First and foremost, shoutout to Meg, the amazing boot sticher! Her attention to detail cemented my confidence that these boots will last a lifetime. Thank you for being so meticulous!
I would suggest having your foot measured properly with a Brannock device. I discovered I have wider feet, E, and now properly fit the boot! I normally wear size 10.5, and the 9D Bean Boot felt too snug, 10D too long (but more comfortable) opting for the 9EE, it fit PERFECTLY! Amazed because I haven't felt comfortable in a boot in nearly 10yrs. Sealed up with LL Bean Boot Guard, these are bomb proof. I love how walking feels! No squeaking whatsoever, you can "sneak" around with these, I'm sure hunters love that. Waterproof, and warm. I would suggest the unlined Bean Boot for more versatility, multiple seasons. Don't cram your feet with too many socks, your feet need the dead air space to create pockets of insulation. Go for a good brand of heavy weight wool, LL Bean Boot socks.
I also felt it worthwhile to mention they're made in Maine, by some really amazing, hard working, skilled people. Truly a unique product that lives up to its reputation. Thank you LL Bean, and thank you Meg!

I have been wearing Bean boots for years, my last pair was purchased 15 years ago... too bad the return policy has ended, but I enjoyed them and I look forward to another 15 years.

Very comfortable. Getting a lot of use. My only regret was that I didn't purchase them 40 years ago when they were a lot less expensive!

So, my teenager began to wear my duck boots that I purchased over 25 years ago. They are still in excellent shape! The only difference is the soles on the old ones are showing some wear. The back of the boot actually says "Maine Hunting Boot", where the current versions say "Bean Boot". Anyway, I kinda want my boots back, so my son is getting the new pair for Christmas. On top of that, I sent a message to LL Bean customer service about doing a resole treatment to my boot. They said it could be done! My only request is that I get to keep the "Maine Hunting Boot" label on the back! So, I'll send mine in after Christmas!

I got my first pair this year after reading multiple reviews and the boots are so far everything I expected. The day after I got them we had lots of rain and they worked great. They not only serve the purpose of keeping your feet dry but also improve your outfit looks. They are made in the US and if everything goes according to plan should last me at least a decade. They are really comfortable and leave plenty of room for wool or boot socks, just order one size smaller than your regular shoe size. I wore them with my best winter socks in 9 degrees weather and they kept my feet warm. Keep in mind I got them only a couple of months ago, so I will update my review if something changes.

I love these boots. I finally found a boot that is really waterproof. I have bought many other boots that were waterproof for a short period of time and then leaked. I guess you get what you pay for. I will be shopping here from now on. Thanks for making a quality boot.

Received my Bean boots a couple of weeks ago and I am relieved to see that they haven't changed. Same great leather upper and durable rubber bottom. I haven't had a pair of these boots in about twenty years, used to live in them on rainy days when I worked outdoors and believe me thy stood up to a lot. I appreciated their non-marring soles and ability to keep my feet dry while working in the boatyard. I did have to exchange my first order for a smaller size, I based my original order on my street shoe size but they were too large the next size down fit just right. The exchange was quick and easy I sent the first pair back with a request on the invoice for the smaller size and got them back in no time.

This is my first pair of the bean boots. I recommend going into a store to try them on. I was about to buy them online but thankfully decided to go in and try them on. I'm usually a size 12 with every other shoe and boot that I wear , but these run a little big. I ended up getting a size 10 and they fit perfectly! They are very comfortable and would recommend them to anyone!

Boot is as advertised, Fit went down a half size from normal size worn and boot fit perfect. Very happy with my purchase. Boot is made very well and I expect it to last a very very long time.

Bought this for my son. He's says he can wear it all day long because the boots are super comfortable. I did go up a size so he could wear it with thick socks.

My husband wore out his first pair of these boots after many years of hard wear. They are perfect for landscaping work and of course wet weather. Do follow the size recommendations. He wears an 11Wide in most shoes, but a 10M in these boots with room for a pair of work socks. He also has the furry lined pair for winter wear. Perfection.

I was concerned ordering a 9 as I wear 9.5 and 10 sizes, but it was a perfect fit. Very comfortable.

The boots fit great right out of the box and have been very comfortable to wear for two 3+ hour hikes already. I wear a size 9.5 normally but ordered a size 8 boot and they fit great.

Thank you Patty for crafting my boots. I am a boot sock 10 EE, so I ordered a 9 EE, as they say they run large - they are a perfect fit, with about a thumb's width distance between the end of my toes and the end of the boot. Used them around the yard for a couple of hours with the dog and soil moving - feel great!

Well made, the real McCoy here. As other reviews AND the description provided says- if you are not wearing heavy socks order a half size down.

I grew up in Maine and Vermont, hunting in the mud. I now live in Florida, on a farm. I have had these boots for 20 years, they are still great.

The boot is perfect in just about every way. My only comment is that it is a little hard to get on and off easily/ It's not a big deal, but worth mentioning.
