Pretty good shoe with a bulky feel and a clumsy heel of the foot construction. Not great, but serviceable.

I thought it was great at first but the foam in the heel ripped apart within a few months time even though I was super careful about putting them on. I had a similar experience with the 1080v10 and thought it was something I did so I took extra care with the v11’s. I’ve concluded it’s not me and am looking for a new shoe entirely as a family member had the same exact experience in even less time than I did. I’ve been with this shoe since the 1080v6 and found that quality has gone downhill since the v9.

I put about 15 mi/week into these shoes. The cushion is great. This year's version has two issues for me... The heel grasp is not good. My heel constantly feels unsercure. I also have issues with the footbed. I have a 4E (mainly why I love NB) and my roght foot still over hangson the inside of the shoe. I did not have this issue in v10s.

Love these shoes, overall! Great fit and comfortable but i was disappointed by the lack of inner foam cushion since that's what the shoe is named for. Otherwise, I bought a pair for both my husband and I because of the wide toe box, rubber ankle at the heel making it easier for him to put them on, and fun choice of colors. New Balance is a great brand but I would love more cushion in this shoe!

I wear a UK 43 which is equivalent to a 9.5-10 (standard width). First I ordered the 9.5, then the 10 and now I've just ordered the 10.5 to give it a try but think I really need the 11 which is out of stock. We'll see. Comfort-wise, the foam and arch support are incredible. But haven't really been able to test them out beyond trying them on and returning them to the box.

I love New Balance and have always had great luck but these run large. I wish I would have worn around house more, but after 10 miles outside can not be used anymore due to size and slippage

The shoe is great and light. I love the upper mesh. But the heal is super hard and narrow. Really uncomfortable

I purchased a pair of these sneakers and they were a size 4E they were very tight. I have other new balance size 4E and they fit fine. I tried on a few pair and they were all like that, I think they would be a sneaker if they were a little wider.

This is the third generation of 1080's I have run with. I have gone through 2 pairs of v9 and v10. The v11 for me is a step down. The uppers are too stretchy, to the point of making you feel like there is no support. And the heel is "slippery"; no matter what I do I can't overcome the heel slip.

I purchased version 10 and thought version 11 would be just as comfortable. I was wrong. These shoes have no cushion or shock support. In other words their hard. I bought 2 pairs. Begin wearing one pair and quickly took the second pair back for a refund and purchased a version 10 pair. I hear version 12 will be released soon. I hope they don't disappoint.

I wear a size 12 in just about every brand. These have over a thumb with gap in the toe area. Unfortunately I wore them before I regretted them being way too big. Shoes feel great other than length. Would definitely size down.

The shoe is great, the only one that I found that fits my narrow size 14, but it has a flaw that a spy kills the shoe. The heel support snapped like hard candy on the right shoe after only a couple of months. I absolutely hate that I've found the perfect shoe and it turns out to have no durability. Completely unacceptable for this price point.

I bought these because of all the shoes I tried on, these felt the best. Second place was the 880. The Heel: This is so frustrating. My heel slips around (vertically) in these shoes. Based on the reviews, this is a common problem. The tongue: For some reason, the tongue punishes the top of your foot. I had to loosen the laces completely to just reduce the pain. In order to try and reduce the heel slippage, I used the heel lock method. The laces included are very short and it is almost impossible to do this. Especially when you have to loosen the laces so they do not abuse the top of your foot. There in lies the problem, you can "heel lock" your foot in there but then the top of your foot will just hurt more. If you loosen the laces your heel will just slide more and blister. I hate that I am writing this review. I love how comfortable the sole of the shoe is. In the store, I did not notice the tongue hurting. But after wearing them it is a major problem. I cannot run in them because of the issues. These have basically become my shoes for inside the house and for trips to the store. That way I can keep them as loosely tied as possible. aarrrrrghhh! Advice: The sole is perfect and the styling is the best in the business. Please please please fix the heel and the tongue. ALSO, INCLUDE LONGER LACES SO WE CAN LOCK THAT HEEL IN!

My right foot is slightly bigger that my left and my big toe is scrunched at the front of the shoe. Never was a problem with any other 1080. I've owned like 8 diff pairs over the years. Why, I am forced to wonder? Oh, I ordered these online but looks like I will have to go into the store to try them on from here on out.

I have worn New Balance sneakers for decades and NB is my preferred brand by far. Not for running, more for just normal walking. The size in the past had been true to form, unlike other sneaker brands that ran much smaller. So instead of my normal size 13 I originally ordered a size 14, which fit surpriseingly snug, so I reordered a size 15. The size 15 was identical in dimensions to the size 14 in every way, even the inner pad identication stated medium 13-14 in both instances. So either the size15 was mislabled, or your manufacturer is sending you size 15's which are really size 14's. The size 15's fit like the size 14's. Your Quality Control people should look at this issue. The other comment I would add is that the rear rubber top portion of the sneaker is very flimsy and just putting the sneaker on is difficult and I sense this will be an issue as the sneaker ages. Other than that, the sneaker is very stylish. Not thrilled, but satisfied with my new Fresh Foams.

Extremely narrow. Ordered a 4E (the width I typically wear in NB) and could not get my foot in the shoe.

I used to love the Fresh Foam 1080, but the version 11 has a very weak backside that cracks easily. It's comfortable, but fragile.

I USE THESE SHOES EXCLUSIVELY AT THE GYM. THE OVERALL STRUCTURE IS VERY GOOD BUT THE PADDING IS REALLY INSUFFICIENT

Was looking for a shoe with thick bottom cushioning to lessen plantar fasciitis discomfort while walking my dogs but my heel slides up and down, I don't understand the heel design. And the top fabric is a very thin (but breathable) mesh material that I don't think will take long to wear through or tear, so that combined with the cooler temperature white color I chose means I only wear them when doing yard work outside on a hot day.

I really wanted these to work. They looked great and they fit but the heel was lower and the back of my foot moved around too much. I felt like I was stepping out of the shoes every time I took a step. And they were so cute.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks

the heel sole broke, which i didnt think it was possible, one of the reasons which I bought the shoe for. But it did and it only took less than two months, there is actual a metal thing inside the heel and it broke on the left shoe. Also the shoelaces need to be adjusted very carefully every time cause they will hurt the top of your foot if they arent just right. It has a good foam, but apart from that this shoes isnt very well designed, and didnt last very long.

I have bought this shoe for several seasons and loved it until this new version. I wear a 9 1/2 N and I have found the shoe is not has narrow as the earlier versions. I should have returned the shoes. When I put on last year’s 1080v10 I can tell there is a huge difference In sizing. Very disappointing, especially since this is the only shoe with a lot of support that I can find in a narrow.

I have owned so many pairs of 1260s and the fit was perfect. I just had to switch to Brooks to get the right fit.

No confidence that the material would last. The top material of the toe stretched in different directions in just trying to put on the shoe.
