchased a 8 m. They were too big. Somewhat in the length and too wide as well. I exchanged for a 8 n. These are wearable but a little too narrow and a little long as well. I wish I could have tried a 7 m but didnt want to exchange and have to pay shipping again and wait another week to get them. I was also afraid the 7 would be too small. I wish they would make them more true to size.

I was excited to get this boots, but they slipped off my heels whenever I took a step. Since I was planning to wear them while walking my dogs in wet weather, they were not suitable. I returned them and bought the 6" ones because they'll lace up around my ankles. You need thick socks or wide feet for these!

These shoes are great, keep your feet warm and dry, but order at least one size smaller than your true size. I wear a 6 1/2 sometimes a 7 in workout/cross trainer shoes. I thought the size 6 might be a little large, but they feel like a size 8, two sizes larger! Size 6 is the smallest they have for adult women, maybe I will exchange them for a large child size. I had to put in another full sole and wear thick socks to keep the shoes on my feet. I might give them to my mother who wears a size 8. By the way, my husband loves his, he was able to order one size smaller than his true shoe size and he is quite happy.

I ordered the rubber MOCS twice one pair in size 8 because I wear a size 7 1/2. Exchanged these for a size 7 they also were too big. I really like them but I walked out of both of them even with heavy socks on. I will be returning
my rubber mocs to you on Thursday 01/06. I am also going to be returning
a pair of boys black suede mocks they are too tight for my Father. I will be in touch if I decide to order a different size.
Thank you.

These are high quality shoes made with good materials and would be great for rainy, snowy, slushy conditions. I returned mine though because they just didn't fit well. Too wide and too long and I had already ordered a size down based on previous reviews. I didn't know if going with a narrow would help because I like to be able to wear heavy socks.

This replaces red lace-ups from Bean that I've worn during the CA rainy season for ~30 years. This style slips on my heel so maybe I should have gone shorter or w/lace-ups again, but my foot's wide so that may take up the extra length in time. Heel stick'ems till then. Good around town; not for hiking. Clumsy lacing system drops the item a star.

The boots themselves are great. Stylish, weel built with quality material and made in USA however they are huge. Ordered them foe the wife who wears a size 8 and thought they would fit with heavy socks, wrong, they were 2 inches to long, so i returned them for a size 7 and they are still too large. Now we have the choice of keeping a pair of boots that are too large or paying another $6.50 to return them, the boots may be great but getting a pair to fit is an exspensive nightmare.

I was eager to try these boots, as they were well reviewed, well made and seemed perfect for my needs. Unfortunately, just wearing them around the house irritated my feet. I wear a size 10 and, as recommended, ordered a size 9. A 10 would definitely have been too big. But the 9 was a bit snug in the toe and loose in the heel.

1st time ordering from LL Bean & was looking forward to wearing their Rubber Moo's in this fall weather. I used the recommendations of ordering a size 6 instead of my normal size 61/2-7, but they are still huge. Disappointed they don't come in size 5. Does everyone in Maine have huge feet? I will try with bigger socks before I send back.

The boots themselves are great, however they need to come in half-sizes. I had to order a 7 and I feel like I am swimming in them. Wearing thick socks didn't help; I added insoles. Telling people to order a size smaller would have really helped.

I had a pair of these shoes years ago and loved them. I think the sizing has changed significantly in the interim as I wear a 10 or 10.5, ordered them in a 9, and my heel slips out with every step. My old ones had a wonderful fleece insole, but I can't find this great item anywhere. It would make the shoes fit and feel warmer, too. These have always been my go-to shoe in bad weather, so I'll keep them and keep looking for an insole and just wear them with thick socks in the meantime.

I should have read the sizing description a little more closely - the shoe, size 8M, was too big. I've requested an exchange for a size 7M. Hope it fits. (I normally wear a size 8 M).

I was looking for waterproof boots to wear in my barn. The picture doesn't show it too well but there's a decorative flap in the front, which makes no sense when you know you will be in the mud and dirt, etc. Also, the back of the shoe doesn't have the loop necessary to pull them on. Also, I wear a 7 1/2, ordered a 7 and they were way too big. Returned these boots for the Dpcf/Blw Strmchar Slipon, in my regular size 7 1/2. They are perfect.

I needed walking shoes for a trip to rainy England in November. I followed Bean's advice and ordered these a size smaller than normal -- a 9W fit my 10W foot just fine. But the long leather laces seemed impractical -- they'll get sopping wet. The tongue also is unwieldy -- tho, in fairness, it does look exactly like the photo. They were also very heavy -- great for a tromp to the barn but not so good for a city stroll. So I returned them. Sorry, L.L. Bean -- your description was accurate.

I typically wear a standard size 6.5 shoe so I ordered a medium width, size 6 bean boot. The shoe was way too long and incredibly wide but there wasn't any size smaller, and they aren't available in children's sizes. I exchanged them for a size 6 narrow hoping that they'd be narrow enough to be wearable, but they're still too wide. If you have small and narrow feet, order up to two sizes down, i.e. if you wear a 7.5 order a 6. Besides having to tie them incredibly tightly and wear multiple pairs of socks to keep them on, they were perfect for the rain and the traction was great when transitioning from wet concrete to dry linoleum floors. No embarrassing slips with these shoes!

I normally wear a 10N so, heeding the sizing notes, I ordered 9N. Even the narrow moc is not good for those with long slim feet. Width and depth of the toe box was good, but I hadn't enough length. The heels were so wide they slipped amost off, even when I wore heavy sweatsocks.
I was really looking forward to having a slipon waterproof moc, and the quality is great, but had to return them. If you have a truly narrow foot, do not order.

I ordered a size down as recommended, and this would have worked out just fine except that the shoes were oddly wide at the heel and kept slipping off. I tightened the laces as much as possible but still couldn't get the heel to stop slipping so I returned. I plan to try again with the lace-up ankle boot style to see if that works better.

These shoes would be very practical if they fit!! I usually wear a 8 or 8 1/2 wide. They recommend downsizing 1 1/2 sizes, so I got a 7 W, which was too big. I got it replaced with a 7 M, which still slid off my foot because of the wide heel.

I gave the boots 3 stars but I have to say the boots are great except they are not true to size. I'm a size 6 and they were very large. Unfortunately size 6 is the smallest size they have so I was disappointed I couldn't order a smaller size.

I had a pair of these years ago and wore them so much I wore out the tread. ( my husband can't function without his) the new pair is not as comfortable as I remember. sizing is a problem. I usually take 8-or 8.5. Based on other reviews I ordered a 7; still a little too big since I do not wear heavy socks with them. I find the stitching around the inside back annoying. I'm hoping this is due to the stiffness of them being new.

They were out of the tan topped Rubber Moc so I took the green. Don't select this unless you don't care about the color. The combination is awful but I only need it for running across the backyard. The I generally wear a wide but the wide size is REALLY REALLY wide. I also went down a half size and it's still long (even with thick socks). I'm afraid two sizes down would be too much though so I'm living with it.
