Long time Vans customer, always loved the look of the Half Cabs and of course who doesn't love the man himself. Finally decided to try a pair. It's crazy how one shoe company can find both ends of extremes. My Old Skool Skates are consistently the most comfortable shoe in my closet. Worn for years, love them. I hate to say, but these Half Cabs are the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever put on. Downright painful. I've never been anything but. 9.5 in Vans, so that's what I went with here. The main issue is the tightness just below the lowest lace eyelets. Right where the material bridges across in front of the tongue. Feels crazy tight. I've been wearing them for a week just hoping they would break in. Idk, maybe they need MORE time. Maybe I should have sized up- too late now. To make this a constructive review, the only advice I can give is to possibly go a half size up.

The color was beautiful and the shoe good looking but the fit was off. It was small and tight. I had to return.

Vans always have fit weird, about half size to big. I've been a skater since the 80's and thought I would give em another shot, not my jam.

Sent these back product was defective forgot why I haven't bought these in awhile until I tried them on again foot bed is to narrow made for skinny not wide feet

I bought the shoes late august/ early September. Since then I've been lightly skating in them just cruising around maybe 2/3 times a week for about a hour and a half. They've already broken and I'm very disappointed. For being the worlds #1 skate shoe I'm very displeased I think they could've lasted longer. For a couple bucks shy of 100 I will not be repurchasing. I'll stick to my DCs.

The gum sole is my favorite look but the glue they use releases almost immediately. See photo after 1 time wearing them.

I love the look of these, but the waffle is already coming unglued from the sole causing leaks if I'm wearing these on wet ground. I have had them for maybe 2 months with minimal use, it seems like the quality of half cabs and maybe vans in general has gone down over the years, it's disappointing

I've worn these shoes 3 times out of the two weeks I've had them! I love the ultracush and the look of them with my other vans merch. Unfortunately though my rating isn't so high because of the sole of the shoe's structure has 3 days of wear and uncovered a slit between the waffle and sidewall of the shoe. I have a pair of chima, sk8-hi, athentics, ave's, and 2 pairs of oldskools; throughout the course of owning these shoes I've never experienced such a show in disappointing durability. This experience won't exactly change my love for vans, but I feel as if production on the half cabs were sloppy on this pair.

I had bought these shoes only a month ago and from wearing them 3 times the souls are starting to peel. I just got them broke in and now they are getting broken. Other have seemed to have the same problems with other shoes as well, shame on you Vans. I love my old ones but these simply are not cutting it!

My first pair of half-Cabs in a few years and they felt great...but after the heel split they never feel like they are snug to my foot. Customer service never responded to me and I didn't keep my receipt to return them. Half-Cabs were my go to shoes for years.

I bought a pair of these and I love them. the issue I experienced is that the "cloth" material above the checkered patch on the back of the shoe cracked. I reached out to Vans customer service and they did not respond. Great shoe with a minor probelm, very poor customer service.

Halfcabs were my favorite shoe to skate in since the 90s. The pro versions were my favorite version, adding the ultracush without changing the fit. These new ones are too narrow and stiff. True to size length but too narrow by the toes and middle, sizing up is too long.

The new "skate classic" half cab is not like the pro classic that's for sure . Must be manufactured in another factory.. make the pro classic again plz

I was let down pretty bad. These shoes are already breaking down and the heel is shot inside. For the price they should be lasting way longer.

Had the shoes only 5 months they ripped on the heel and I didn't even wear them everyday

The back split in half the first time I put them on.

After only a few weeks of minor wear, the vertical stitches along the back of the heel on both shoes split, exposing the inner foam. These shoes have not been skated in at all.

Only worn a couple of times and already starting to rip.

Bought my Son a pair for his Birthday a few weeks ago. He came home for Thanksgiving and I noticed both shoes were blown out in the back.

I've been skating half cabs for years, bring back the classic construction, this new popcush jazz is for the birds, don't need tongue centering straps, don't need an extra padded tongue, the fit is completely different and they don't skate or feel the same, bring back the OG

Told me my size was 8 good thing I got 9.5 from another site and they weren't dupes but tight around mid ffoot couldn't even put them on without hurting
