Like the boot itself, however, DO NOT, DO NOT, follow the directions for ordering your size. Order your normal size. I followed direction to the T in ordering my size and you guessed it too small by that exact amount. Have to return them. :(

These boots have a tongue that is stitched down all the way to the top the shoe and does not open wide. I cannot gt my foot into the boot! Sadly returning.
Never got my foot in so I cannot answer your questions regarding fit but cannot post until I answer...so bogus information.

I really wanted these to work because I need a pair of waterproof boots, most reviews were positive and I have a lot of llbean items that I love. I ordered a size down as suggested and they were too small. Normally a 7.5 and ordered a 7. I would have tried a different style but returning can get expensive! Sizing is undependable.

Not sure what all the hype is about regarding these shoes. They were the most uncomfortable shoes I've tried. The laces felt cheap, the soles had no comport and the boots were so stiff. The tongue hit my calf in an uncomfortable way that I could not walk in them. They looked good on, but sadly had to return them.

The boots , like the 10" Shearling boots, fit by length and width. However the way my foot sat in the shoe was totally odd and uncomfortable. Unwearable, So unfortunate - I really want to wear these boots.

These boots run large and wide. They are not comfortable.

I tried them on in the store and thought they seemed stiff, but I hoped they would soften up. When I put them back on at home and walked around, they were cutting into the front of my leg. Unfortunately I am going to have to return them.

The quality of these boots was outstanding!! But I am petite (5'2") and the top of the boot cut into my leg and was not comfortable at all. Also, these boots are not too easy to "slip" on.

The box was nice. The boots were in the box. Other than that I have no idea since they are a Christmas gift for someone. Be patient, maybe they'll write a review after they receive them.

Because the tongue is sewn to the entire side of the boot, the opening is small so they are difficult to get on and when the boots are laced, there ends up being 2 layers of leather on the inside, which is very uncomfortable! I was so excited to see rain boots in a narrow width, but these are going back.

So disappointed!! im returning these. I'm a 9.5 in regular shoes and followed the recommendation to go to a 8. That was totally fine. As soon as I got them out of the box I was shocked at how fake they looked. The shoe laces wow awful and hard. I put them on to try they do fit good and have room but wow so not comfortable I mean no paddening. You would have to wear a nice thick sock for these. For the price I was shocked. I could go get other brands that are way more comfortable than to pay 3x as much for something that doesn't look good and uncomfortable

I wanted to love these boots and at first, I did. But they did not hold up well at all. After just a year they started to smell so weird and my feet never smell bad. They are not waterproof and my feet were always cold and wet. The stitching also started coming out near the laces. I wanted to return them and see if they could repair the stitching but because I could not find a receipt and have moved addresses they could not locate my account so I was not able to.

I have always wanted a pair of Bean Boots, so I decided to put down the money for them. I followed sizing guidelines and ordered 6N (my normal size is 7 1/2 N). They were way too narrow and cut the circulation in my foot. I returned them for a medium width. Now it is almost impossible to get them on because the opening is too tight. I don't know if I need to get the wider width or just return them and be through with them.

I am returning these boots. I found them difficult to put on with the tongue sewn to the boot making it difficult to put the boot on and off. I tried on others that had the tongue sewn down also but only part way up allowing the opening to be larger so I could slip my foot in.
I really wanted to love these as years ago I had a pair and loved them. Maybe they were made that way but I do not remember. Loved them back then!

I just unboxed my Bean boots and I was shocked by the poor quality/condition of the boots.
Am I suppose to complete Quality Control in my home, then send them back to LL Bean?
Do not think so. See attached photos.
- I had strings hanging out of the seams (not trying to cut them off myself)
- discolorations
- spots on the rubber that look like they were never glazed over
- Glue on the leather upper
- Irregular Leather cutting and stitching
Too bad I can only post 4 pictures.

I was disappointed in the stiffness and feel of the shoe on my foot. I should have gotten a liner or a boot style which had a lining.

I have had Bean Boots on my 'wish list' for a number of years....bit the bullet so to speak and ordered. However, upon trying on, the leather is SO Very stiff that I could feel it causing issues on my shins almost immediately and knew both shins would bruise. For reference, I am a runner and athletic so that should not have been a problem. I was so disappointed - again, as I had really wanted them and so wanted to love them. The leather really needs to be softened in some way as I have now read reviews that state the same....also, the tongue, for comfort, should be free-moving and not attached. Sadly....sending them back.

I've had these boots on my wish list forever. Finally I ordered them but they're going back. I usually wear a 7 1/2W or 8M, so I ordered a 7M because that's the only width available in the colors I wanted. I can't even get my feet into them because of my high insteps. So disappointed!

I eagerly waited for these boots, as they were on back order, and excited when they arrived. I had a very time-consuming struggle to get them on the first time I attempted to wear them, however I was determined and persevered. They kept my feet dry and were wonderful. The second time I went to wear them, I had a similar exhausting struggle - and even much difficulty getting them off. I figured that they would loosen up with wear. The third time I had to give up trying to get them on because I would have been late for an appointment. This was in March-April of 2017. I found myself avoiding them when it was raining outside because of the time and effort I would have to expend putting them on. I tried them again yesterday - heavy rain predicted for the entire day and my appointment wasn't until late in the day - After ten minutes I gave up - I cannot get my foot into the boot -the opening will not give enough for my heel to push in. I have the correct size - normally wear a 7 1/2 shoe, I have a size 6. When I called LLBean to advise I was returning them - no use having boots that in the closet that you can't wear - the representative suggested I exchange for another pair as the tongue of the shoe might have been sewn in too tight. I'm not sure what to do - I looked forward to getting these boots and see that most people absolutely love them. I'm so disappointed.

Would like the insole to be thicker or more padded when wearing athletic socks.
The top of the tongue cuts into my shin and also causes a bruise and top of my ankle and the shin where the leather hits my left feet. I already adjusted by not lacing the top eyelet.
Have not contacted LLB on this.
This is hand made as the leather is softer for the right tongue and stiff for left tongue.
Outer heel shows signs of wearing after about 10, 000 steps : I used a health fitness tracker and have been wearing for last 2 days due to rainy weather.
Like the color.

I ordered these boots in November as a Christmas present for my daughter. They were already back ordered until the end of January. When they finally arrived they were too big despite going a size smaller, and my daughter ended up having to return the gift she waited two months to receive. I spend a lot of money at LL Bean and I'm usually the store's biggest cheerleader. This purchase however has been nothing but a disappointment. Winter will be over before she's had a chance to make use of a rather pricey Christmas present.

I purchased these boots recently and I'm not impressed. My toes got damp the few times I've worn in the rain and snow! It has not snowed heavily nor stepped in deep puddles for this to happen. I currently own an old pair of low cut bean boots that are still in great condition and never had an issue. I got these because I wanted a higher cut boot since my tall rubber boots from another popular brand have cracked. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning. I'm giving it 2 stars because I like the color combo. Overall, not happy.

For the life of me I don't understand why these boots are so hard to fit!I wear a 9.5 tried the 8 big toe right to the end of the boot then tried a 9 the boot is so sloppy and wide. I would need to ALWAYS wear two pair of socks to maybe fit.I wanted these to work so bad as they are adorable!
Customer service excellent and very helpful. All the boots returned. Guess they are not for me booo!
I wish they came in half sizes I know that would be a great fit.
