An 'Ultra' adventure hat would keep the regular adventure hat brim-width and cape dimensions, and add a folding brim (excellent improvement, it makes it packable) as well as other features. (I have to wear my glasses all the time, so the sunglasses holder feature is useless to me.) This version has a narrower brim and cape and doesn't provide adequate sun protection. The adventure hat has great sun protection, but isn't easily packable (brim creases when rolled). Disappointed, I will be looking elsewhere for an effective sun hat.

Got this hat as a present. Wore it to the beach with high hopes and got fried. Not sure how it got a 50 SPF rating.

The L/XL is a great fit. I purchased this hat due to the folding brim, and an outstanding review on a gear review site. I wore it for an hour or so, and the back of my neck is sunburned. Unfortunately, when I sweat, it runs on the the bottom of the brim in the front and stains the hat, so I guess I will be keeping the hat. Very disappointed.

This product needs a new name..One would think it's an upgrade from the awesome SA's adventure hat, but, it's not! It's brim is shallower, it's back flap is smaller. Though the crown fit like an adventure hat, everything else made me think of a child size hat. The Sunglass placement slits are okay, but, they don't make up for the overall "skimpiness" of this "ultra" adventure hat! Sadly disappointed;( Giving only 1 star.

Do not buy the Ultra I had purchased the Adventure Hat in large but needed the medium But I instead replaced it with the Ultra Adventure as it has such good reviews . Big Mistake Although the design and features of the Ultra Adventure is superior to the Adventure The Ultra fails in the main function of the hat The back cape is significantly smaller and give much much less neck protection The front brim is much shorter also . The Ultra give significantly less sun protection than the Adventure

Wearing this hat in place of my old one is like switching from jeans to lightweight hiking pants. It's light and keeps my head cooler while still protecting it from the Arizona sun. I wish I had found this hat long ago!

the hat exceeded my expectations. Its cool, lite and super comfortable.
