Love the Ultra Adventure Hat. I've purchased two. Cool on my head and fits great. Plan on trying some of your other hats.

Nice wide brim to shield the sun from my face. It's lightweight and doesn't take any room in my suitcase. Please with my purchase

I really liked this hat except that the smaller size was much too large for me and there was no way to adjust it small enough to fit my head. My husband, who usually wears a size large in hats, ended up using it. I wish you would make this hat, and some of your other hats, in a smaller size.

I bought this hat at an Alameda CA street fair and so glad I did. The perfect hat for travel. On an Eclipse trip in South America this hat performed perfectly. I was telling my associates that when I put it on, it was like air-conditioning for my head. The fact that you can fold it up and stick it in your pocket was very handy. I highly recommend this had for outdoor adventures and am so glad I purchased this model!

I love this hat! I bought it for backpacking in the Alps, and have worn it hiking the 185 mile Tahoe Rim Trail, as well as on many Grand Canyon treks, so it has seen serious sun! The wide brim front provides great protection, and the back cape keeps my easy to burn neck covered. I formerly tried a full brim hat, but it would hit my pack, so the cape solves that problem. The fact it easily folds means I can stuff it anywhere for easy access. I'm an ounce counter, so the fact it's under 3 oz, and yet is really nice fabric and very well constructed was a deal sealer for me. I'm buying a second color!

I was looking for a hat to help shield me from the sun during my work as a part-time landscaper. After much research, including reading many reviews, I finally decided on the Ultra Adventure Hat and I couldn't be happier!! It feels lighter than I thought it would and the construction is even better than I expected. This is clearly a top-notch product. Also, I plan to buy another Ultra Adventure Hat when my current hiking hat wears out.

I really wish this hat was available in small! The medium does cinch down so it fits my pinhead (21.5) comfortably, but if it's windy, I'd be relying on the chin strap! Love the way the brim is designed to fold in half, and the hat sits comfortably with a day pack (and would with a backpack, too.) Please start making a Small!

I bought this hat so I could have good sun protection while doing my part-time landscaping business. After researching many styles of sun hats and reading a lot of reviews, I choose this one and I couldn't be happier! It feels very light weight while wearing it; the construction and quality is excellent. It is clearly a great hat for hiking as well...! One last thing - the integrated sunglasses sleeves is a great idea!!

I'm in love with this hat! I have a fairly large head and the medium is perfect! It's stylish and obviously super functional....the perfect hat for our upcoming RV adventures in Utah. My husband actually bought one too. Thank you SundayAfternoons for making the ultimate adventure hat!

I got this hat to use specifically for the Trans Rockies Run - a 6 day stage race that runs through the mountains of Colorado. Knowing I would have long exposure to the sun I needed something I hoped it would give me the protection I needed. This thing was phenomenal. I was impressed with how comfortable it was and how easy it was to adjust the fit. I had no problems wearing it for the several hours I was on the trail and I'm certain the protection made a big difference in my performance. And the sunglasses lock . . . AWESOME. This hat is amazing.

Great sun hat. Love the soft back of the brim, as it allows for freedom of movement without hitting the top of my backpack. And the integrated sunglasses sleeves are great for holding my glasses in place.

Perfect. I've packed this thing in all size compartments, even my purse. Yank it out and it works oerfectly. Light weight makes it very comfortable especially with the tail that covers the neck. Any hat retains some heat but this one is as lightweight as I've had. Hiking, fly dishing, biking, boating, neckstrap for wind, and adjustable for size. I got a large so that I can tighten it up or loosen it for times when I wear another layer underneath. Washes up well by hand and line dry. Buying one for my brother who lives in the woods hunting, climbing trees to his stands, climbing through brush, fjording rivers, it will be folded up and stuffed into pockets. He used mine and loved it. We both have had skin cancer so this hat is a gem in all ways. Lost mine for half a day traveling in England and was panicked - over a hat? Found it, big sigh of relief. Buying an extra now just in case.

Fantastic hat, and I'm picky about my hats, everything I look for in a hat all in one. Great ventilation, great sun blocking ability, and very well made.

Living at 10,000'+, I know I should wear a sun hat when I'm out hiking or kayaking. But I HATE wearing hats. Until now. The Ultra Adventure Hat feels almost like I'm not wearing a hat at all. The brim doesn't make me feel like I'm under a tent. I read the entire Wirecutter review and must agree with their rating of this hat. The new design and features this hat offers make it a clear winner!

This has been a very satisfying purchase!! I previously bought the Adventure Hat and, while I found it excellent for sun shade, I use these hats mainly for hiking and the solid part of the Adventure Hat's brim kept hitting my pack whenever I turned my head. It was also such a crinkly material that all I could hear while hiking was my hat! I ended up giving it away to a friend who loves walking (no pack). Enter the Ultra Adventure Hat - Ta Daaa!! I have worn this hat twice hiking now; once on a weekend and once for a week through hike and I love it. It does have a slightly shorter brim but gives excellent coverage. It vents really well. I wore it for a 30Km day of hiking in the sun along a diversion track and didn't get sunburned on my face at all!! The material is a much softer kind and doesn't make much noise at all. Finally I can enjoy the birdsong. :D Plus - I can turn my head now and the solid part of the brim doesn't hit my pack!! So good. I love the peripheral vision caused by the solid part and love that the rear neck cover sits closer. The brim is also so wide that my fly net fitted over easily without bothering me at all. I don't use the glasses holder because I have prescription glasses and wouldn't take the chance of losing them in the bush but the fold line on the brim has been useful for packing it into smaller day bags for taking the kids to the park etc. Just an all-round excellent hat and I really love it. Thanks guys!

I love this hat! I have been doing a lot of hiking and this hat works great for that activity. I had been using the Charter Hat previously but was having problems storing the hat in my backpack when not in use and it hiting my backpack. This is where the Ultra Adventure Hat shines, it is super portable. The brim folds in half and the rest just folds onto itself. It easily fits in my backpack. Also the cap doesn't interfere with my back pack since it just hangs down. It is not at big as the Adventure Hat and gives less protection, however the protection is very good and I actually like the slightly smaller size as it is not a cumbersome. The other features I like are the sunglasses lock as it gives a very secure place to remove your sunglasses. They are really locked in there and don't move accidentally yet the come out easily when you want. The other feature I really like is less technical, but still important to many people, is the fabrics used. The outside of the hat is a water repellent fabric which is nice for light rain or mist. Inside the hat there is a wicking sweat liner that is connected to a wicking underbrim fabric. When you sweat the moisture moves from your forehead to the underside of the brim. This spreads it out over a large surface area to evaporate and the thing I love is the moisture stays on the underside, it never transfers to the top of the brim or the dome of the hat, thus the hat does not look ugly with sweat areas to others. I love how it stays looking nice. My only complaint is the sizing. I have the Charter Hat and the Sprinter Cap, both in Large, so I originally bought the Ultra Adventure Hat in Large also, however it was too big for me. Upon further review I have realized that the size ranges for this hat are different than other hats. I'm not sure why Sunday Afternoons doesn't have a consist sizing chart across all their hats. Overall, I really like this hat to protect my face and neck from the sun.

I have been searching and searching for teh perfect sun hat. I have a small head and was very excited that this hat comes in the smaller size option. I went to wear it for the first time and alas, there is no opening for a ponytail. Back to my baseball caps and my search continues. So close!

I really wish it had a ponytail opening. I had to cut and sew myself. If you ever have that- it will be perfect!

I bought this for my husband, who does (admittedly) have a large head. Nothing gargantuan, but large. Anyway, at the most extended setting, it was just large enough for him, and he's worried it will be slightly too tight. One star removed because the sizing should expand a bit more since this is the largest size produced. .

Overall great hat! Perfect for my backpacking trip where I needed a broad-rimmed hat that didn't get in the way of my backpack. It's easily adjustable and holds my sunglasses securely when in the slots on top. My only issue was that it was still a bit big on my small head. Happy with my purchase.

The Ultra Adventure Hat worked well for me while hiking in the western United States of America. The only things I would note: (1) the sunglasses slots may only work if you have a narrower head--my sunglasses' arms would've been bent out of shape had I forced them in and (2) could only wear with my hair down (not ideal for hiking) or in a very, low ponytail (hard to do with shorter hair)--next time I'd opt for the hat with a ponytail slit!
