I absolutely loved version 9 of the show. I'm still wearing it because it's so good. It's worn out so now I have to find a new shoe and the 1080 version 11 is awful.! The 2e width is a joke. It's not wide enough for 2 e!! You say the shoe is snug. I would say the shoe is way too tight! Those of us with wide feet now cannot wear that shoe. The soul is fantastic but I can't wear the shoe because my toes are so pinched. And saying that it is a stretchy fabric does nothing for the with. That only helps with the top of the shoe never with the with. You need to go back to your original 2e's and 4e with your shoes. I'm thinking I need too find another brand now, and I used to buy your shoes 3 times a year!! Please fix this!!!

Ordered a 10 4E, and the shoes are so narrow my feet are bulging out the sides. The tongues say 4E, but I'm not buying it.

I have been a long time runner on 1080’s and they have been awesome shoes. However something significantly changed with this years version and now I can’t even walk around the house in them without pain on the top of my foot. I really hope them make changes to next years version as I would love to switch back but can’t recommend this years version

Disappointing that this shoe has changed in size and width. It’s now more narrow and longer.

Brand new out of the box and both plastic heel cups in the back of the shoes are broken in under a week of light use. This is unacceptable for the price point of this shoe. Same thing happened to my last 2 previous models. Obviously the same boat for a lot of other reviewers. NB refuses to fix this problem. It's time to drop the brand...

After several months of post-surgery physical therapy, I purchased these shoes in hopes of returning to running six days a week. Unfortunately after three months of walking, the heel foam has broken down causing excessive pressure on the mid-foot where my incision is. The shoe has a significant curvature adding to the pressure on the peroneal tendon areas. These shoes have less than 200 miles of walking and they're ready for the trash. Poor design. Poor quality.

I love new balance shoes, and I own many pairs. However, I have purchased three pairs of the 1080s and every single one of them had the "adaptive heel" crack. This makes the shoe fit much looser than it should and feel like it is going to slip off while running. I really want to like these but this one issue makes them pretty much unusable. Buy the 880s instead. But serious New Balance, fix this.

The narrow B size was extremely tight over the arch and impossible to accommodate orthodics. Had worn a previous 1080 version for many years with no problems - this version has undergone a major change in the "last" which is unacceptable in terms of comfort.

Very comfortable shoes and great fit, but the mesh started ripping apart after wearing them for only one month!

love everything about these shoes (have 3 pairs) but i'm constantly having to stop mid-run in order to dump debris out of the shoe as tiny pebbles/rocks, etc. seem to make it into the shoe on nearly every run. not sure if it's the extended lip in the back or what but it's constant in all 3 pair. have run in NB for 10 yrs and never had this issue before the v11s

Even though I ordered the widest width available the opening for inserting the foot in the shoe was so restrictive I could not get my foot in the shoe to even know if the width was adequate. I would not recommend this shoe to anyone. I have since ordered the MA411. A much better fitting shoe.

This is definitely not 4E as advertised. They are so narrow I don’t think they are not even wide. I have to return them and that’s is a hassle.

I've been buying these since 1080v6 and quality deteriorated since the style changed with 1080v10. Sure they are more comfortable than the v9 and below but the foam heel on the 1080v10 ripped apart really easily. I thought the plastic heel on the v11 would be a significant upgrade but I'm two months in to owning the shoe and after religiously using a shoe horn to carefully put it on I felt the plastic heel crack into several sharp shards as I put it on. This will be my last one because I am getting tired of replacing shoes every few months after having the 1080v6-v9 models each last more than a year

I was very angry. The foam collapsed over the time of a month or so, leaving both feet slanted outwards. Dangerous even. And I only used them at work, walking and standing.

Shie has lots of cushion but the heel has a very hard Ridge if material that instantly irritated my heel. Sent back for refund

Ordered 11 2E of the 1090v11 like the previous six pairs of 1080's, (three v8, two v9, one and v10) but this version was very narrow. When I tried the 4E at the store, it was way too much volume... the first time in over six years that I had to find a different shoe! My story has a happy ending. My sales person at the NB store brought out the 11 2E of the FreshFlow More v3 and I could not be more pleased with them. Very comfortable and truly a 2E width.

Like many products in these inflationary times, the box is the same size, but the actual content is smaller. I’ve been wearing the 1080 for a while now, and even though these are the same length and width as all my other versions, my foot crowds the foot bed on these, and the sole is a whole ½” narrower than the previous versions. I'd be better off running in Birkenstocks. Returned!

In size 16M, the shoe has no toe box, in other words very narrow... and the big toe on both shoes will rub against the inner side. I think this is a design flaw as this is not present in the Beacon v3. I did not try to repurchase the shoe with a wider width, as they are generally too wide.

Extremely disappointed. It's a lounge shoe now and comfortable enough for that purpose. Definitely not a running shoe or even an athletic shoe. I run 2-3 miles a day and have now had this new shoe for about a week. Not supportive. It feels like it will roll out from under you with any off camber foot plant or side load. The V10 was SO much better. The construction of this new shoe just appears to have had cost cutting as the major design criteria.

I adored the V10. Different story with the V11. The cushioning is still wonderful, but the upper is so much less stable. The lockdown is gone, too. When running uphill, my ankles feel like they're about to pop out of the shoe with every step. the ride is also just uncomfortable at times, which was never the case with the V10. Way too bad!

I searched for another running shoe option since my ultraboosts where destroyed. I decided on these. Wearing them for a week my feet hurt at the end of the day and the back of my right foot is rubbing on the shoe in a bad way. Should of bought another ultraboost

The 1080 2e was a monumental failure for me. First, the sole makes a squeaking sound, but only on the LEFT shoe. The sound is so bad, that it reminds me of the squawk of a residential fire alarm that needs its battery changed. The sound is gone when I am on the trail or on grass, but on concrete or asphalt, it is present. Second, my right toe went numb during my 1.5 hour walk, and now it is painful to the touch . I am still trying to massage it back to back into being able to bear weight.

Can you please give us a version that doesn't have the stupid sock style entry? It's awful, uncomfortable and makes wearing socks with them difficult.
