I was so excited to receive these shoes. They look incredible, but they lack in every other area. Support, durability and quality are minimal. My main complaint: The heel is constructed of a paper-thin plastic shell covered in a thin fabric type foam. That interior plastic has completely shattered and is sliding around inside the fabric the shoe now offers zero support and structure. Impossible to run in. These are my first and only pair of New Balance that I will own.

I purchased several New Balance Fresh Foams styles simultaneously, but this pair did not fit like the rest. I feel the shoes were tighter at the insteps, and it may have been confirmed by the short amount of lace being left. I almost forced myself to to keep the pair because there is none left to be exchanged for, but no. I will just wait until whatever comes next.

Having had my v10s for two years, I thought I would check out the latest, the v12. I read reviews of both the v12 and the v11. Issues with both of them but I decided to take a chance on the v11. Can't express how disappointed I was. Three issues: 1) the toe box from the laces to the toe is 1/4" longer. I ordered the same size as before. 2) the mesh of the top of the shoe is thin and flimsy and my foot was not secure. 3) the heel collar was longer front to back. Returned, ordered 1/2 size down. Still no luck. Returned in store, clerk ordered v10. It is still clearly the winner.

I ordered 2 pairs of the 1080v11 in size 9 but different colors. This review is for the purple pair. I liked both colors I ordered. But I discovered I didn't like the style/appearance of the 1080v11. My style comment for this pair is the same as for the other 1080v11 - I didn't like the rubbery tab at the back of the heel and I didn't like how the laces stopped lower down on the foot, because this made the front of the foot look long (ie, made my feet look huge). In fact, when I opened the first box of 1080v11 my first reaction was that they had sent a men's size 9. Bottom line - I am returning them. Wish I'd noticed these features before I ordered.

The shoes fit, but I didn't like the appearance and will be returning them. I didn't like the rubbery "tab" at the back of the heel. Also, the lacing stopped farther back on the foot (towards the ankle) than normal, which resulted in the front of the foot LOOKING extremely long. So it made my feet long enormous - like I was wearing men's shoes.

I love New Balance fresh foams and used to swear by them. However, the quality of these is not as it used to be. Additionally, the back/ankle area is too wide now and the back of my feet easily slide out while walking. This makes them unstable running/HIIT/workout shoes. I even tried a half size down and the issue still exists. Unfortunately I have worn them out so am unable to return. For the amount of money paid, these aren't worth it.

I was disappointed in the back at the ankle - I'm used to more support from NB. And this version had a rocking motion, not what I wanted.

I find that these aren't very supportive, and for those who run midfoot or sprint, you won't get much cushioning.

I had to unfortunately keep this pair because I wore them outside but they're not for me. The support is almost nonexistent. I wear orthotics but after only one time in these shoes my IT band was throbbing! The worst thing too is it looks like more and more New Balance shoes are going to be made from this material. Time to look for a different company I guess. That's unfortunate

Last June, when suffering from achilles tendinitis, I purchased a pair of 1080v10. Six months after wearing them and lots of KT tape, I am walking 4 Mike's + a day. Not where I was, but, better than nothing. I tried to rebuy the v10s, but they were no longer available anywhere, so I got the 11s. They press on my toes, the heel is lower and does not hug or support my heels. I am disappointed and would certainly buy the 10s again, if, NB would bring them back!

I bought a 8 Wide, I suffer from bunions and these were not the shoes for me. the shoe itself was slightly wider than a regular shoe but not by much. I had an issue there my heel and ankle would slip a little but it was too small in the toe box. I also found it was was cushioned but didn't have any arch support and the mesh outside was a but tough and uncomfortable had the texture of a potato sack. They are cute and sporty looking but I don't think they are worth the price tag. I went ahead and ordered a pair of Hoka clifton 8 and they felt much better. They look more like clown shoes but more comfortable.

The cushion is so perfect I want to love this shoes, but I tried lacing them every way possible to keep my heel from slipping without cutting off the circulation in my foot without success. I want to love them so much, but will need to rehome them to someone whose foot fits it better. They do run half a size small.

For the price felt like the top part of sneaker material too thin and flimsy.

I purchased these a little over a month ago, and they are already falling apart. The backs of the shoes are torn and the soles slide around inside the shoes. Very disappointed because they have helped my foot pain so much, but they're not worth the money if they won't last more than a couple months.

Size was about right however the wide toe box isn’t….felt narrow towards tip crimping toes. Very uncomfortable shoe. Painful to wear as they didn’t get any better with time. Wore them for short periods of time and after a few weeks I’ve decided they are not a good shoe. Poor cushioning as well. The back pull tab is ridiculous…New Balance has good shoes unfortunately this wasn’t one of them, at least not for my feet. Customer service is OUTSTANDING.

I've had these exact shoes before and loved them. This second pair did not feel like the same shoe. It felt flimsy with no support.

Bought shoes over internet. The shoes are tight at front of foot even on wide. Loose in the heal area. Tongue is attached to shoe and elastic isn't very flexible so on first time putting them on could hear the elastic breaking. It has made me realize going to a store to try on might not be so bad.

I have been a New Balance purchaser for years and have liked the Fresh Foam shoes. However, I needed to exchange the first overly large pair of 1080s ordered in my usual size for what I hoped would be a better fit. Even in a size below, the toe box was far too wide and the heel cramped. and for an average width shoe. I have never had a New Balance shoe so oddly configured and with such a poor fit. I wore them numerous times hoping that I would become used to them, tried thicker socks, etc. I finally gave them away.

Shoes are okay but I loved the version 10 and these don't come close. There is not enough support and they are larger in the front. Bring back version 10 please!

Loved the 1080s but the redesigned heel is HORRIBLE. Feet hurt and blistered. Best to skip this heel and look for the v10s.

I literally stood on soft foam--my feet then pronated to the extent that I couldn't walk.
