It fits true to size and keeps the Sun out of my eyes. The chin strap works well in the wind.

It's perfect for what it does - sun, rain and wind protection. Its size is adjustable, so it always fits perfectly. It cost about half as much as a Tilley!

After having a small carcinoma removed from my ear, my dermatologist recommended a wide brimmed hat to mitigate sun exposure. I looked at SO MANY online before reluctantly ordering the Charter hat(I usually feel like hats need to be tried on before purchased). The hat fits great with the adjustable strap inside, holds my sunglasses so well that they haven't fallen out once and I've gotten constant compliments on how it looks from day 1. Comfortable, made from quality materials and a great value.

This hat is a gift for my husband. He likes the hat and all the features it offers. Appears to be well made. Bought for the spring to fall fishing, boating & outdoor season so he's not had the chance to wear it yet but I'm confident he will enjoy wearing it for many years.

Great hat for keeping me cool and the sun off of my face and neck. In Texas it gets hot and this hat keep me from cooking.

This hat really protects you face and neck from the sun. The brim is stiff enough that it retains its shape. It is very comfortable and good looking. And it is easy to pack by laying it flat.

Love the coverage this hat provides. It's very lightweight and is well designed with functional and comfortable details. I bought this hat because the older version I have from Sunday Afternoons is quite grubby (though otherwise totally sturdy) after nearly 10 years of frequent use. I hope this new one lasts as well!

Stays put in the wind. Adjustable headband is nice, otherwise the medium I ordered would be too big.

Great hat. The brim is large enough that I don't need sunscreen for my face. The brim is firm enough that it doesn't flop around. It's my second hat (different color) because they are great!

I was hesitant to order when I read reviews saying there is no mesh band for air circulation. I called LL Bean to confirm there was a real mesh band. It is indeed a mesh band but there is a light weight material over it on the inside. If you hold it up to the light you can see thru it. Very satisfied with this purchase.
