Waterproof, traction, durability. This are my 4th pair of Salomon shoes. I'm extremely tough on shoes. I will continue to purchase, because they work.

Bought the Salomon Ultra 4s as a light weight hiking shoe. I hike a lot in very hot weather and these do the trick. Comfortable, light and not too hot (also water proof). A great shoe all around - really enjoying wearing them.

Your shoes are of the highest quality, the craftsmanship is among some of the best shoe makers world wide, the fit is true & waterproof let's not a drop in. My last pair out lasted several presidents. When I wear them everyday.

Absolutely love these X Ultra's! They fit extremely well and look super stylish. The gortex is a big plus this time of year when there is wet snow everywhere. They keep my feet dry and dry means that my feet stay a little warmer.

I bought the boots for a recent trip to Ireland which would include some hiking. Once the boots were broken, they felt great on my feet. In the wild, the boot really shined. My daughter and I hiked up Mount Brandon on the Dingle Peninsula. If one thing can test gear, a hike on the West Coast of Ireland will do it. The boots held up flawlessly with a variety of surfaces (mud, water, rock, grass). On our hike temps dropped from around 45F to less then 30F with winds exceeding 35 knots steady with rain and ice pellets. The boots (combined with proper hiking socks) kept me feet dry and warm throughout. On another hike to a secluded mountain lake, we had to do some light scrambling. The shoes once again provided great grip and installed confidence. After the trip, I've used the boots on a couple bike rides around town. Winter riding in Wisconsin requires good gear. The boots again kept my feet warm, considering how light they are. Felt solid on the pedals of my Fat Bike. Temps on the ride were around 20F. Granted any colder and I would use my insulated boots. Only time will tell if I experience the same quality complaints expressed by others, but after three months and what I considered challenging conditions, these boots are awesome. Bring on the next adventure.

Bought this pair to replace an original pair which lasted 10+ years

I have been looking for this light weight, water proof shoe for some time. I bought mens because I'm a size 12 - I like the color and fit. I have narrow feet. I put them on and they were immediately comfortable and supported Ny high arch well. Then there is the tread! Walking on my ice covered driveway, they gripped and didn't slip. Salomon will always be my go to.

I've been T1 for 55+ years and my Keen shoes started hurting my feet on walks. Got these to start walking every night but wear them everywhere now.

These are my second pair. First pair still keeping feet dry but some losing grip( ie worn tread)
