I've never found shoes that don't cause blisters and squish my toes together. They're so comfortable. Usually one foot will be comfortable and the other foot not, but both feet are loving these!! I've walked in ocean water puddles, shallow creeks and mud and my feet have stayed dry.

I got these for an adventure hiking Hadrian's Wall. They were perfect! They kept my feet dry and no pain in my knees or ankles. The terrain was mixed. Grass - stones - mud - elevation changes. They handled every terrain great!

I have weak ankles after several sprains and these shoes feel like I have braces on, only better! I also need a wide toe box. I bought them in gray after having bought the black in the store on the recommendation of a foot and ankle specialist.

I wear one pair of Altras for the gym, another for paragliding, and a third for day use. When I decided to climb Rainier (to Muir Snowfield), selecting these was a no-brained. ALL of my Altras fit precisely the same, so I put these on the day before the climb, no break-in period needed at all! Waded across streams, through the snow, etc. and they stayed completely dry inside! As always, very pleased to have found Altra for my fat feet (EEE).

My ballerina feet are so bunion like that these hiking shoes are the only shoes that don't jam into my bunions. I see these air filled like shoes as my only answer to hiking in different terrain in Montana! Love these truly!

They are just perfect. I have gone on a number of hikes with them and everything very confortable

I have a terrible bunion on only one foot. Before a month long hiking trip, I tried 14 pairs of hiking shoes--even wide ones. I inserted the OBOZ insole to give more support to my high arches. These were the ONLY hiking boots that I could wear and they were comfortable out of the box and waterproof when my husbands were not (another famous waterproof brand)! Thank you so much! I look forward to trying the new model with vibram soles. My only wish is that they had a bit more elevation--a few mm.

I love these shoes for sloshing through water. I love the way the water drains out of them. Your feet never feel wet or cold and they dry quickly

I just took them to the Sierras. I loved hiking in them. Very comfortable. Great ankle support. Also adhered well to the granite on my hike up Canyon Creek at 6500 feet. Water proof. Did not need breaking in. Just bought a second pair for hiking around my Coastal neighborhood.

I absolutely love these shoes! Before this, I used to hike in running shoes since I could never find a pair of hiking boots that I liked. These boots can withstand pretty cold temps without fail!

When I was told I needed a solid hiking boot for my New Zealand adventures, I instantly bought myself a pair of Lone Peaks. These shoes helped me survive walking on glaciers, roaring rapids, washouts and cliffs, and 2-3 day excursions through the deepest of bush. Even with hiking through knee-high rivers, my feet never felt wet and putting them back on in the morning after a night of camping in the brush, these shoes were dry and protective. The grip was spot on and the support around the ankles gave just enough stability without restricting mobility. I loved them so much I came home and ordered a backup pair.

I recently took a 4 day llama trek and cannot rave enough about my All Weather Lone Peak boots. They provided great support, worked trekking in and out of water- I had no blisters. Altas have cured my plantar fasciitis. I only wear Altras ever! Completely comfortable!

Bought these for hiking in Utah. I didn't have to break them in, they fit perfectly, and my feet were comfortable and dry the entire time. I would definitely buy another pair.

Walks in the neighborhood and moderate hikes! Lightweight, comfy, and cute!!

I have a wide toes area so these shoes are perfect for my hikes and adventures. I tried them out in very cold winter walks, and found them best with two pairs of socks to keep my feet warm. I think they maybe too warm for hikes at lower elevations in the summer. I'm ready to get another pair with no waterproof and perhaps no high tops for hot summer hiking days.

Wanted a shoe to walk outside in Chicago winters so I don't lose my mind inside! Altra's are the only thing my toes love anymore. Perfect to navigate icy and snowy sidewalks. I am a 9 in escalante's and here too.

I like my shoes, I can wear them year round especially on rough terrain, a really unique footwork, very comfortable & secure.

Bought this shoe to do road running and trail running because I need extra ankle support. Love it! Light, supportive and makes the run fabulous.

I love these boats. I bought them primarily to walk my dog in the snow, rain, and icy weather to keep my feet warm and dry. These hit the mark perfectly. I normally wear a 7.5 but went with the 8 because I like to wear thick wool socks with them and the 7.5 made that feel a bit tighter than I like especially since I have a bunion on my left foot. Without the wool socks, they still fit just fine with a bit of extra room. I am VERY happy with my perchase. I love Altra shoes b/c my bunion has more room AND I can wear my Correct Toes toe spacers with them with plenty of room in the toebox.

I bought these for hiking. I had read that they run a little small. I ordered a size 10 and wish I had ordered a 9 1/2. But I have other styles of Altra shoes in 9 1/2 that are a little short. I can always wear thicker socks. Love, love, love the wide toe boxes and overall shape and fit. My other shoes are for power walking and these are definitely more of a hiker. The higher cut is all about stability when hiking .
