The hat looks great and is well made but I'll need to order the next size down. I used the recommended method of measuring and the hat is huge for my head even with the adjustable inside anchor lock-- I usually have to wear a large in any kind of hat. I will order a Med instead and I think it will be perfect. Other than size it's fabulous.

I've had my Charter hat now for several years. It is my all around hiking/photoging hat. The only issue I have is the interal adjustment only adjusts the back, the strap does not adjust around the whole brim. Thi not only causes the back of the hat to bunch up but it pulls the front and back too tight. My DUY solution was I used some paracord, pulled it through the back of brim band and used a compression clip in the back. Bingo! It still holds my sunglasses and the fit is more excellent.

I measured my head several times before and now that I've received the hat had my spouse measure for me and it is 22 3/4" nearly in the middle of the medium range. It fit very snugly. She tried it and it fit but she thought it a bit snug too and she measured 22". Seems like a nice hat but it seems pointless to measure before ordering.

I bought one of these hats because I loved the features - it's vented, has a wide enough brim, holds my sunglasses, is light, floats on water, has a secret compartment and great styling. But, even the smallest size (medium) never fit me well. Using the size adjuster just made me feel like someone was pushing on the back of my head. Long story short, a gust of wind blew this hat right down to the bottom of the Exit glacier in Seward, Alaska. Not only did I lose the hat, but I also left something behind and ruined nature. I thought I had found the perfect hat, but now I don't know if I am going to invest this much money for a hat that doesn't fit me well enough!

I bought this for my husband for golf. He has a very large head and the size large is perfect. Adjustable too!

I love it! It is the only large brimmed hat where I can also keep my sunglasses when I take them off. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. A friend who is also a Charter Hat owner told me about this unique feature!

I have one had. I needed another. This will work great.

I bought this hat five months ago (December), and am just now beginning to wear it (May). The ribbon that will make it smaller, so it will fit me broke yesterday, the hat is huge. It falls off with the slightest wind, branch brushing against it, or if I bend over. It is useless!
