I love the feel of the shoe, but
It does not "snug" my foot My left foot tends to roll so not as comfortable when walking

Normally a size 12, New Balance a 13... and these were not a NB 13. Run short. Felt good though,

I believe I have owned every version of the 880 over many years as a loyal NB 880 customer, so I love the shoe. This is the first negative complaint I've written about the 880 shoe. The lettering for the 'N' this year is really cheap and disappointing though. Just past a couple months, the letters on both shoes started pealing off. Even though they still feel great, they look terrible. This is the first year they've used this type of lettering, so I'm hoping they have enough feedback to scrap it. Looking forward to v12. Can't recommend v11.

I've never loved this model, but it's been my go to for over a decade because it's one of the only ones wide enough for my foot, but they seem to be getting narrower and narrower which eliminates the main perk of this shoe.

I have had about 5 pairs of black and white 880's. These fit nothing like them. Pushes my foot to the outside hard. Actually not wearable for me.

By accident, I bought these shoes, as well as some from Sketchers. I believe that I have bought New Balance shoes in the back with memory foam. These did not have that. I kept the more comfortable of the two pairs, and this was not the winner. Buyer beware.

Despite these being running shoes, I bought this pair because NB was sold out of the 928v3s that I usually use for walking,
What I like:
* They look great!
* The mesh fabric upper is very breathable.
* They're very lightweight.
What I don't like:
* They are too narrow in the toe, despite buying X-Wide/4E shoes. After about 4 miles of walking, they begin to pinch my toe and it's rather painful.
* I'm worried about the durability, as the tread is already pretty heavily worn after only about 2.5 weeks of use.
Would I get them again? No. They don't fit right, and the tread doesn't seem anywhere near as durable as the 928s have been for me in the past.

Fast shipping, v11 is a nice evolution compared to the 8th-gen 880's, which were some of the most comfortable and long-lasting running shoes I've ever owned. The old ones were a bit wide at the toe, but a local shoe adjusted them beautifully with inserts they custom-cut and tucked under the insole.
However, my feet look like skis- low arches, very long and narrow, and not much width difference between heel and toe. I thought that keeping the same size and going from a medium to a narrow would make these an even better fit out of the box. Instead, they're very tight across the top of the foot, and I've had to do weird things with the lacing to stop them from cutting off my circulation at the top of the arch.
Totally my fault, and this is why I prefer to shop for shoes in person.

The last 3 pairs of shoes I have purchased have fallen apart with minimal use. Stitching the "N" symbol and other parts come undone.
As well none of them have been particularly comfortable, which is odd as I only buy NewBalance and they have never hurt my feet before.

My previous 880 v.9 were very comfortable. This newer version besides fitting small is more rigid.

I am a lifetime New Balance customer, but this pair of size 13s is small. I'm developing bunions on my big toes after only a couple of week exceeding in them. I have always worn size 13, so I'm confused why the sizing is off.

I have purchased 50 pairs of New balances through the years and this pair may be at the bottom of the list. in my experience, they hit the ground hard and my foot feels like it wanders on impact. They do look great I chose green and get positive comments about the look. I will use them for leisure and walking.

This is not the 880 of last year... and not in a good way. The shoe fits half a size small, narrow through the toe box and just feels wrong. Super disappointed that in this day of ordering online, and little ability to go to shops to try shoes on that NB would so drastically change this well-loved shoe.

I did not realize these were hobbit sized. I compared to my Human size NB 11.5 when I received the hobbit sized 11.5 NB 880. Nice looking shoe and I am sure it is quality. I had to return and the quickest way was a locally owned NB store. They were helpful and mentioned the company had upgraded their return system so they could find the purchase but still they had to use work arounds for the credit and not straight out exchange. If I find any hobbits I will refer them to the 880. It is difficult doing online purchases and then the sizing is wrong.

I have owned my share of New Balance shoes and never had any fit issue. Sorry to say this shoe this pair is not comfortable in the toe area. It does look great but after putting a few miles on there was no change.

Second pair I tried in this color. First pair was way too narrow. Returned them and tried a second pair thinking the first pair were just off. Nope-same problem. My medium felt like a narrow and were very painful to wear. Returned that pair as well. I own two pair of the same shoe that I purchased last year and they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. Either something changed or it's a bad run. I see where others have similar complaints.

It’s strange. I have the exact same shoe, purchased less than a year ago that fit perfectly. Ordered the same size 15 M and they’re noticeably shorter, too much to accept.
I actually ordered a different color for a change of pace - too small so tried the color I had previously, still no. Not sure if NB has changed their sizing, but they’re sure making things difficult for their customers. Guess I’ll try something else.

Not as comfortable right out of the box as were my pair of 860's that I just replaced. The fit also feels somewhat small. Time will tell how durable they are. At this point I'm probably going back to 860's.

I use the shoe for distance walking. I believe I have purchased every version of the 880 shoe, including two of the latest version with the "soft foam" styles. While the shoe is comfortable, it is not as durable as earlier versions of the 880. The "white" area in the bottom of the shoe actually shreds and blackens when used for walking on hard surfaces like paved streets and sidewalks. I have kept the last version before the material transitioned to the "soft foam" feature because I "repurposed" them for wearing at the gym. The bottoms of these early 880 shoes look to be in much better condition than the two "soft foam" versions I have purchased even though the shoe was used longer on the same paved surfaces. My plan is to transition to another New Balance shoe because my purpose is to use them for distance walking mostly on paved surfaces.

please don't change a shoe that is already great. The double layer of material on the top of the toe box pushes down on my feet making this shoe too tight. I tried my size and a size larger and it still too tight on the top of the toe box. Please go back to the V9 which had only one later of material on the toe box. I really needed a new pair of 880's. Too bad.
