I absolutely love this jacket. It keeps me warm but never overheated. I use the stow away feature as a pillow on my airplane rides.

Perfectly warm and cozy coat for winter walks along the beach

I purchased the Women's petit mid length coat about 1 month ago. I reviewed it and was concerned about complaints that the fill escaped thru the seams. So far I have had no problem with this. The zipper is plastic but also no problem. The only thing I would advise is that it is really not for temps below freezing unless you are laying a sweater underneath.

I love this coat. Over the years, I have purchased three of them. The coat is easy to pack and is warm. I love the length.

I'm only 5'3" and about 160 lbs so coats don't usually fit me well. I bought this coat in XL Petite and XL Regular because Petite doesn't always fit. Well, not only did the Petite fit, it fit PERFECTLY! Just the right length for the hem and the sleeves, the shoulders are in the right place and its not too tight around my middle but is fitted and flattering. It is light as a feather and very warm. I live in Illinois and and wear it when the weather is in the teens and in the 30's or low 40's with only a long sleeved shirt underneath. The wind does not penetrate it but I have not worn in the rain yet. I bought the gunmetal gray and it is dark gray with a blue look to it. Oh, and the hood fits my head perfectly too! It does not fall over my eyes as I've experienced in the past with other coats. Love this coat!

Perfect fit for my petite size 0 frame and extremely warm and so lightweight! The hood is a great asset and covers neck and sides of my face very well and a nice snug fit but still allows hat space for double warmth on single digit days. Zipper is solid and no feathers escaping from the seams. Inside pockets are handy and outside pockets are roomy enough to hold a water bottle. Overall outstanding winter coat.

Love this coat - I almost didn't buy it late in the season, but it's light, comfortable, cut/fits so well. I really enjoy it.

I bought an 850 ultralight down coat in 2013 and it kept me nice and warm every winter during polar vortex type weather for 10 years. I loved how it was so light and still so warm. It was still in great shape but got caught on something and developed a little rip just before the LL Bean Presidents day sale this Feb. Was a no brainer to buy another!

I like the fit of the coat, the large inner pocket with a zipper and a band to keep things from moving around. It is light but warm.

Wonderful jacket, can go from Fall to Winter to Spring! Attractive but comfy silhouette, & should pack up small for travel. Can't wait to try bringing this for overseas! My new favorite coat!

Perfect coat for winter. It is warm, lightweight and very comfortable.

I bought the longer one for myself during lockdown so I could meet friends outside in winter and still stay warm. It exceeded my expectations - very warm and cozy, but also comfortable (so I wear it even when it's not all that cold out, lol). I get lots of compliments on it. So when my soon-to-be-college-student daughter needed a warmer coat, I suggested this one (she prefers the shorter length). It looks great on her and she likes the fact that the coat is warm without being overly bulky.

I haven't used this coat yet but love the fit, color, think it will be wonderful

Very comfy and keeps me warm in very cold weather. It's also lightweight and packable.

I can't say enough about this coat! Fits perfectly, the most lightweight coat I've ever had, perfectly warm, even in the wind. Love the color (gun metal gray) and the two way zipper. Hood fits perfectly too, doesn't flop over my eyes. I'm 5'3" and no one would call me slim and the XL petite fits perfectly. I would definitely recommend.

Love this coat! It is very lightweight but warm, fits great and looks really good on. I bought it so I would be warm and comfortable walking the dog, and it's everything I'd hoped it would be.

I debated about this coat against a heavier coat for a while, but decided that since I LOVE my other 2 'L L Bean 850' coats I would buy it. I'm so glad I did! It's light weight and super warm. I'm 5'3" 130 lbs and the regular medium is perfect. Again I debated about getting the petite medium like my other coats but wanted a longer length and longer sleeves.

It was almost a perfect fit ... little too tight in bustline and will order in the Fall. The sleeve area was a little small and so layering HAD to be thin. Great color.

Very light, warm and comfortable. I bought a size larger than usual because I wanted it to be roomy even over bulky sweaters. It's perfect!
