Second ultralight 850 Down jacket, almost the same red we bought over 12 years ago. The first jacket had some puncture holes in it, from walking in the woods, and super glue helped. But over time, and wear and lots of love, needed to replace. This new one is just as wonderful; no issues with feathers coming out, cozy, warm and light as a feather; and the color just a tad brighter red. My husband loves it just like the first one!

I got this for my husband, so I asked him for a review. He says,"It's warm, it fits, and it does what it's supposed to do." Yes, but I got it for the styling too.

My son loves, loves this jacket! In fact it is the 2nd one I have purchased for him! It's what he will be wearing on his trip to Germany!

Excellent fit and light weight comfort. Could use a bit more down but otherwise a really nice jacket.

After trying the Primaloft pack-away jacket under my ski parka on a cold Sugarloaf day, I returned it for the 850 ultra-light down jacket. I'm not cold anymore. Although the price is higher on the 850, it is worth it if you want to stay warm on the coldest winter days. I think it fits correctly to the size intended.

Very warm and lightweight. Got few tears on sleeve and back when passing by sharp corners..was able to fix it with patch. Those can happen for such jackets in general. Jacket - overall very nice and recommend highly.

This jacket fits very well and looks good. However it is very warm and shouldn't be worn in cool weather.

I bought this for my husband who is a birdwatcher, and found that his down jacket was too bulky to drive and "watch" in. He loves it as it is light but warm, and comfortable, plus it folds down to a very small size.

Light. Easy to stuff in luggage and pull out in cold.

Great undergarment to an outer coat on very cold days.

Ultralight 850 is indeed light yet very warm. I had it during this past winter and it worked as advertised. Hopefully it will keep me warm for many winters to come.

I bought this jacket for a trip to Colorado including visits to the Rocky Mountain National Forest. Ran into snow and temps in the mid 20s to 40. I dressed in layers and this jacket kept me warm even during a hike in the snow in Rocky Mountain NP. Also, jacket is very water resistant.

This LL Bean 850 coat is excellent. It is extremely light and incredibly warm for how thin it is. It also packs away into the left pocket into a very small size. Excellent fit and finish made of very high quality materials. Highly recommended!

It's a good fit. Light weight and not bulky but it still keeps me comfortably warm in the North Carolina winter.

At 6 feet and 165 lbs, Bean's tall medium fits me perfectly. Great jacket for walking, driving, shopping, and I may use it for skiing when the temps are not in the teens.

This is theee jacket that I have been searching for. It is so lightweight, it feels like your not wearing a coat. It is so very warm you wouldn't believe it. I've only had it for a few weeks now but I love it.
