Bought this as an early birthday gift for myself at the LL Bean store out by me. Gorgeous, super soft, and a nice generous fit. Very good quality and I know this is an item that will last a long time in my closet. I got the Grey Stewart color (women's large,)which is more beautiful in person and the best out of all the prints. Also, I am one who usually only shops sales, but this piece was worth the full price tag!

I ordered two, Large and XLarge. I am 5'7", 169lbs (and losing), 42 in the bust. I have trouble around my waist, a little "muffin top". I have long arms too! The Large fit me perfect! Garment is 100% Cotton and I was afraid if it shrunk any I wouldn't fit in it. So I called customer service and spoke to them and she suggested going the XLarge. I am SO glad I took her advice. I washed the XLarge, dried it in the dryer (I travel full time for work and do not have a laundry room to let it hang dry). It came out perfect!! This is a wonderfully made hoodie. Taped seams, super soft flannel - I didn't want to take it off. I paired it with the Waffle Henley Shirt. Can't wait for it to cool off so I can wear it!! This shirt / jacket will be great in the cooler weather. I am 5'1", and found that the misses was a better fit than the petite. The sleeves were too short on the petite, and the length of the shirt is better on the misses for me. Very soft and comfortable.

Super comfy

Bought this flannel zip hoodie on markdown to set aside for this fall & winter, & I love the cozy, comfortable style. I prefer this to the button-up shirts. The fit is relaxed & after reading other reviews, I ordered one size down. There's still enough room for a light layer underneath, & I don't find it boxy. Ordered another the next time there was a sitewide sale, & I know I'll get a lot of use out of both when chilly weather comes. They wash well & the flannel is soft. Plaids match across the zipper. I highly recommend!

I was thumbing through the most recent catalogue and was delighted to find this shirt in my clan tartan. The only places I have seen the Colquhoun tartan are in dress garments such as kilts, sashes, skirts, vests, etc. This is a lovely, functional garment. The fabric is substantial. The seams are all finished. It will make a wonderful light jacket, which is the purpose for which it is intended. Great job! LLBean How bout some more Colquhoun clothing options?

Where I live in Coastal central California, it is cold and very foggy wet in Summer. I wanted something warm but not heavy. Boy did this fit the bill! I love, love, love this product. The fit is true to size. I am a tall XL and was happy that the sleeves were not to short. It is roomy enough to fit over other long sleeved shirts, but does not look sloppy when worn over just a T-shirt. No raw edges, a huge pet peeve of mine. The zipper edge is finished, thank you for that. The flannel is amazing, so soft, warm without being heavy and the wind does not cut through. A great product.

This shirt is thick enough to be cozy but also soft and flexible. I plan to use it as a cover-up on its own and also as a layer under other jackets when it's colder - especially jackets that don't have their own hoods. It also seems like it would be great around the house to toss on when it's colder. I love the fit, the hood, and also the side pockets. Very glad I got it. My sister saw mine and got one for herself the same day.

I love the relaxed fit of this shirt and the flannel is high quality. I am happy this is now available in petite sizing and comes in so many nice colors. It runs similar in size to the button down versions but if in doubt go smaller as they are roomy. I wish they came in a solid color flannel, like navy. I just got the black watch plaid and will prolly order another.

Expected this to be tight, it's not. Soft, gorgeous flannel, can move easily, perfect fabric weight. Ordered in Petite XL and it's wonderful. I'm 5'4" and a 16-18. Totally love. Want more colors.

This hoodie is classic LLBean quality. The flannel is thick and soft, with bound seams inside. Some reviewers mentioned it was boxy, but I didn't find it to be so. The curved hem adds some flattering shape. I did order down a size to a regular small and it was a perfect fit, with enough room for layering if needed. For reference, I'm 5'4", 130 lbs. I got the Stewart Victoria color and it's beautiful with well-saturated color. Not to wish summer away, but I look forward to wearing it this fall. Well done, LLBean!

Love this flannel hoodie. Fit is generous, which I love. It is so soft and comfortable. One if my favorite LL purchases in a while!

I got the gray plaid because another review said it has olive green in it. The olive and the reddish tones paired with the gray make it super versatile. I got size small, and it's a bit large on me; I could have done with XS. I'll be happy for the extra room in winter when I wear it over the waffle knit henleys though. The pockets are nice and deep, my phone and keys don't fall out.

I got the Black Watch and Gray Stewart, both in Small. So Soft! I hope they have minimal, if any, shrinkage, because the fit is just right. I had also ordered the medium for comparison, and it was just too big. A light to medium turtleneck works fine underneath. So I will treat the "smalls" very carefully and hope they don't shrink. The hoodie part is generous but not floppy, doesn't fall down over my face. Sleeves are perfect. The zipper is a very good quality, heavy plastic. Very durable but not at all stiff. The thing I like best about these shirts is the utter softness. I highly recommend. I would buy a whole closet-full. I would have ALL of my clothing (Yes, even my underwear) made out of this absolutely heavenly, medium heavy, flannel. The colors are rich, too. Beautiful, beautiful jackets. I am tempted to buy another!

I found this wonderful top on clearance and had additional coupons making this the deal of the century. At full price this hoodie would still have been a good purchase because it is sized perfectly, soooo soft and comfy, and cute, cute, cute. I'm sure this will be worn time and again in all seasons for many years to come.

Love this! Comfortable, good looking and great fit. I usually wear an XS and that is what size I bought. Perfect. I am 5'3 and 122 lbs, for reference.

I have more than one Scotch Plaid flannel shirt, including the Stewart Victoria plaid, which are thick, warm and all that a flannel should be. The reviews of this Scotch Plaid hoodie led me to believe it might be a lighter weight flannel, although the videos for the two items say both are 5.3 oz flannel. In a Chat with an LLBean rep, I was told that the Scotch Plaids are registered plaids, which can and do come in various weights, this hoodie being of a lighter weight than the button down shirt. Now I have tried on, touched and felt the button down shirt and the hoodie and I cannot feel a difference. I just washed and lightly dried the hoodie, and it did not shrink appreciably. So, I am happy with the weight, feel, and size of the hoodie, which I was able to downsize from my normal XL to an L which still fits after washing and carefully and partially drying in the dryer. Some say it is boxy, but it does have a bit of curve to the waist area, and the rounded bottom hems help to offset any boxy lines. The twill around the hemline also helps the hoodie to hang better. Hey, this is a flannel, not disco wear!

I just received the two that I bought on the 2-a-day markdown. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! I would love more so I will watch for them to appear on the 2-a-day markdown again (probably never will!). I can't afford them any other way. Yes, as other reviewers have stated, they are boxy. These are jackets so they should be boxy. I can even wear them over sweatshirts. AND THE PLAID IS BEYOND CUTE! THANKS LL!

I had originally ordered the Victoria Stewart and fell in love. I went on to order Dress Gordon and Grey Stewart. As I look at the photos of them, I just wanted to point out the colors were a bit different in person. The Victoria was very yellow cream color and not white at all like the photo looked but I still loved it. The Dress Gordon looks more white w/green in the photo and in person it was very little white and blue was the predominate color - still loved it. The grey Stewart is my surprise favorite. Such a beautiful plaid, nicer than the photo. All are exceptional quality, substantial and so soft. I want to wear them all the time!!! I am a M sometimes L. I just received the Victoria Stewart and after wearing it for 2 days straight ordered 2 more (gray Stewart and dress Gordon) I am a M, sometimes L and M was perfect with plenty of room to layer. I am 5'4" and the body and sleeve length were perfect for me. I didn't think it was boxy at all, seemed to curve in at my waist and the pockets were completely sewn down/in and not flapping. Great quality and beautiful! Love LLB

I liked everything about this hoodie! Rounded hem. Flannel is soft and substantial. Small leather zipper pull is nice touch. Classic muted Grey plaid a terrific neutral combining cool and warm (olive!) tones. Just the right weight for those in-between days. I tried two sizes, but, unfortunately for me, neither worked. On the size chart, I am between a 6 and an 8, and tall. I like casual clothes to allow free range of motion, so often order up one size. My bad to start with a Med (sz 10-12). Way beyond relaxed fit -- I just swam in it. Exchanged for a small, but sleeves were too short. :( If you're considering this little jacket, I'd highly recommend giving it a try. Lucky you if it fits.
