Everything was great for a few months but the heel is made of foam and it ripped apart fairly quickly even though I was super careful putting the shoes on, having experienced something similar in the 1080v10 and thinking it was my fault. Well it wasn't, apparently. The best of the series was the 1080v9 and it seems the shoes went down hill from there. They are comfortable and worth it if you can find them for less than $150 but they are no longer worth the premium price and you can expect to be replacing them within ~ 9 months.

I have many pairs of NB running shoes over the years. Have always bought 2E. Shoe tag on tongue says 2E. I know 2E and this is no 2E.

Suggest holding off on purchasing until 1080 v12s are available. They may address heal support performance.
This is my fourth pair of 1080s and am disappointed at the cracked vertical heal support in the left shoe that formed during a 25 minute walk while wearing them for the first time. Cracked heal support has been an issue in my earlier pairs, but after much more use. Also, the soles wear out quicker than the rest of the shoe. Everything else about the shoe is great and has kept me coming back. The upper construction (but for the heal aforementioned) is durable and attractive, and the support is incredible.

Unfortunately, thess shoes were marked a 13-14 and too short for someone who actually needs the length of a size 14. The shoes were returned for this reason. Other wise the shoes were comfortable and nice except for the too short length.

I have been enjoying the shoe until I noticed a loud pop while putting on the shoe. The noise came from the heel support when it broke into two. The other shoe broke the week after. Now the shoes are loose and sharp pieces of plastic project into my heel.

I wear a women's medium 8.5 that is what I ordered this shoes was way too big closer to a 9 to 9.5 way too big for my feet I must say these type of shoe are my go to shoe but this one falls short they are not at all like the ones I have worn in the past I have painful feet and these were recommended for me by a foot specialist but this shoe is not like the ones I have worn they are not airy they are hard and hurt total disappointment

The Ginger Runner had the. Eat review and it was of the V10 - but likely still applies to the V11 as more cosmetic changes were made than performance changes.
Ultimately this fit is not great. Super tight on the midfoot. Outter Soles wore out quickly. I used the prime try before you buy and I am grateful I did. Overall not a comfortably and consistent fit with New Balance and not durable.

True to fit with exceptions. Toe box was a good fit and mesh uppers allow for expansion. Not impressed with the hind foot. The "cupped" heel provides too much motion and certainly would cause blisters. Will be returning. Give me my Vongo V3s back. The V5s weren't impressive either.

The 2E wides were a bit too narrow and cramped on my midfoot. I normally wear a wide shoes but this wide size was a bit too small for me. Otherwise this would be a comfy shoe, but it pinches a bit too much to be comfortable. I will try to exchange in store to see if the 4E fits better.

They have changed this shoe. I was trying to replace my previous pair of 1080 Fresh Foam, but this is shoe is sized and soled entirely differently. Very disappointed.
Zappos is excellent, but New Balance needs to go back to the drawing board

I hesitated to buy these, because I had sorted these reviews by lowest rating. That made me think they weren't a good product, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I should have listened to the lowest rated reviews.
The shoe upper is paper thin in its construction. There is no way these have durability for outdoor running. Maybe they were designed for treadmill-only. That would be ok for a $70 mall shoe, but that's not how these shoes are marketed or priced.
I am exasperated trying out different shoe companies, trying to find something decent like you might have found circa 2018. Literally, every company I have tried is manufacturing junk and selling it at a premium price. It makes me angry that I think I'll just keep using my various older shoes until these companies get their act together. Have fun processing returns!

Dont be fooled by the amount of supposed cushioning on this shoe.
it may look like a soft and comfortable shoe but there was little to no bounce or "spring-in-your-step" feeling.
I dont know what it was but i got my first knee injury from running ever while using this shoe after 1000s of miles of running.
I was a big fan of the 1080v10 but it seems like the updated version lost some of what made this shoe special.
Also a side not, the color option for the men's version of the shoe are very limited and disappointing.
I'd also recommend:
Asics / Saucony

I've always been size 12 and haven't had any problems buying online Adidas shoes but when i bought this shoes they feel tight and even cut my circulation giving me cramps and making impossible to run with them.

The base construction of the shoes is too soft. Not the construction I was hoping for. Really overpriced for the weak construction. I have been a new balance customer for years and these pair are really disappointing.

Personally, I really hate when they take a proven shoe and change it - just for the sake of changing it. I have run in the V9 and V10 version of this shoe, and absolutely loved them. With this newest version, some things were arbitrarily changed - I've given this set 3 weeks, averaging 15 miles a week or so:
- The upper is more rigid now, and now hits my foot at a weird spot, causing bruising. It's maybe just my odd foot shape, but the uppers on earlier versions were soft and I didn't have this problem.
- The heel cup is considerably bigger, and even when lacing the heel lock, I can't get away from my heel slipping and the feeling that it is going to pop out of the shoe. Again, I can chalk it up to my weird feet, but the heel feels wider on this version than it did on earlier versions. Hence the "runs large" note on this review.
- The laces! UGH! Some others have noted this as well, but I cannot keep these suckers tied, even double knotting them. I don't even know how you accomplish this little feat of engineering - NB has created a lace that won't stay tied, no matter what. I gave up and stripped the laces out of my last pair of v10's, problem solved.
Some qualifiers here - I have a host of foot issues (high arches, not a neutral foot at all), and exceptionally narrow feet as well. These shoes were my haven, as they came narrow enough to fit, but also didn't aggravate all my other foot stuff. Sadly, that is no longer the case - 3 weeks in and I'm abandoning the v11's, they're causing more pain and issues than they're worth.

Due to isolation because of Covid, I am doing 90% of my walking in our open concept Condo unit on wood flooring. +ves 1. they are very comfortable over the top of arch and toes. 2. the 'heel elf-tab' is certainly necessary to pull shoe on. - ves 1. the new tongue design restricts foot entry into shoe. 2. they are not as soft on my feet a my 'old' 1080s. 3. they are much noisier on the floors; sound like hard plastic compared to the 'soft' rubber feel of the older design. 4. laces are at least 10" too long. Overall -they are the most disappointing shoes I've had and I've been wearing NB since 1980.

The appearance makes you think that its very Foamy and comfortable, it's not. It's rock hard on the heal and entire foot. The branding "Foam" and the appearance with thick white sole is totally misdirection.
You might like it for your own purpose, but I feel its deceptive.

the stiff piece of fabric on the inner size of the arch distorts the rest of the upper. the size is slightly wider than other NB 10 1/2 x wide shoes that I have purchased.

Really liked the shoe, but the first pull of the tonque and the stitching came out where the togue connected to the elasctic.

This is the second time in 4 years I've tried this shoe because of everything I read online, but it has its problems. Shoe looks great, feels good initially when I put in on but the back right heel started digging into my feet after 6 miles or so. I actually ran 9 miles in these on my first run and was feeling good enough to go further but the pain from the shoes was too extreme. Would highly recomend 880's best shoe I have ever owned...I do about 30-40mpw.
