bought these vans for my husband and decided to customize it myself

These are the first size 13s in Vans i have not been able to wear comfortably. The insoles are thick and make the shoe tighter than normal. If you get these, make sure to go up a size or swap the insoles out.

Rating is prob more 3.5 stars. This is a first time receiving any shoes labeled "Skate" instead of "Pro". I know lots of people didn't like pros cuz if the snug fit. The first day they were quite snug, but they loosened up after a day of solid wear. Well, it appears as if they've overcompensated for that with the old skool skate, which seem much wider than the pro or classic. The length of the shoe seems to be correct, but they def look larger and unfortunately slip in the heel. I'm going to return and get a half size smaller to see if that helps... I hope so because I liked the Pro's! Now that my feet have had some arch support there's no going back to ANY of the classics for me, they absolutely tear up my foot until I can't walk properly.

I love the look and the feel the only thing is I normally wear an 8 womens and they were too snug because of their insole. Had to return go a half size up. Otherwise really perfect shoe.

I love this color way! I like the pop cush insole. A little sturdier than the comfy cush & still comfortable to wear all day.

These look great! This will be her first pair of Vans. I hope she loves them as much as myself and the rest of the family loves them. They really look nice and I know they will be super comfy

i like them in every way i can think of, they just run a little small on me. I guess it's partly due to my foot being a little wide, but not wide enough to actually buy wides. good shoe, built super well, im in the process of stretching them out so i can actually wear them without tearing my feet to shreds. bought them to skate in, definately built solid for that purpose as well, but we'll see how they hold up when i can use them for that purpose.

I really like this design and look, but the height of the shoe is tight. I wear a 10.5 mens. The length is perfect but they're so tight on the top of my foot that they make my feet numb. That's happening while wearing light socks. I pulled the extra thick cushion insole out and replaced with an aftermarket one that has a lower profile. That helped enough for me to be able to wear them, but they're still tight, just not so tight that my feet go numb.

The shoes runs small because of the insoles, even if you order 1/2 size larger still runs small.

I thought yhe upgrade to these would benefit me. I work all day on my feet, sometimes on slick ground and the my old vans did a pretty good job. I thought better traction and a sturdier build would ensure I got a few extra months of wear but I can't even make it a week. Blisters on my heels and toes from fitting so stiff amd tighter than my others in the same size. The sole of shoe is super comfy but that doesn't really matter when the rest of my foot is in pain.

I live in my comfy cush vans. I bought these and have worn them 3 days can't do it another day ilovethelook hatethehurt. I don't understand why.

I really want to love these shoes! But they cut into my ankle and heel so badly and it's incredibly tight around the foot hole. This is really making them unwearable. I wish the structure of the shoe would be changed to better accommodate the extra height the sole has. Or the soles should be sold separately!
