I was under the assumption that this was a fleece jacket. The inside is fleece. Its nit exactly as I wanted but will make it work.

I've bought two of these in two years. Each time the zipper failed after about a year. I just bought two more because i need them and am too lazy to find a higher quality manufacturer. But be forewarned.!

I have tried this fleece, which is lovely, in hopes that it would fit me. But alas it was not meant to be. I am 5'6 and do much better in XS sizing with the S being too long and bulky. I wish LL Bean would have more XS clothing available, and it's curious how there are nearly no items in XS for men. I would spend so much money, I'd be a top customer.

This is a really attractive sweater fleece. H o w e v e r -- the cut of the back of the fleece is curved, unliked the front hem which is straight and hangs well. On my husband, the curved back hem puckered out in a funny little way. Our son (age 22) happened to be home, and he did not approve of the puckering back side !! Maybe go back to a straight hem in the back, LLBean. All that said, we still love and respect many of your products !!

Its good, but not as warm or comfortable as the Adventure Hybrid Fleece Full Zip, which, unfortunately is no longer offered.

This is the second sweater fleece jacket I've purchased from LL Bean. The first was from 3-4 years ago. I bought new one because of more favorable recent reviews. The material feels a bit heavier and less likely to "pill" excessively than the first jacket. However, the cuff bands are already beginning to show pulls and premature failure after less than a dozen wears. Ironically, the cuff bands on the 3-4 year old jacket are still in great shape.

It's not sweater-weight; it's a thick, fleece jacket. This jacket will be worn until it's worn out; which unfortunately may be sooner than later for the following three concerns: One: Following two weeks of wear and one machine wash and dry, the "smooth, rugged sweater-knit exterior" shows signs of pilling. Two: I use the zippered exterior pockets to secure oft-used items. The zipper pulls on the hand pockets and chest pocket are small and flimsy, and when they fail, so will this coat's useable life. I'm not sure why LL Bean did not use that same sturdier zipper and zipper pull as on the front of the jacket. Three: The "soft, brushed interior" is thick and clings to a textured shirt and is - at times - difficult to remove. The jacket is receiveing positive compliments. The high collar and the flap behind the front zipper keeps drafts at bay. Combine this with a hat and an occasional windbreaker (when needed) and this is my go-to winter (mid-Atlantic states) outdoor wear.

Not what I expected. The length was far too long, and the material was very stiff. I own a henley version of this fleece, in a different color, and it is soft and comfortable. It was returned.

The fleece sweater is nice looking. The fit is right, but not as warm as anticipated.

The wind goes right through this sweater fleece jacket. Very comfortable, but for its weight, thought it would be better in this regard.

It would be a good jacket except the collar rolls up in back, both before and after washing.

This sweater was tailored for a gorilla, arms were extremely long and probably could not be altered to fit. It was returned. I am not a freak, normally 34-35 inch sleeve length.

All in all, very satisfactory and up to L.L. Bean quality standards--except for the annoying and all to visible company logo on the jacket's front. My older versions of the jacket do not have this, letting the quality of the garment advertise for itself. I'd pay extra to not have this commercial distraction.

Wanted to like this, but..... The sleeves are tight, and actually difficult to pull on. The nature of the sleeve inside is such that there is a lot of friction when trying to pull it on. I have a thin frame, so it has nothing to do with fat or muscular arms. Also the exterior of the jacket is kind of a hard finish, not what I expected in a fleece. Last, I hate the garish Bean label on the upper right of garment. This is a pet peeve -- all manufacturers attach one of these things, but this one is louder than most. Other things being equal, I could've lived with that.

Pros: GREAT quality. Several well designed pockets. Fitted cut that is still quite roomy if you've got a few extra avoirdupois. Cons: Sleeves cut way to narrow. Don't plan on wearing more than a think shirt under this if you want to get your arms in. Collar doesn't like to stay turned down. Way too expensive. The heart wants what the heart wants. But would likely not buy again.

Got this about 3 months ago and the fleece already has a nappy look, picked look to it. This is with light wear in an office environment. More like a sweater than a fleece in my opinion. Seems to easily catch/attract everything. Collar repeatedly turns up on the ends.

I bought this fleece sweater jacket to replace an older one and because we've been so happy with LL Bean products over the years. And this is another good product. I use it for wearing around the house because I'm seemingly always cold. And it serves its purpose very nicely. *If I have one gripe it's that the sleeves are open/loose and do not have a tight elastic band in them. So, when I pull them up to get them out of the way while cooking or washing my hands, they quickly fall back down. The collar staying up takes a little getting used to and depending on how you wear your hair it might be a bit annoying.

I bought this same jacket a year ago except in a different color. The jacket I bought recently is significantly smaller than the one I bought last year with a tighter fit compared to a more relaxed fit the year before. Be sure you try it on before you decide to keep it.

I loved this jacket in the women's so I bought my husband one in dark grey. Unfortunately, it pilled really badly after the first wash. Very disappointing. It is very warm, though

I'm not a fan of the outer material. Wrong size so I returned it. Also prefer a quarter zip pullover instead of full zip.

beautiful Wish that size large was a bit more generous. but an XL would have been way too large.

The wearer cannot fold the collar down. It keeps popping back up. After a while this is irritating.

Great looking, but after three times wearing it, the arm is pilling! I guess it's poor quality for big bucks.
