These shoes keep the water out and look nice on. They are somewhat adjustable due to the thong ties; however, they were wide for my medium foot and I had to tie the thongs very tightly in order to keep them on. This makes it extremely difficult to step into the shoes. I have trouble bending on one side, so I really can't get one shoe on without a shoe horn. Would not purchase these shoes again for that reason alone.

The styling on these is great but they run very big. I wear a 10 1/2 size shoe so I ordered the size 10. Even with heavy socks they were too big. I didn't think I could go down to a size 9 so I was disappointed in the sizing.

I purchased these shoes a half size down after reading the reviews. I normally take a size 8 1/2. After they arrived I found out they were huge! Took them back to the store and got a size 7. I still wasn't thrilled with the way they felt, but after adjusting ( and pulling ties around the back of the shoe), they are now quite comfortable.

Nice quality but run VERY VERY large. I've now returned two pair and ordering 2 sizes smaller than my Mom wears.

As much as I like these shoes, they didn't work for me. I knew they ran large so I ordered 1/2 size down. I normally wear an 8 1/2 but the 8's were too big, so then I reordered the 7's....they were too small. I hate that they don't come in half sizes.

I really like these mocs, they are great for walking my dog on those rainy days. My only problem is they are a bit sloppy. I ordered a size 7 but I have to wear big fat socks to keep them on my feet so they'll get shelved in the summer months. I'm afraid a 6 1/2 will be to small.

I purchased these a few years ago. I am a size 7.5 and ordered an 8 (I see they now suggest to downsize a full size) to wear with thick socks and an insulated insole as I wear them in the winter to fetch wood and on trips to the out-buildings. I find that they are impossible to use as a walking shoe for any distance as even with the socks and insole filling in the shoe they slip off the heel. I thought this might change as I wore them but they still do not give as there is absolutely no flex in the arch. Consequently, I use them only around the yard. Construction wise however, they are top notch.

Had to send these back because they were about one size too big (too long).

These are exactly what I want, a lightweight, waterproof, pair of shoes. Unfortunately, I normally take a size 7 with a slightly wide foot, I ordered a size 6 Wide. The width was great, but like other reviewers said, these shoes were way too long even if I wore thick, wool, socks in them. They did not come in a size 5, so I have no idea if 2 sizes smaller would have worked. LL Bean makes a great product but they need to make them more true to size or offer more sizes including half sizes. These are going back only because they didn't fit.

I had to return these. I normally wear a 7 to 7 1/2 shoe, and read the sizing description before ordering. It was suggested that you order down a size, so I ordered a 6. When I received the shoes, they are so big, I couldn't keep them on my feet no matter how thick my socks were! I would have gladly returned them for a size 5; however, size 6 is the smallest available. I don't have an unusually small foot; I can't imagine why the shoe isn't available for women who normally wear a 7!

This is a reasonably priced, quality boot. However, be warned that it runs extremely wide. If you have a true narrow foot, the narrow will not be narrow enough, particularly in the heel. It fits more like a medium width. My heels slipped right out and back the boots went.

I normally wear a 9 1/2 or a 10 so I ordered a 10. When they arrived they were much too big and I remembered I had run into this before with LLBean shoes. So I returned them for a 9. Still too big! I don't know if it was just that the opening was so big that my foot kept falling out, or if the shoe was just too big. They were kind enough to send me an 8 while I still have the 9 to try them on. The 8 is much to small. I really wish there were half sizes in these shoes because I love the style and would prefer to get them here.
If I was only planning on wearing thick socks with them I would keep the 9's (and I mean really thick socks). I am rather disappointed.

I received my rubber mocs very promptly, but although I had taken the advice to order smaller than shoe size, they were still huge. They looked to be of good quality, but had to return them because I had already ordered the smallest size and they were too big. The return shipping is rather high, guess it makes up for shipping it to me free. I was very disappointed that no one seems to have waterproof boots or shoes for women with short fat feet or larger calfs. Our feet get wet too!!

Workmanship and quality not in question, but these shoes run larger than I expected. Will have to add insoles and heavy socks to make them useful in muddy situations.

These shoes were far too large. I ordered a half size up to account for socks, but even with socks, the shoes would not stay on my feet. I realized that I would have to try them on in a store to find the right size. Sadly, I returned the shoes and bought some wellingtons locally. But I wanted waterproof Fall shoes, as boots are too hot in mild temperatures.

LL Beans Rubber Mocs seemed to be the best shoe for me for rain, snow etc and the idea of just slipping them on or off is just what I was looking for. I ordered them on line. I have to exchange them because they are much too big. I ordered an 8 and hope if I exchange it for a 7 it will not be too small. I long for the days of half sizes.

These boots are the cutest thing and appears very durable. However, I normally wear a 6.5 and wide shoes are generally more comfortable for me, but after getting a normal width size 6 (the smallest size offered), the shoes were too long and big, even with my thick socks and sadly, I had to return them. I really want to try their narrow size 6 to see if maybe that will fit, but I wish they would make the length smaller! Also, the lacing is rather tricky and hard to tie tightly.

Have ordered these twice, but had to send them back both times. The fit on these are strange......however, I can tell I would love to have them, if only I could know what size would really fit. So will have to wait until I am able to go into the LL Bean store and try them on!! Only giving 3 stars because of the difficulty in getting the right size.

They'd have the durability, but are way too long for the size. When exchanged in smaller length, the width was tight on the toes. Also, they'd flop around more, because they didn't fit well. Returned it.

As other reviewers have noted, you need to order a smaller size shoe than you actually wear. My issue was that the shoes were heavy and I thought I would get tired of lifting them as I walked.

My last pair of rubber duck shoes (not from Bean's) finally died of dry rot, and it was hard to pick from among the fabulous colors (is anyone still buying the brown on brown ones??). They are a little big, this not because I didn't see all the advice to size down, but because they don't come smaller than size 6. The problem is that the tongue and laces are very strange, looping back around and through the length of lace on the side of the shoe then back up on top of the tongue where they get tied. By the time I tie it tight enough to keep my foot in the shoe, the leather tongue is gathered and lumpy, putting unpleasant, potentially blister-making pressure on the top of my foot. And it's no longer a slip-on like my old ones were, so I have do do this annoying lacing process every time. Sorry to say that the jury is still out, even though these shoes are otherwise well-made and very cool, and I've wanted them for ages.

I was so excited to get these boots but when I tried them on they were way too big. I've exchange the size 8 for a 7 but they won't be in stock until late April - I was disappointed that I won't be getting them anytime soon. So I probably can't give much of a review because I haven't even worn them yet!
