I had high hopes ordering this for fall. It arrived nice soft material and good fit. It would be great alternative to a sweatshirt or fleece pull over for fall. Problem zipper at the bottom is stuck. Tried to make it work. Wish I would've looked at the lower reviews closer. Apparently this has been a problem and hasn't been corrected.

The only thing I don't like is the length, I ordered a large tall and it doesn't even come to my hip. For a tall I would think it should be 4-6" longer. I'm afraid to even put it in the dryer on low for 10 minutes for fear it will shrink up to my waist.

I love that the sleeves are long and the fit is perfect . Looks good with leggings. I wish the flannel was a little softer. I've washed it a couple times but it is still stiff

I ordered 2 zip hoodies. This scotch plaid and the purple plaid which I was not sure about. This Scotch plaid looked like it had been previously purchased and returned based on how it arrived. It took me several minutes to get the shirt unzipped to try it on. I washed it and the zipper is so difficult it has hung in my closet ever since. I LOVE the purple one with a functioning zipper and wear it several times a week. I know I need to call and return the Scotch plaid. I just have not gotten to that yet. I would recommend the item to everyone - just not this one.

Love this flannel - cozy, good fit, great plaid, but the fabric pills with little balls. I returned the first one after one washing, but the new one does the same thing. For the cost, I'm not thrilled with the quality.

Bought this and another with fleece lining. Love the fit, length and softness of this flannel. However, after washing in cold water, the zipper on both were embarrassing. So curvy and sloppy looking. Ended up improved with ironing and steaming, probably will have to keep doing this for a nicer appearance. Just be prepared if you do not want to look this way. Posted pic fleece lined and the plain flannel was very similar. It does look nice the curvy zipper was flattened

It shrank even in cold water and it's very wrinkly. I would. Or buy this again.

Fit was larger than expected and was rather square and not tapered at waist or hips like pictured, however, I ordered the tall version and the arm length was perfect for me.

It looked nice when it came and fit well. But after the first washing it was quite wrinkled. It says specifically to not iron. I tried several efforts-a spray to let wrinkles hang out; ran it on cold cycle and dryer with no luck. The color is beautiful and the fabric is soft and provides warmth. Nonetheless it looks like I slept in it

I love the color and the fit but the material has already started piling and I have only had it a few weeks.

I actually ordered two of these and was pretty excited. It's a nice jacket, but the zipper on the second was damaged and it was unwearable.

I love the colors in this Scotch Plain Hoodie and it's so soft. The only negative comment would be that the shape is even more boxy than the ones I purchased last year. Feels very wide at the bottom and I'm petite

I purchased this shirt last year in the same size and wore it alot. The fit was perfect. This year, I bought another color in the flagship store but did not try it on until returning home. I bought the same size and it seems to have shrunk in body and sleeve width. I am also 8 lbs lighter than I was last year. The flannel weight seems a bit thinner as well. I am sadly returning it.

Loved the plaid, but the zipper was really hard to zip at the bottom. Plus, the first time I washed it the fabric shrunk--but the zipper did not--so the zipper was weirdly wavy when zipped. Had to return it.

I've had this jacket for over a year and can tell you that even washing inside out, it pills after a few washes. The fit is good and the colors nice but not worth the price in my opinion, because of the pilling.

I love this hoodie but the fabric is not great quality.

I ordered this because I loved the color, and falls are cool here in Colorado. I am very disappointed that this is not nearly up to the standards I am used to from L.L. Bean, in the 44 years I have bought from them. The fabric is very flimsy, this is NOT a $70 shirt. You could probably find something similar at Sam's club for $19.95

I like many things about this - thin and lightweight, great color, nice style overall. But can't zip it b/c it is very small/narrow (and no stretch/give) at the bottom. I have wide hips and it fit great in every other way. I just wear it open, but I'd hoped/expected that zipping it would be an option.

The print is beautiful, it's good quality. The fit isn't very feminine/flattering.

Overall I liked this well enough and I almost kept it. Perfect material weight for those warm but cool spring evenings. I liked that it was a full zip. However, if I am going to wear something with a stripe in the pattern, I really prefer to see the material lined up at the seams. This didn't, I kept seeing it, so I returned it.

Sleeves were too short and garment was too snug fitting considering it was supposed to fit furthest from the body.

If only LL Bean could manage to size/cut this hoodie the same each time I order, I would give it 5 stars. My previous hoodie, in a different color, was cut much roomier. I double-checked my sizes and measured the difference between the two items and found a generous 3 inch difference from side to side. I'd even washed the first item many times, so there would be some shrinkage on the previous garment. I chose to exchange the new one for a larger size, which took a month, not kidding (USA domestic/lower 48). The new hoodie is larger than the first one, but with hot water shrinkage it'll probably be fine. I do love the color and the thickness of this quality flannel and it has great pockets. Final word: It's really frustrating having to exchange items because LL Bean sizes are inconsistent and having to wait 5 weeks for the exchange is a bit much in this day and age. Additionally, having to pay for the extra shipping really does not encourage future purchases.
