I am a size 9.5 and I ordered the 8. I was worried it would not fit. I was wrong. It fits perfectly. Not only do they work great - they are also very good looking. Just make sure to order a size and half down. I also will not be wearing thick socks. Great boots! Thanks.

This is the 3rd pair we have purchased in our family. My wife's pair is over 25 years old. Great quality as all other LL Bean products

Thank you so much James and the L.L.Bean crew for the boots! So first off and most importantly I'd tell anyone to follow instructions and ORDER A SIZE DOWN. Im usually a size 11-11.5 and after debating on ordering I ordered a size 10. Perfect fit with or without heavy socks. Leather sure likes to take it's time wearing in but so far no complaints. Great boot I'm sure will last me a few winters.

Overall, the L.L.Bean Boots, 8" are a great fit and work excellently in the Minnesota winters. My feet stay dry and they aren't heavy or bulking so you don't feel like you have weights attached to your feet. I chose a sz 11 without trying on the boots (wouldn't recommend) but it worked for me. I typically wear a 12.5 or 13 in running/basketball/everyday shoes so I was nervous about the sizing but they fit great. I got the standard boots without all the insulation because I figured I could wear heavy socks if necessary. Don't really think all that extra stuff is worth the money. I think the boots are outstanding and 10/10 would recommend.

Had these about a year and a half. Bought them spur of the moment really but I absolutely love my original bean boots! Very comfortable. Had really no issues minus having to replace the insoles but that's to be expected. Would definitely recommend these as a first pair

Purchased these boots after doing a lot of research. I wear a size 9-9.5 in running shoes and a size 9 in regular boots. purchased a size 8 and they fit awesome! Wear them with athletic socks but there is still room to wear them with heavier socks if needed. I would recommend these to anyone who lives where the weather can be wet, rainy, or snowy. i wear them to work in an office setting and where them to shovel and take the dog for walks. Perfect! i had an issue that i emailed customer service about and they were absolutely awesome. They responded within an hour with an answer and a way to solve my issue. Ann was very helpful and i couldn't be happier! will be buying more products from llbean in the future for sure.

I bought a pair of these for my 14yo son for Christmas as he has admired his Dad's for quite some time now. (His Dad's pair is probably 25+yo and still going strong). Of course he loves them! I only wish I knew what size feet he was going to be when he stops growing because he will most likely out grow these before they wear out. He's worn them to school every day (in this horrible 2017/2018 winter we have been having) and has gotten lots of comments on them. Keep doing what you do best LLBean!

Bought these boots as a gift for our son.He does alot of work in wet conditions.He says they are super comfortable and have not leaked since he's had them.Just be sure to order one size smaller than usual as they run large.

Ordered the Duck Boots for a Christmas present. I followed the sizing instructions to order a size Smaller and the fit was Perfect with room for the thicker socks. So glad I read the sizing instructions!

Purchased these for my husband for Christmas. He normally wears a 10 1/2 so I bought a 9 because it said to downsize as they run big. I was really worried about buying a 9 and them not fitting so I ordered a 10 as well. The 9 ended up fitting perfectly so I had to return the 10. My husband said that they fit great and were comfortable. He did indicate the leather would need to loosen up a bit as they rubbed the top of his leg. He did not wear tall enough socks. Overall he loved them and the construction is great. We haven't had a major snow yet but they will come in handy when we do.

I have always wanted a pair of LLBean boots. I have similar pair from another brand which I wear for outdoor purposes which work fine but they are not LLBean. I bought a size smaller and they seem to fit fine. I have only tried them on. They are stiff initially above the ankles but I am told they will loosen up very quickly. To be honest, I have not used them, I gave them a rating based on what I perceive to be the quality of construction and initial fit

I love these boots! I wear them inside and outside and found the lined version too warm for inside. The sizing is a bit tricky. I wear a 12.5 and tried an 11 which was just barely too small. Settled on a 12 and love them! So far them have been 100% waterproof, durable and comfortable. I highly recommend them.

I liked these boots so much, I bought a pair for my brother for Christmas. The rubber is more durable than the Maine Hunting Shoe, but not as comfortable. The rubber holds up much better for everyday wear than the Maine Hunting Shoe. I love the darker color compares to the standard colors.

I purchased these boots for my nephew and was delighted to do so. Although he mentioned that they run a bit big, he's happy with them as he'll be wearing thicker socks anyway! You could never go wrong with these boots- they last forever! Thanks LLBean- the family traditon continues!

Normally a size 13.5, had to return the 13 for a size 12.

I have already used these boots a few times in Chicago this winter and they are exactly what I wanted. They are waterproof, they are rugged, and they are comfortable enough to walk around the city without getting sore. One thing I would note is that there are warmer options available with additional lining. I would prefer to wear thicker socks with these in Winter but also be able to wear them in Spring/Fall without my feet getting too hot. Select at least a full size down, and there will still be room in the toe-box (which is expected).

Good fit, leather uppers a bit stiff but with wear becomes supple. No water seeping in around stitching and sole provided good traction on iced driveway and snow. Following the recommendation on sizing I purchased one size smaller than I normally wear and they fit perfectly with mid weight socks. Well made product with a great warranty.

Just got my new boots. Very comfortable. Used mink oil to soften and waterproof. Leather is already breaking in after a few days. I wear a 10.5 and ordered a 9. They fit great with mid weight sock and thicker wool sock. I have foot trouble and they have very good arch and heal support. They seem to be made very well with attention to detail and are now my favorite boots!

This is probably the fifth pair I have purchased since high school, sixty years ago. Have always been satisfied.

I have a very steep driveway that makes it difficult to removed snow without slipping. These boot have the best gripping of all booth that I have worn. I highly recommend these boots they grip well and keep my feet warm with wool socks... no doubt the best!!!!

This lives up to the hype! Excellent quality!

I'd also add that the tread does not cling to mud so much and are easy to clean. They feel great with a pair of wool socks. Sometimes I use two.

Excellent product, attention to detail is very evident on the manufacturing process. First time I got to wear them there was snow on the ground. Very comfortable, dry and warm. Highly recommend them.
