I was so excited to receive my hoodie only to be dissapointed with the fit. It's very boxy in shape. It looked more fitted on model. Also sleeves barely made it to my wrist. I like my sleeves to be on the longer side. These definitely aren't. I will keep. But not wearing much. Only once because I am so dissapointed with fit. I bought to wear at camp. I thought It would be my new go to favorite. Sadly it's not.

I returned it as it fit ok but it was too short in length to suit me. It was made well and would have looked so much better a few inches longer. As I'm short, I thought this would not be a problem. I should have taken other reviewers advice.

I returned mine because it was way too large in the body as well as too long in the sleeves. I ordered the large petite which is what I normally wear. I liked the weight of the material and felt it was of very good quality. However I was hesitant to reorder it in a medium petite since I often find that there can be a huge size descrepancy. I would still recommend it just be careful on the size. Ask for specific garment measurements from customer service.

If you are one that is unsure your correct size, I would go for the smaller of the two you are considering. Be advised that this is a very generously cut. Definitely made to wear over another shirt and then some. I am between two sizes on Bean clothing. Apparently I chose the one that is too large. Everything felt great fit wise, except it hung like a maternity shirt. The waist was so incredibly wide that it was just out of sync with the rest of the shirt. It is well made. Nice fabric. Feels and looks like a quality shirt. I do like it and would maybe try another size, but they are out of stock. I am not sure if a different size would solve the problem of the very wide width at the bottom hem.

Size it good, except that it is on the shorter side. It is comfortable and washes nice.

Love the material and the over-all style. However, it is too short. I prefer my flannels a bit longer, boyfriend style. The pictures looked short, but at 5'2'' I thought the hemline would fall lower on me.

I'm a fan of LL Bean flannel and liked the idea of the casual zip-up hoodie style rather than a standard button-up shirt. However (and sadly for me, because it's cozy and well-made), the relaxed fit is way too blousy, especially in the back. (Maybe other size large customers are bustier than my C-cup profile?) I figured I could sew in a couple of darts to fix that problem -- but the other fit issue that I cannot solve is how short it is. It says the garment "falls at low hip" but it's really not long enough (maybe by today's leggings and a top standard) so overall it just looks boxy and awkward. I returned it in hopes that maybe next season a Medium Tall size will be offered, or maybe the whole style gets a refresh.

This shirt would be amazing BUT just like many of the wonderful clothes from LLBean, they are too short for tall women! What should be a favorite shirt, just feels awkward because I feel like I have to constantly pull at the sleeves or hemline to make sure everything is covered. Please start making women's clothes in tall sizes, I shouldn't have to buy men's clothes to get something to fit in length

I so wanted to love this jacket. Its so soft and the pattern is very nice. Maybe I have a long torso, but the fit is very unflattering on me. I dont mind loose jackets but this was just short and very boxy on me. On the model it covers most of her backside but on me its well above. The first winter I wore this I was 135lbs. By the next winter I'd had a baby and gained about 15lbs of baby weight and it's still extremely loose around the torso.

I am surprised that this item was small for for 1X. After wash, it is definitely tight fitting. I love the shirt but can not buy another for this reason.

I love the colors and the softness of this flannel, but it is a weird length and hangs oddly, so it's not very flatterIng. I'm keeping it to wear around the house because it is warm and very soft

I am not sure how to describe the fit using the too small too large.
For a shirt jacket, the sleeves & shoulders are way too small - this shirt was uncomfortable with a t-shirt underneath.
The body is very roomy & is appropriately sized for a sweater or sweatshirt.
This seems to be a common problem with shirts that the sleeves & shoulders are not proportionately sized with the body size.
No information about how this shirt washes since I will be returning it

Well, I ordered this and was so excited about it. I wore one time. Did not hold shape and actually was quite boxy.... Disappointed. Planning on returning. Overall disappointed in fit of flannels this year.

I bought a small and it was still too boxy and oversized. Too long, too wide, no shaping for waist at all.

I had to return this because the upper arms were extremely tight. I've never had this issue with any top so I think it's specific to this particular shirt. Otherwise, nice.

This top felt a little close, although it was my usual LL Bean size. One thing I have loved about LL Bean is the size consistency, but they seem to have lost that quality recently, which is really a shame. Because this top is flannel I washed it to see if it would shrink, and it certainly did. Completely unwearable because it shrunk so much, so I returned it. Still waiting for a replacement in the next size up, which is on back-ordered for weeks. Soft material, nice styling, but buy at least one size larger.

As usual, the flannel is amazing. Blackwatch is so pretty and the material is soft. However, this shirt has a very odd fit. It is tight across the shoulders but pooches out over the belly. Would fit great if I were a bit pregnant or had a beer belly. Wanted to love it but returning due to the strange fit.

I really wanted to love this flannel hoodie, after reading many reviews. I'm 5'2, 108# and ordered a Misses XS in the gray Stewart & one in the Colquhoun. I'm glad I didn't order Petites, as the sleeves in the Misses are just right. Petite sleeves would have been too short. Even in the XS, the fit is very large especially at the bottom where it bells out at the sides & it is almost too short. It looks weird when it's zipped. The flannel is soft and substantial, but to me the gray was drab, while the Colquhoun is beautiful & bright. However, although the gray plaid was matched perfectly at both the front and sides, the Colquhoun was perfect in front but way off on the sides, like inches off. Disappointed and will return both.

Based on other reviews, I ordered a small and medium petite. Even the small petite is too boxy. Nice pattern. Nice material. May keep the small even though it's boxy and not particularly flattering.

Seems fairly well made like all LL Bean items, but the hoodie is shapeless and boxy, totally unflattering. I plan to return it at my local LL Bean store

Overall, I was really wanting to love this shirt-who doesn't love soft flannel and a zipper to boot? The problem lies in the "relaxed" fit-it's relaxed to the point of being boxy. I'm now looking for someone who can possibly put a dart or tuck in the backing without messing up the flannel pattern. The back is so out of proportion with the rest of the shirt, that cold air actually goes up it. The other problem was that the sleeves are slightly shorter than I would like, and unfortunately, I bought two. Still, it is a good flannel, just not for me.

My measurements are between a medium and large, so I went for the medium since these are "relaxed" fit. The arms were too long, and the fit was unflattering. Too loose and boxy. While the quality seemed good and I loved the giant pockets, this wasn't going to work for me. I am returning and instead getting my go-to slightly fitted flannel.

Plaid, black watch, very nice. Doesn't feel like flannel. Material very thin. What will make me return it is that for a short person the misses size is just too long. Disappointed as I was looking forward to it. I don't think I realized too, that it was a jacket, but not sure what I thought. I guess hoped for a half zipper. I seemed to run wide. In regards to recommending it to a friend, it would depend on whether the friend was short or tall. Wonder why Bean's didn't make it in petite.
