Relatively light shoes with good arch support. Thicker sole and comfortable padding. Graphics done in good taste. A reasonnable priced product.

These shoes are super versatile! I owned the Gel-Venture 7s and they were great as well. Walking, running, track, trail, grass, gym, bike. So comfortable. I highly recommend the Gel-Venture 8s

I liked the shoes, but, I had to return them, I ordered the wrong size and could not do an exchange to a 9.5 size.

Shoes are nice n comfortable only reason I didn't give a 5 star is the cheap flimsy shoe strings that stretch so much.

nice fit and very comfortable. If you use it too much it looks like the shoes will just fall off, but besides that it's great!

Very comfortable and fit well. The insert could be better. I replaced it with a plantar fasciitis insert.

I wear a size 14 wide, and I have been wearing ASICS for many years. Unfortunately I couldn't find a wide in my style, so I figured a normal 14 would fit me. Until I can stretch them out they aren't as comfortable as my older (5 years) pair. I only wear them about twice a week as I am on my feet most of the day. My old ones are about 1/2 an inch wider at the widest point. Still, I like the look and comfort they afford.

Great tread pattern. Fairly stiff for debris on trails.

I've been wearing Asics for over 30 years and absolutely love them. I have 3 pairs currently -- Kayano, Noosa, and these GV8s. Love them all but the GV8s just fit differently than the others. Even though these are 45s and I normally wear 44, they're still tight in the toebox and narrow in the heal, causing discomfort. Even after clipping the toenails down to the minimum, it's still tight! Quite odd for Asics but seems like a size goof --- never had this problem before. The heel molding is more narrow than usual and stiff. I'm not surprised since it's a trail shoes, just to the point where it's uncomfortable. I do like the lightweight and the breathable uppers, especially here in Vegas -- felt very nice! Like others have mentioned, the insole padding is weaker than my running shoes. I've not had any other GV models to compare with, but the padding in my Merrells was much better. The color is like split-pea...slightly darker than pictured. I've put 3 trails on them so far and will review after a few more months to see how these behave. I absolutely love Asics so I really wish my experience was bette with this model.

I was so excited for a 4E width shoe that was not either white,black, or grey. Sadly, these do not fit like a wide shoe at all so instead of daily wear they are just for short wears. The soles are very soft though
