Best hat ever. I don't have to worry about whether or not I got sufficient sunscreen on the back of my neck, it breathes well and is comfortable, and the brim is huge and shady but stays stiff in the wind. I hate having the brim flop around on windy days and there's none of that nonsense with this hat. Plus it folds beautifully for travel, so it's my take-everywhere hat.

This hat's brim is wide enough to provide great protection from the sun, is lightweight and fits great that I'd not noticed it while power washing my fence in the middle of the day.

Comfortable, lightweight and covered the areas needed to reduce sun exposure

When I discovered this hat, I was most enthusiastic about being able to fold it up to a nice flat size AND not damage it permanently. As someone who enjoys hiking vacations out of state and the country, this was an essential feature. As a 69 year old, I like to keep the UV rays from damaging my facial skin; the wide brim and not overly long neck cape accomplish this. The sunglasses holder is a nice feature for those who do wear them. I own several of these and would love to see it in khaki or beige shades. I recommend this hat to everyone in my 3+ hiking groups (once, we had a head count of 7 of us wearing the pumice colored style!) and to all customers at the outdoor store at which I am employed.

I was looking for a comfortable, adjustable, light weight hat with back neck coverage for my upcoming Camino. Thisfits the bill perfectly as well as being well made and robust.

The hat has a lot of coverage and collapses into a very packable shape. It is comfortable, as well.

This is my second hat! I keep one for gardening and the other for outdoor fun!

Second purchase if an Ultra Adventure hat, so I have a spare for the car/travel. Prefer it to the regular Adventure hat, because of better peripheral visibility, and its neck flap is less in the way of a purse strap or backpack/string bag. The slightly shallower front brim is just right for shading light-sensitive eyes & skin, where the deeper Adventure brim obstructs my view ahead. Cool in southern humidity, so light & comfortable I forget it's there, even when using its chin strap. Great for daily walks & all day theme parks. Easy wash, neutral denim blue color, love the dark gray under brim (simulates cloudy sky.) Worth the price, practical, durable.

I run very long distances, often in the blazing sun. I had a hat that shaded my face and neck, but it also blocked my peripheral vision, which is not so good when trail running. This hat shades brilliantly, and lets me see everything around me, too! I love it!

Love this hat ! I've always hesitated getting a hat this style cause it's "not cute" BUT to my surprise it's actually super cute on ! It's light weight, great quality , exact color as pictured and folds and fits in my backpack easily , great coverage (which i desperately need) . The only thing i wish it had was a ponytail hole.

This is the third Sunday Afternoons Ultra Adventure Hat that I have purchased. These hats are great for sun protection when working outside or on long hikes. These hats also wash easily and are quick drying. This is the best outdoor hat that I have found.

I was in the market for a serious summer sun hat instead of the cheap ones available at all of the big box stores. After much research I decided on Sunday Afternoons Ultra Adventure Hat. I received it and I'm lovin' it! The first thing I noticed was the air I could feel circulating on the top of my bald head. Having vents on your hat are important, however, they usually allow burning sun rays to filter through. Usually I have to decide between being sunburned without a hat or hot with a hat. That's never happened before with ANY hat I have owned. The Ultra Adventure hat has happily made that decision for me with its ultraviolet protection factor of 50+, including the mesh panels. No more polka dot sunburned head! Also, its so light weight you can forget you have it on. It is really the lightest hat I have owned. Its hard to believe it can do its job and be so light on your head. The down sloping 3 " brim shades my entire face and the cape keeps the sun off my neck, which is another great design feature. This hat gives protection to head, face, neck and ears without being obtrusive. Other features include a sunglass lock that holds your glasses in place. It works too. I have tried to shake my head to dislodge them and they stay put. Also, if taking a hat in a back pack is an issue for you, this hat folds in half at the brim and can be kept in your pocket. Without a doubt, this is the best hat on the market and worth every penny. I urge people to give this hat a try if you are shopping for the best hat out there. Since its guaranteed for life, it will probably be the last sun hat you need to buy!!

Wow, this hat is so light weight and keeps the sun off my face and neck. I like it so much for hiking I ordered my husband one. Love that it folds up when not wearing and I find myself wearing it everywhere. The wild orchard is more plum like and a fun color.
