These boots will certainly keep your feet dry, and they look good. I have two issues with them. First of all, they're too big overall. I have a pair of lined Bean Boots, and those fit pretty well. I'm guessing these are the same boot just without the lining. Secondly, the leather is way too stiff. That's also the case with my lined boots. I've had those a couple years and they're still too stiff. I've run them through the washing machine and worn them out a lot and they still feel like I'm wearing cardboard. That said, I'll keep them just because I use them to snow blow my driveway. They keep me dry.

Maybe my 4th pair over the last 30+ years. Very good boots. The leather doesn't seem like the same quality that is used to be though.

I wear a men's 9 med in street shoe. I bought an 8 which fit great with average socks. I loved them in summer. I wore them in winter with light to medium weight socks and froze my feet within minutes standing in snow in 20F. If you want them for winter order regular size and wear very very heavy socks with liner

Quality is excellent and what I expected. They certainly keep the snow out! However, because the tongue is attached to the uppers they can be difficult to get on unless the laces are very loose. But thats a minor inconvenience.
Also follow the guidance provided on sizing! It may seem counterintuitive but its correct.

Gift was delivered promptly but unfortunately was far too big. They were returned for an exchange right after christmas BUT my grandson has not yet received the adjusted size. If this can be checked I would appreciate it. Thank You.

Awesome looking waterproof boots that are very stylish. They run super big tho. I normally wear a size 12. After reading all the reviews I decided to order a size 11. They fit but were still big even with double socks. So I ordered a size 10 which fit perfect with regular or double socks. I know it's hard to believe that you would have to order 2 sizes down, but believe me with these shoes you will have to unless you like extra room for your toes. Also, kudos to the company for giving me a full refund on the size 11s.

Great boots and great customer service. I have had a few minor issues with the boots like the leather strip behind the heel not being glued in good so it wrinkles and rubs the back of the heel. I have every height and the 8 inch pair is the only ones I have had that problem with. I think I have returned four pair because of that but they get you another pair in a couple of days. I have always worn bean boots and never had that problem until recently so they are still the best boots money can buy in my opinion. I wear a 9 1/2 with a wide foot and a 8 medium fits perfect.

I was recommended to order the Bean Boots 1 size down. If you wear thin socks, they are okay. However, when I use regular hiking socks, I find the fit a little snug. I wish I had gone with my gut and ordered my regular size.

Good boots, however i will warn that they run somewhat large so when thinking about ordering them order a size small. Other than that good boots, looks good, and are really comfortable.

Nice boots, but I wish they were offered with felt liners for warmth and comfort

Boot is good and the fit using directions for ordering worked. If I could improve them it would be to have a better fit at the top of the boot. They do not fit tight against the leg at the top.

I'm very pleased with these boots and glad I purchased them. The performance and overall feel/comfort of the boot is what I expected. The fit takes some getting used to. I have a narrow foot, so the boot is a little wide on me, but my foot isn't slipping around in them. Someone with a narrow foot would benefit going a size to two sizes smaller than what would normally be worn in shoes or sneakers or wearing heavy, thick socks to compensate. I chose to get a size smaller than my sneakers, but I could still use thick socks to compensate for the width.
I'm only giving four stars because my feet did get unexpectedly cold in the booth while I was clearing snow. However, I was outside for over an hour and I was wearing regular sweat socks, not thick winter socks. I expected more warmth from the boots, even while wearing regular sweat socks. I will most likely use thick cold weather socks while wearing the boots in the future to improve the overall comfort. If I had to buy new boots, I would get the more expensive pair that has a different material to pack on the warmth regardless of my sock type.
In spite of my one minor issue, I would recommend these boots to anyone else.

First off, I am 69 years of age and been hunting Maine for 50 plus years and have worn Bean Boots on most of those hunts, a great product, but will give a few comments about the boots, when the temps drop below zero, you will feel the cold, if your not on the move, so sitting in a tree or ice fishing, go with the Bean Pac boots. also if the soles start to wear it can be a little slippery, if worn in the woods, not around town, the soles will last for a long time. they do keep you feet dry and are quite, moving around in the woods. I just returned a pair, the bottoms separated from the bottoms and had no trouble getting a replacement pair, I will most likely be to old to hunt when these wear out, so i guess you can say they will last a life time

I'm generally a 8.5 at least, and can wear 9s comfortably, but even 8s in these boots are a little big. Still, they are very comfortable anyways so I didn't feel a reason to return them for a smaller pair, especially I were to wear much thicker socks when it gets cold.

These boots are really comfortable! Definitely listen to the sizing charts if you are buying online though, I had to return the first set I got because I thought I would be an 11D but turned out to be a 10D.
That being said, I'm not sure how confident they can be on the Waterproof claim. On my first wear today, we had a massive thunderstorm come through and the boots did not keep water out of the foot cavity. Also the stitching already had pulls in it upon arrival and the glue that combines the leather to the rubber bottom is already coming up after one wear.

The boot is a bit larger, but seem to be designed to allow for thicker sock. Like a jacket or belt it is sized to accommodate the underlying garment. Color is true to picture.

They are OK. I'd always wanted a pair but foolishly thought the non-insulated (insulated were on back order) offer no resistance to cold when walking on snow. I've found very few boots do however and these were no exception.

The reviews I read said they run big, they do not, I could not get my foot a 9, I am an 8.5.

Very good boot to keep your feet dry. But the stitching at the rubber and leather will rug on your ball joint causing blisters

Very big and very wide. Not the size for me. They were also unwilling to swap them out for a pair that fit.

I give 5 stars for products that are truly excellent, but these are fine, they're acceptable, they get a passing grade, thus 3 stars. Why cut corners, though? Why use such thin, cheap laces? To save a penny? Why not use better shoe inserts -- how much was saved by using what's essentially a piece of cardboard? And since the sizing is notoriously non-standard, why not put a stop to the way it's always been and have them sized to industry norms? I don't know why so many things have to be manufactured as cheaply as possible -- do you think that we would object to paying, say, 10% more for a truly exceptional product? Can't you offer boots in narrow widths -- the National Shoe Retail Assoc says that nearly 35% of the population has narrow-width feet. I had hoped that Bean would be different, but sadly they're not.

I know these are legendary American made footwear and I have always wanted them for function rather than fashion. But MAN these are some slippery boots and I haven't tried them in mud, slush or snow yet. I have almost fallen a few times walking along various transitions among concrete and wood surfaces. I can't imagine what would happen having them muddy or slushy in such a situation. Buyer beware.

The quality of the workmanship on this boot has taken a dive since I last purchased a Bean Boot 10 years ago. The rubber sole is poorly glued into the leather uppers -- the leather does not meet the sole completely and glue is visible on the rubber. The uppers are a cheap leather that looks like it will age poorly. I was very disappointed with this purchase, considering the cost. In fact, I'd pay more for this boot if they returned to the quality production that established their reputation.

Length and fit were correct . Needs waxed laces. Good for use in wet conditions.
