Very warm coat.i got this new one because I've had one for YEARS! It's still fine but wanted another in a different color. I would recommend this cost to anyone who's not a fan of cold weather!!

After size exchange, gift recipient loves this coat, including ability to stuff in small space and especially ability to zip apart bottom of coat to facilitate sitting. Although the size chart suggested "Small", this size was too small. L.L. Bean customer service facilitated exchange to Medium, including maintaining the original discount.

Soft lightweight fabric. The coat is sleek for a down item. The style is flattering.

I usually wear a small but wanted it a little roomier for layering. Great weight and easy to pack. I live in the Chicago area so definitely warm enough for really the windy and cold winters.

A rare find! This down coat is actually flattering! The quilting pattern is slimming, and the fit is great! Most down coats make the wearer look like a big marshmallow!

I haven't owned a winter coat for over 50 years since I lived in southern FL and then southern AZ. After moving to TN and encountering 19 degrees one morning in December I came home and found this coat on line. It's very lightweight and warm and does everything I need, A perfect choice. Great coat: light, warm, fashionable. True to size.Didn't have a chance to ware it in really cold weather, so I don't know how warm it is in that weather. Would recommend to a friend. I'm 5'1" 115lbs and bought a. Size petite small. Can put a fleece jacket under and it's not tight.

Nice and warm , fits well, light weight but well insulated coat.

I love this jacket! So far I've worn in France and Germany for the Christmas markets, but will be great for Maine winters, too. I love the length and the down is toasty without being too bulky. Highly recommend!
