I bought these boots a couple of weeks ago and have worn them everyday since. They are very comfortable and look great. I normally wear a size 11 in everything(shoes and work boot)but I bought a size 10 and they fit perfect. You will not be disappointed with these boots.

Love em, love em, love em!!!! Just save yourself some trial and error on my behalf. I live in NC where these boots will be used more for wet weather rather than snowy weather. I usually wear a 12D true. I'm currently happily wearing a size 10 comfortably with normal socks. I purchased an 11 originally, expecting to wear both thick and normal socks but when I wore this socks there was some breathing room, but with regular socks they were uncomfortably too big.

These are by far the best shoes/boots I have ever bought! They are comfortable and you have to order size down. For me I wear a 10-10.5 in all my other shoes but in these a size 9 fits perfect! Trust me when I say this...these boots are WORTH the wait! DO NOT! Buy the off brand due to having to wait on backorder because in the end you will wish you would have gotten the real thing. Lastly, they are true to there guarantee, if you do not like your boots for whatever reason you can call and return them for something else at anytime! Order these boots and I guarantee you will love them!

I normally wear size 11E shoes, and for this order I followed your suggestion and ordered a pair of 10W, it is a perfect fit, and they are very comfortable.

Have had my first pair of Bean boots for a few weeks now, and love them so far. Quality is great, and the stitching is amazing. Great looking boots and they perform just as well. They do run a bit large so make sure to check the sizing chart. Definitely can't wait to wear them more this wintah!

Really loved these boots, however I did order a size too big even with heavy duty socks. Definitely order 1 size smaller than your regular shoe size to get a good fit. I had to send my size 11 pair back for a size 10 which won't be available until January, however I'm willing to pay that price.

I've been thinking about getting a pair of Bean boots for several years now and finally pulled the trigger. Perfect timing too because we got our first serious snow of the winter about 5 days after they arrived, perfect to test my new boots out. Better than I could have expected. I was nervous about sizing, but I ended up following LL Bean's advice and going a size down and they fit perfectly. So far they've been great, can't wait to use them for many winters to come.

My first and still favorite pair of bean boots is the Maine hunting shoe slip on wellington style which are no longer in production (from what I can see) so I bought these to use as an alternate when I send my favs back to Maine for a rebuild. These are still in the break in period, fit and finish are great, true quality boots. I dislike the original laces so I changed to a flat wide lace. I also gave my wife a pair and she likes them very much.

Durable, American made, and you have it for life. Simply cannot go wrong for 130 bucks.

I just received my Bean boots. The first pair I've ever had. Now I know what everyone has been raving about. The care and expertise put unto the manufacture process of these boots is the superb. I was afraid of the sizing issue that some people have had but I followed directions and bam, right size first time. They fit really well and are very comfortable during daily trials. My one regret is that they don't have the signature label sewn into the inner edge anymore.

Perfect for trudging through the city on a messy winter day. Wondering if anyone has ever taken these to Iceland for glacier hiking though? Wonder how they'd fair.

I love these boots. They're a great accent to just about anything you can wear, super functional, and as comfortable as you could ever want. I have zero complaints; although the fit is somewhat difficult to nail. I typically wear a 10.5, and don't have to worry about width (although I usually cannot fit Nike running shoes very well). I tried a 9, and it was way too long, the 8 fit in length, but was tight about my heel. The wide model fit perfectly with regular and wool socks. I think the most annoying thing was, since the store was sold out of just about every size variance, I had to order each to see if it would fit. So it took about a month to get one that fit.

These are the best rain/snow boots anyone can buy! They are extremely versatile. You can wear them as a fashion statement or wear them when you want to do some dirty work in them. I've done both already. They look great and they feel great. For sizing, definitely listen to L.L Bean's recommendation. I usually wear a size 11 so I got a 10 in the boots and they fit perfect. Plenty of room for thicker socks and breathability. If you are looking for a boot, look no further. These are exactly what you need!

The boots are solid. The sizing is weird but the advice they give about it is pretty helpful. If they don't fit, you can send them back for free.

I have been wearing Bean Boots since I was in college in the 80's. They have been consistently reliable through the years - and they last a good long while. My latest purchase was for my son. Hopefully he comes to realize the value of the product as he wears them for the next years to come.

These are my first LL BEAN boots. So far, so good. I haven't tested them in inclement weather yet. They seem to be solid and waterproof. I wear a size 43 (European) or 9.5 (US) in shoe. The recommendation for me was a size 8 in this boot. Hmmm, seems like it would be too small. Nope, fits perfectly. Maybe just a touch small but I don't wear thick socks so they fit just like my shoes. I needed boots to tuck my pants into when I trudge through a grassy knoll on way into work. These should fit the bill.

I've been wearing Bean Boots for outdoor activities, especially work, for many years and am always impressed with how the simple melding of rubber boots and leather boots created one that has the advantages of both: waterproof and breathable. Leather boots are never as waterproof, and all-rubber boots get damp and clammy inside; and I've never found high tech substitutes satisfactory. They are comfortable and last and last, despite my abuse of them. (And the price goes up and up!) I just bought a new pair in anticipation of the sole of my 12-year-old ones finally biting the dust (or leaking the water), but so far I haven't been able to kill them, even with pick and shovel work.

I purchased 3 pairs --2 sons and husband for Christmas -- I ordered early this year -- last year ordered in December and was back ordered until February so I canceled order. Order came in within a couple of days. 3 DAYS I was Totally Surprised. I ordered according to all the reviews My husband wears 13 Wide, son 13 , son 11 1/2 I ordered 12 wide, 12, and 10 all fit perfect!!! I asked them to go ahead and wear the boots because I wanted to make sure they fit properly. They all love them. We had a little bit of rain and feet stayed dry. A little bit pricey, but the old saying you get what you pay for. All men work outside, so this boot is perfect. Not too heavy, comfortable, my husband didn't even have to put inserts in them!! Their happy I'm happy

I followed the LL Bean sizing guide lines but my first pair was too small. I had to return (cost me shipping $$$) and ended up ordering just 1/2 size down from normal. I probably could have called customer service and gotten the return shipping charge waived, but I didn't want to mess with it. Just be careful of the size when you order. I love the boots though. It's been too warm and dry to put them to use yet, but I'm sure they'll be nice to have once fall/winter set in.

I would buy these shoes a million times. They are comfy, classy, and I love the fact that they are handmade. I like knowing that a lot of time and effort was put into a product I'm buying. And made from quality materials too. Very happy with purchase.

I have owned Bean Boots, aka duck boots, for many years. My first pair had the thinsulate liner, which keeps my feet warm in the middle of Winter when paired with heavy wool socks. However I wanted a pair that were unlined for more moderate temperatures, which led me to ordering this style. My original pair are still going strong and look nearly new after years of use. They need new boot laces and will eventually need the soles replaced but the boots themselves are in remarkable condition. Needless to mention they are easy to clean. As for fit, I wear a size 12 in almost every brand of shoe, among which include Nike, Sperry, and most athletic brand shoes. In Red Wing boots and other heavy duty boots I wear 11.5. In LL Bean boots, I opt for an 11, which leaves me room to wear with thick or thin socks. I love my Bean Boots, my friends and family know me for them because they are on my feet all the time in the Winter. Now, with the non-insulated version, I look forward to wearing them in moderate temperatures as well. Most importantly, these are handmade in America and I absolutely LOVE that about these boots. I am proud to support LL Bean and thank them for making a timeless, durable product, right here in the homeland. As long as these boots are made in America I will continue to buy them for the rest of my life.

The shoe fits perfectly and feels indestructible. I have always sworn by this shoe and L.L. Bean has never disappointed. Bravo for American made products.

They definitely run as big as they say they do. They're comfortable whether they're laced up or worn loose. Would recommend.
