Well designed, compared with the older version that I had for years until it finally wore out. I like the pockets, cuffs, and flap under zipper. The zipper itself is also improved. The one disadvantage is that it is not as water resistant as my Polarguard version was. After a few seconds in the rain, I can feel dampness on the inside.

My husband was very pleased with the jacket and was happy that it was warmer than he thought it would be.

Liked the material and construction. XL was too large for me. Would like to see a draw string around waste.

I love the appearance of the fleece vest, and have many other pieces of Bean clothing. However, the sleeves on this item are just a bit too long, and they are also a bit tight, given that I'm typically wearing this as a layer over something else. I have a 44" chest and 32" sleeves and it fits fine through the body.

The fleece jacket seems to be of very good quality and of good weight. I liked it very much. However, the large was way to big for my liking. It hung on me. I purchased a medium also and it was way too tight. Could hardly move my arms or get it off. So that particular jacket just doesn't fit me. Which was unfortunate otherwise I would of loved the jacket.

It looks really good and the material is awesome (also very warm, but not to heavy). However, it fits a little tight and is a little too short in the front (the back is cut slightly longer). With this said, I really like this item and still wear it a lot.

Purchased this jacket for my son who is athletic build, very long arms and legs. The Med Tall worked perfectly. He definitely needed the Medium in the body and the Tall gave him the extra sleeve length he needed.

Very good quality and style; will look good in regular and business casual attire. My reservations are that it is not lined so it will not stop the wind from making you chilly. Wear something underneath or over it. The waist is not elastic so it looks nicer but allows wind and cold air to enter your torso. Also, there is a small outer breast zipper pocket but not on the inside to hold one's wallet. There are a couple of open bucket pockets on both sides of the interior.

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He owns bean shirts in tall large. This item is described as slightly fitted so I ordered an xl tall. Seems to be well made and very handsome looking. However the front of the fleece is shorter than the back. Overall for a tall size I would expect it to be longer than what it is. So I deducted a star. I think he really likes it though. It better not shrink.

New fitted style, product came just as described. The color was the new brick red, also true to color. Extra pocket up near the chest for phone or whatever you like. It was a hard sell as it was for someone who prefers natural fibers. Looks good on him and fits well. I would recommend only gave 4 stars, it's just missing that wow factor or really need to buy another one in a different color.

They advertise a slim fit and that's what it is. I don't understand some comments that said it's made for overweight people. I'm considered a slim build and I sure would not want to try to fit into it if I was any heavier. As several others have commented, the sleeves are in fact very slim and don't just slip on, but then it's not a project to squeeze in either. Have gotten several compliments on the looks. Fabric is smoother than I'd expected from the descriptor "fleece"; has more of a felt wool feel and look. BUT: I also do not like going around advertising LLB with the logo - at least logo is small. Another BUT: it's a nice tight weave but it is still fleece, meaning that it doesn't cut wind as well as a shell layer and if I'm going out into a cold wind I either have something over it or just wear something else that's made for winter. I'm considering this a comfortable, nice looking fall and spring coat.

Quality jacket. Good fit. I like the weave of this polyester compared to normal fleece. Nice appearance, comfortable and seems warm. Sale price was about right, though I believe the normal price was a bit high.

This jacket is cut so it is longer in back than front, because of this it was too short in front for my husband. The sleeves were plenty long, so we decided against ordering in tall. Had to return.

Jacket has a nice soft feel. Only complaint is that the inside seems to stick to my shirts and makes it difficult to put on and take off. I would prefer a liner to make it easier put on and take off.

I hate the garish logo patch on the chest and have painted it over. The sleeves are a little long and hard to shorten. Otherwise, love the jacket. This is my second one (the first didn't have the logo patch).

I recently purchased the Sweater Fleece Jacket (Large), and find it very warm and comfortable. The best part is having a full length zipper, which can be used as you go from indoors to outside. The zipper allows you to adjust to changing heat levels easily, and not have to take the fleece on and off, as with so many other fleece products. I chose the slightly fitted version, which fits me perfectly. As usual with most L.L. Bean products, excellent quality and workmanship. Looking forward to using it all winter here in N.J.,where it can be 5 degrees at 6AM, and 45 degrees by 2PM on the same day.

It's light, good looking and well constructed. It does not fit perfectly because of my odd size. I have long arms and a short torso. I bought the long large which is somewhat short in the sleeves and too long in the torso. I still prefer a good Llbean merino wool sweater.

Should have ordered XL instead of XXL. Jacket fits well other than the sleeves being about two inches longer than I prefer. The lining in the sleeves is of a materiel that pulls my long-sleeved shirt cuffs up when it grabs or impedes the sliding of the shirt sleeve. One must reach up at the wrist and try to adjust the shirt sleeve down to be comfortable. The weight of the jacket is ideal for our central California coast weather.

The quality of the jsweater jacket seems to be good but the arms are too long for me and the fix is just relaxed enough to fit around the middle.

The jacket is well made and the overall weight is perfect. It keeps me very warm in moderately cold weather. We haven't had extreme cold winter weather yet so I can't answer to that. My only problem was that the sleeves were slightly too long for me and I didn't particularly like the cuff, although the sleeve length was right according to the chart. My shirt sleeve length is 32" and the chart says 33 - 34. It would have been alright if it had a tighter cuff. But no problem. I have a friend in the alteration business and she simply turned the sleeves under one inch over added elastic and voila, the perfect jacket. Of course if the length had been right for me I would have used it as is but in my opinion, adding the elastic cuff improves the jacket. I bought the cayenne red color which is very nice. One other feature which is a must for me is the chest pocket. Other similar jackets do not have this.
