I love this shirt, but it does have limitations. It is great for around the house. The shirt is very boxy, but that makes it comfortable, The problem, as other people have indicated, is the zipper. I like my shirts roomy, I'm about 148 pounds, and 5 ft 4 in. I bought a large, If I went with the medium, it would be too tight for putting shirts under it if I want to layer. Its not necessarily the most flattering cut, and the zipper does not lay flat, Still, it's perfect for California weather at the moment. I think it would be better if it was a quarter zip or Henley type top.

Love the Stewart Victoria plaid, especially for holidays. I assumed it was a half-zip, based on model shown---which I would have preferred.
A full zipper seems odd. Agree with other reviewer that it should be longer to wear with leggings, and a half zip with hood would update it a bit. Just received it today, and hoping shrinkage will be minimal.

I do love this. It has everything I love about the tartan flannel shirts except for the weight of the cotton flannel. The hood is great, I love the zipper and zipper pull and heavenly POCKETS!! But the material is too thin. The cotton flannel shirts are beefier and heavier. Please make more of these, in the heavier cotton flannel and in more tartans.

I love this shirt. Very well made. Soft after initial laundering. Almost wrinkle-free right out of the dryer. Lots of style. (Love the zip front!) Great with jeans or slacks, long enough to wear with leggings. Cut just boxy enough to accommodates a tee or turtle underneath. Really pleased - as usual. Thank you LL Bean.

I really like this flannel hoodie. The fabric is lightweight but warm enough for these cool fall mornings in PA. The pockets are large and deep enough to house my LG G5 or even my bank book style wallet. The XS fits my 5'1", 125# athletic frame well, with extra room for layering. The drawstring for the hood seems quite long; I usually tuck them in so they don't get caught in anything. My only dislike is the fabric has already pilled after only a single wash in the cold, delicate cycle and low temp drying.

I love the weight and quality of this flannel shirt. The only negative is the hood design. I get that most outwear hoods are being designed for fitting over helmets...but this doesn't seem like a sporty kind of jacket (indeed- it's a shirt) but the hood is so large it literally comes down to my chin in the front with no way to adjust it.
In short- it needs a more shallow hood. It's too bad as I was dearly hoping for that perfect inbetween piece for Saturday morning soccer game sidelines...

I have 2 other plaid zip hoodies and love them. The fabric is soft and lovely. This new one I ordered online and was so disappointed. I probably should have returned it. The quality of the fabric doesn't measure up at all. Stiff and thin. Not like the others at all.

I really like the idea of this zip hoodie... That thing you grab when running out or cozying up and want an extra layer. It's warm, comfortable (mostly), zips up easily, nice plaid.
What I don't like is it's a bit boxy when zipped up; the front puckers out and is unflattering, sort of, like a tent dress (maybe I need a smaller size?). The material could be a little softer so that it lays right (maybe washing a few times will make less stiff) and the length should be longer so it falls below the "saddlebags" With some adjustments, this could be a great go-to. Thanks for reading.

The zipper sticks on it. I might return it because I struggle with it. I've noticed this with two different items from your company. A bathrobe and a jacket.

Loved the black watch color, fit perfectly and was excited to wear it. Made the mistake of washing it, now there are pink spots here and there where the green and navy color is just gone and the base material is showing through. I was actually careful washing it, used a laundry bag on delicate, no bleach here, just tide. All my other clothes are fine so it's something with this fabric. Disappointed.

Nicefit, but the colors are too faded. I love red plaid that is bold and rich. I was disappointed that this shirt was not.

I recently bought this in the size women's Large. I had previously bought the men's version in a size medium. The men's version is much nicer because it has breast pockets. The women's version does not and I miss them. The men's was a little big so I thought I'd try the women's. I'm only 5'4" and the large is kind of short on me. Next time I'll buy a men's to get the length. I normally would wear this with a turtle neck under it so I want it just a little looser. Most clothes I wear a size 12, either a medium or large so I figured the large would be plenty big.

Glad I got this on sale. Only had it 2 months and it's already piling and the zipper keeps coming unzipped at the bottom. I've washed it 3-4 times and line dried it half the time. I like the style and it's comfortable, but looks terrible after only several uses.

I purchased this hoodie in both the flannel and corduroy. Perhaps I should have purchased this in a petite, but it was just too long and shapeless and meh to keep. Too bad bc I love the colors of the flannel, and the fabric is really nice. But it has no style at all. Too narrow to be fashionably oversized, too long to look chic. It's just lacking.

I bought this last fall and wore a few times, but fabric knotted and pilled so bad. Wish I had returned it but I didn't. Would not recommend.

I like the washed buchanan color, but I'm disappointed in the lightweight of the flannel. For the price, I was expecting a more substantial flannel hoodie, but this is pretty flimsy. Of course L.L. Bean sells products at a higher cost than other manufacturers, but I prefer to get what I pay for. However, I didn't get the quality that I thought I was paying for. The fabric is so lightweight that it doesn't hang straight in the back, rather rides up on my hips, causing me to tug at it. The style is cute, the color will match many of my shirts and pants, but it is a disappointment. I ordered an XL tall in hopes that it would hit well below my hips, but it barely does that.

This shirt is on the bulky side and fits more like a jacket than a flannel shirt.

Very nice garment. The plaid is beautiful and it's nice and warm. The garment runs small, however, so I'll have to wear it like a cardigan.

Like the style and the fit. The flannel is a bit lightweight. Feels cheap after one washing. Hope it holds up.

I have a hooded flannel from years ago and love it. I bought this one due to the color and expected the same quality. This version is lighter weight. The bottom of the shirt curls up after sitting and is a more boxie fit, not really flattering. Color is nice

It's literally just a flannel shirt with a hood and a quality zipper for the price I am not certain I will keep it. Price and the fact that I prefer my pockets to zip shut as to not lose keys/credit card etc when I sit down or am out for a walk. Nice colors, just not sold on the price for what I got.
