This is a very comfortable sweater! It has a sweater-like feel and texture on the outside and soft fleece inside. It is only slightly fitted so it doesn't get the full 5 stars from me for that reason, but I might have had more of the fit that I desired if i had ordered a small. I didn't go with a small because the medium sized sleeves are just barely long enough and I thought the size small would be too short.

Ordered two of these, one red and one blue, both size L. There was one inch difference in the shoulder width between the two, laid on top of each other, which means a two inch difference in the actual shoulder width of the garment when worn. Not only is this frustrating, but I can't tell which one is the truer size L so I don't know whether to order an XL or not in the other color. Another example of LLB using different vendors and not quality controlling they way they used to. Either the red one is larger than it should be or the blue is smaller (I believe it is the latter, just based on typical fit of this size in other garments, but there's no way to know.) With respect to quality, it is a pretty heavy, thick garment, kind of the texture of boiled wool (slightly stiff), but a bit stretchy. Very, very warm (too much so for the temps most folks keep their houses, but fine for me at 60 degrees in the winter). You could not wear this in many indoor settings for that reason. Both colors are very attractive and the styling is good, as is the fit, except for the size differential. Sleeves are fairly long for me, but I have shortish arms. Good length to wear with jeans (high hip.)

This sweater is thick, warm, and stylish. I am 5'7" and weigh 125....I usually wear xs but decided on a small from other reviews. The small is a little wide even for layering but I'm afraid the xs would have been too short in the sleeves and torso. An xs tall would have fit perfect so taller ladies please consider going up a size if purchasing!

Love this pullover! However, I'm tall and wished there was a "tall" option. I'm usually a large and that's what I ordered, but when I got it and tried it on I realized it wasn't long enough for my torso. I thought about exchanging it for an extra large, but then it would be too large width-wise. Oh well, it gets the job done (keeping me warm), and I can always layer it.

Great pullover; actually like it better than the competitor's pullover which this one is obviously modeled on. Wish it was a tad shorter, though. and ditch the LL Bean label on the outside; rather tacky. But this is a good looking, warm fleece over shirt; worth the $$.

I liked the fabric but the pullover zipper was too short to be comfortable. Plus it was too long for my liking. Personal preferences so I sent it back.

My pullover just arrived this morning and I love it, I ordered the color Pewter. Perfect weight and fit, BUT it stinks to high heaven! Going to throw it in the wash and hope the scent leaves-smells like fish that has gone bad. :( I usually order mediums, but I ordered a large because I want to be able to layer underneath.

I saw this in the signature LL Bean magazine that was mailed to me. As soon as I saw it I knew my wife would like it. She is 5'1" and little shy of 120lbs. Based on other reviews I originally ordered the XXS as my main concerncs were the length of body and arms. Came in and she could not even get it on over her head due to the "slightly fitted" nature of the piece. So we got a small. The small fits her perfectly for a very fitting fleece and she can wear it with a collared shirt underneath. However she likes her fleeces somewhat roomy so she can wear them both casually and to work (teaching). So we ordered the medium which meets the extra room requirement. She is incredibly happy with it and has received many compliments about the fleece. Typical Bean quality which I would expect to last for a LONG time. Looking forward to the mens in September.

This is an incredibly comfortable fleece. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sleeves are a little short. I originally bought a size up but it stretched out after a day of wearing it so I sized down. The size down fits perfectly in the body area, but the sleeves are a tad short. Other than that this is a beautiful fleece that is going to sell out fast! If you want one, buy it! You won't regret it! For future buyers I'm 5'8", 187lbs and the medium fit great.

much too long. i am begging LL Bean to make this in a petite size. i loved it and wanted to keep it, but it was way too long. warm and cozy. well worth the price if you are tall (i am 5'1 and bought the xs)

I normally buy size large in tops. This pullover was very tight. I had to return it.

Love the purple color (why I bought it) but it runs huge. I ordered the XL and it fit like a 2X, downsize on this one.

Although the quality of the sweater was good, I had ordered it in my usual size of medium petite and it was a tight fit overall and the bottom band was very very tight, which made me have to return it. I did not like the lower restricting hemline. I am 5'1" tall and 127 pounds.

Fit is awkward. The sides bulge out w/bunch of excess material making it look ungainly. Also hard to get off. Material nice did feel warm and snuggly. But plan on returning it as it is so hard to get off. Measurements just seem scewed!

I was disappointed in the fit of the product. A bit too bulky in the body for my taste. I returned it.

Would have liked a bolder color selection and partial zip front -hard getting in and out of this sweater. But it is made well and I like to layer it and then don't need a coat which is nice!

I wish I could like the sweater fleeces. I find them heavy in contrast to the regular fleece shirts, and generally a bit narrower all around than I prefer. This one is very pretty and a good selection for those who like it.

Great shirt/sweater. Hefty and warm. I am a size XS - 0-2. I ordered a size Small and it was far too tight..even to allow a shirt underneath. Not my objective. Loved the raisin color, but it went back to Freeport toot-sweet.

The collar is taller than my neck. Sleeves are too long. Rest of the jacket fit well. Nice structured look. I tried to get the tall collar to work but it won't stay folded over, I looked at reviews and saw that some reviewers liked the collar because they have a long neck.

I ordered tall. I'm 5'10" , I don't consider myself that tall. It fits regular size great and tall not so great!

I love this fleecey sweater pullover with kangaroo pockets - it is comfortable, just the right weight, and very warm despite being not at all bulky. But the stitching on the sleeve cuffs, *both cuffs, popped after just 2 or 3 times wearing it! I had to return/replace it. I'm very surprised by the quality of the stitching. I hope the replacement holds up better.

I ordered the Regular Large Sweater Fleece Full-Zip Jacket for me and this Petite Large Sweater Fleece Pullover for my 99 year-old Midwestern Mom to wear inside as she is often cold. The Petite Large Pullover actually fit me better than the Regular Large even though I am 5 ft. 7 in. and 149 lbs. The sleeves of the Petite Large were only a little longer than necessary and the pullover was not so clingy in the hips as the Full-Zip Jacket. I preferred the straight hemline in the back of the pullover as compared to the extended "shirt-tail" hemline of the full-zip jacket. But, I need a full-zip jacket for layering in the outdoors. The Petite Large sleeves would have been too long and and the hip area too snug for Mom, so I returned this pullover. Unfortunately, the Full-Zip Jacket I ordered was too clingy for me.

I love everything from Bean but this sweater fleece, not so much. I always wear an XL in other brands, in Bean its got to be 1X because they tend to focus on making clothes for petite little women and not real women. So I got the 1X, loved it at first sight, put it on and my husband started laughing, which lead me to laugh. The sweater fleece was uber short, the sleeves from the elbow down were like bell sleeves. And the chest, you would of thought I put on a children's top. Im going to chalk this up to Bean having a sense of humor but this sweater is going back, real fast. Just disappointed I have to pay to ship it. Bean, please check your products better before selling them! Thank you!

This just arrived today and I tried it on. I ended up thinking I would have to call a neighbor to get me get out of it. I am large-busted and the bias tape binding on the hem has no give whatsoever, so I had an awful time pulling it back over my torso and head. I like this pullover otherwise, so I spent the afternoon removing the bias tape from hem and sleeves and will do some hand stitching to secure them. I will also follow the suggestion of another reviewer and remove the flashy LL Bean label on the front. I am sure part of the price I paid has already been directed to your advertising budget. All things, considered, a nice and warm top that required some revisions.
