I like the jacket however if you want to keep warm, put some kind of a windbreaker over it. The cool breeze goes right through it.

Due to the slightly fitted style, I had to return it to exchange it for a large. I haven't received the large yet, but will update this review when I do.

It feels very good and looks good. fits well except that it is a little long in the sleeves, and I wish if it comes in slim fit.

The sweater seems to be well made, is a nice weight, and fits properly except that it is a little long in the sleeves. In a dress shirt, a 32/33 sleeve fits me perfectly so the sleeve must be about 34 inches. The only real gripe I have is that it is a bit difficult to get the zipper started because the material around the bottom of the zipper is very tight to the zipper. It could stand some play there.

This jacket is exceptionally warm compared to an old fashioned knitted sweater. It is not water resistant but it's wind resistant. I have been using it mainly indoors but it is certainly good as an inner layer in winter conditions, or an outer layer in cool "shoulder seasons" where you'd wear what used to be called a spring coat. It has pockets, a helpful feature.
Size is slightly large. My being tall presents a size problem. A large would be floppy loose on me but my arms would stick out of the sleeves using a medium. The medium tall works very well, just slightly large both in length and girth.

Sleeves are a little long for me. But, it's still the good quality that you expect from LLbean.

I bought this sweater jacket and really liked the fit and the Hunter Green color was excellent but I was very disappointed in the fact that the LLBean logo in bright yellow and a different green than the sweater stood out like a sore thumb! I bought this to wear as a casual jacket for work but it definitely should have had a tonal logo, if any, rather than the one that was on it. In my opinion, it really didn't do justice to the beautiful dark hunter green color of the sweater.
Would buy it again in a minute if the logo was the same color as the sweater.

The cuffs should be elasticized, as they were years ago. A return to yesteryear would be good.

My husband likes the layering capability and variety of colors. He wishes the collar was not so tall; he has an average length neck, and unless he wears a collared shirt under it, it rubs on his neck.

It's a great jacket/sweater/fleece, no doubt about it. Quality seems excellent and the style concept is great. HOWEVER, I do not know what is going on with llbean's sizing lately. Large items seem way to big (my height and weight should be a large), so I went with medium tall but as with many of bean's other "slightly fitted" items the shoulders are just too wide. I've had similar problems with flannels and button down shirts from bean. Too bad, since the quality is so good and this is literally the only brand I have this problem with.

It took me a while to get the right fit but a medium tall was just right for my size. I am somewhat tall and slim. I had lost some weight recently and did not realize the difference that made. I really like this jacket. It zips all way up the front and provides some extra warmth more than most polar fleece I have experienced. It is a little stiff in how it hangs on me but I have adjusted and actually like that style. I can wear this in town going out or on the trail. It is versatile for my tastes. and I am very happy with this purchase.

Not bad but- I just went across the street to the store wearing my new jacket and it was windy out you can feel a little bit of the wind going through which I didn't care for two much ,but overall I like the jacket ,I plan on wearing a hooded jacket over it anyway I just wanted the full zip instead of wearing a scarf with my other jacket so I can just wear this under my jacket, but you could Feel the wind coming through the jacket not too much but enough not to wear it on a windy day. Overall I like it

Nothing wrong with the item. Just wasn't what I expected.
Partly my fault, partly fault of the photo and description. I was looking for a thicker warmer fleece and this looked like the ticket. But the fleece is on the inside and the outside is a knitted sweater. It is as described (my fault) although the photo looks like a fleece and the knit doesn't show on my iPad screen. Maybe it should be described as a fleece-lined sweater. "Sweater fleece" sounds like a fleece as thick as a sweater.

I love this jacket! More like a sweatshirt than a jacket. It's lightweight, and warm. It's a little snug but not too bad. I would give it 5 stars but can't because I have found that all LL Bean non hooded, stand-up collars are much too high sadly this one as well. LL Bean please lower the collar height by an inch or more.

This jacket is a nice looking jacket for early fall or spring. It is neither water resistant nor win resistant so it will fail to be warm enough in the winter unless it is worn as a middle layer. The jacket is good looking and well suited for a nice night out in the Berkshires or on a camping trip in the Adirondacks.

I am in the middle between regular and tall sizing. I ordered regular and my shirt was longer than the fleece. I am exchanging it for tall sizing.
It is well made.

Love the fit and style. Not too heavy for winter, but great for casual outings. Always wanted the two inside pockets for hat and gloves. Not sure why they don't show the pockets, a big seller for me

The only thing they could do to make this a perfect jacket ( In my mind ) would be making all of the pockets Deeper. Every time I went to bend down, something almost always fell out at least one pocket. I Love this jacket even with this issue, sincerely.L.J.B- U.S.M.C Retired

The jacket is generally fine. I initially bought it to use as a layer when traveling. The zipped exterior pockets and deep internal pockets are great for air travel and convenient for TSA security requirements. The problem that I had was that I was wearing it over a chamois shirt and the lack of a lining for the sleeves meant that the shirt and jacket fabrics stuck together like velcro and it was extremely difficult to remove the jacket in the process of the security check. The jacket is fine with a smooth shirt underneath but I suspect that any textured layer below (or above) would be problematic.

Great fleece jacket but the ugly logo does not enhance its charm. My husband likes the jacket.
